I dined here today, and the food was a delightful surprise. After reading some mixed reviews, I was initially unsure, but the meal exceeded all expectations. The food was exceptional, and the service was truly outstanding. A big thank you to the chef(s)—you really outdid yourself! & thank you Mustafa, Rida & Kamran!

Went on Tuesday as they have an offer on the steals bogof. The atmosphere was really nice. We were served by kamran lovely gentleman great personality and all so Mustafa. They were very welcoming. The food was absolutely incredible. Will be back again my favorite place now for my steaks thanks 😁

I visited with my family the place seemed so sketchy and there was just an off vibe with little to no music and only one member of staff managing everything on her own. Bless her she was running back and forth to take everyone’s orders and serve food and drinks. The place was fairly busy and it was ridiculous that there was only one member of staff running around to do everything. She brought our milkshakes out and said she doesn’t know if they are good and offered to add sugar if they were not good seemed very off and strange to say especially for a steak place. Food was okay not the best I wouldn’t recommend to visit for occasions or if looking for a good steak your better off at toros lol, if looking for a quiet spot to eat alone it’s okay not the best.

I recently visited Hide and Steak with my family on a Friday evening, and we were the only people there. The lady who took our order was very sweet and helpful, though she was the only staff member present. As a group of seven, it did take a while for her to get our order right, and she seemed a bit confused at times. Given she was on her own, this was understandable. The starters were excellent and we couldn't fault them. However, the wait for the mains was exceedingly long. The pasta we ordered was extremely salty, and one of the chicken steaks arrived twenty minutes after the rest of the meals, without any of the sides or vegetables. To make matters worse, the chicken steak was rubbery and dry. When it came time to pay, a different worker, a hijabi woman whose name we didn't catch, handled the payment. We expressed our dissatisfaction about the missing sides with the late chicken steak, to which she dismissively replied, "The chef forgot, it’s not my fault," and still charged us the full amount. Additionally, we were made to pay for a wrong drink that the waitress had brought, even though we had asked her to take it back. Her attitude was unprofessional, and she smirked throughout our complaint. Overall, the poor customer service overshadowed the good starters. I would not recommend Hide and Steak due to their lack of support and unprofessional behaviour.

Food was awful substandard and not what we ordered or paid for

As a guest of Tong Park Hotel , decided to go and have dinner .. had a seat waited 15 minutes literally and left without anyone coming to take my order i have left . Maybe is good , no idea never got the chance to try it and will never go again .

We tried the steaks on Tuesday when they had the bogof offer on. They were delicious. As were the sides of mash, roasted veg and chips. The food was spot on. The restaurant is inside a hotel and there was no music playing so it was just very quiet and we felt like we had to whisper 😄 And service was a little slow. It took a while for our food to arrive but once it did, it was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Halal too!

Was served by a girl who was trying her best. She was the only waiter and did try quite hard. Very well done to her: the owner does need to hire somebody else to keep the customer service high. Food was decent but the girl alone could not manage. For example we wanted ketchup and she had a few other requests from other tables to manage.

Saw this restaurant on tiktok and was quite hesitant how it would be but literally surprised us with how amazing everything was to the customer service to the food everything was 10/10 could not fault it. Thanks to Rida, Harry & the chef who came out and made sure we was happy with the food. The kids food came out first which was so good as we was able to feed them and get them settled before our food came out and the starters we had lamp chops & wings which both were cooked really good and for mains we had sirloin steak which was cooked beautifully and was the best steak iv had. The chicken steak was nicely cooked and juicy had enough flavour and went so nice with the peppercorn sauce. The desserts we got were ice creams and cake which was such a nice treat for the kids and us. Definitely recommend everyone to try as you won’t regret it. Just visited this beautiful restaurant, such good service. We was greeted straight away, the manager//head chef was so caring & answered all our questions. He made sure we had the loveliest experience. We ordered the Ribeye Steak, which was absolutely delish. (Try getting it with the spicy sauce on top) and of course I had to get the Strawberry Daiquiri😍overall it was just amazing. Thank you Hide & Steak !!!

Great food last night and tonight

The food was lovely but the service was poor. One poor girl running round on her own trying to serve everyone. The food wasn't too hot when it came to the table. We ordered puddings and they brought them out before clearing our table first. Such a shame! The girl who was serving us was lovely and tried her best to keep people happy.

Just had a curry here. It was superb and brilliant value. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the Tong Park hotel for the week on business so ate at the restaurant most nights. The staff at the restaurant and bar are top notch and looked after me brilliantly. Nice combination of dishes on the menu too. Sirloin steak was really really nice and cooked well. Special mention to Safa who was very chatty on the nights she was working and suggested a brilliant dessert on my last night of a molten chocolate cake and ice cream. When working away from home it’s always nice to have friendly staff to chat to you and make you feel at home.

U need some soft music playing but wow the steak was to die for! Would recommend

Steaks really good mocktails only one available. Coleslaw and fries not fresh. Recommend cheese or parmesan on the pastas as slightly bland.

Hide & steak is a really nice dining experience, our waitress was very honest about food serve time and attentive with us. We didn't wait too long for food however. And the time we did wait was well worth it. The food was absolutely delicious, all five of us thought so, and we each had a different meal. Also the ice cream was amazing ! Thank you !

Looked after us from the moment we walked through the door, made sure we was happy with everything and over all made sure we had a goood experience as it was our first time also. Had a little 2 day break with the wife in the Tong Park Hotel. Ordered Jalapeños and halloumi sticks for starters and the Jalapeños were cold.....not a great start. I got the tornado fillet steak and my wife had the veggie burger. The burger was breaded vegetables and came with chips, (which were a bit lethargic), and coleslaw, The steak was just WOW. I think for just under £25 it was one of the best steaks I've ever had, and ive had some belters abroad whilst working. The service was ok, I would say that they could be a bit more involved throughout and if you like quiet it was perfect as we were the only 2 in the room, hence 5 stars for me!!

Went out for sisters' birthday meal and decided to come here after having a search online. I find it misleading that it doesn't mention anywhere that it's located inside the Tong Hotel. The space felt small and crowded. It was quite busy considering it's also the hotels restaurant. We wanted to order cocktails from the menu, but they're not serving them yet? The menu is small. We liked our food but it could be better. The peppcorn sayce with the steak wasn't the best. The biryani was all watery for some reason, was OK. Service was good. We wanted to pay the bill, and we were told to go to the bar till but I saw other customers paying their bill by card at the table? The bar lady didn't know what table we were or how much the bill was. So she was going back and forth. Nice place to go, but I wouldn't bother going out of my way and go here again. Sorry.

Frozen food at its worst. Ordered two kids meals and you could tell one was a dried up frozen small pizza and the other was packet popcorn chicken at extortionate prices. I can get better quality frozen food at a supermarket

We Walked in no customers were in and it took 5 min to get seated. After been in 10 minutes I was asked if I want a drink which then took another 10 minutes to get me the drink which was flat when arrived! The steak menu doesn’t says what size steak your buying and no one even the chef didn’t know Then when we ordered our food nothing was available that we wanted

We both got large T-bone steaks and it was up there with the best steaks we’ve had and we are very much steak addicts. The service was great, very attentive and very polite waiting staff and the chef asking if we liked it made the service feel special. The steaks were very tender, marinaded in a special sauce and the price is extremely reasonable considering sides are included. Quite a gem of a steakhouse in Tong. It’s specifically a steakhouse even though it offers a few pasta, curries and burgers clearly as variety for the hotel guests, but if I’m a local and it’s a steakhouse I’ll get the steak! Some people go to a steakhouse and order a curry then expect curryhouse level perfection. The next table’s burgers looked great too actually.

We had a take-away yesterday evening. The food was absolutely amazing. The lamb starters were generous in portion size and very lean. The mains were cooked to perfection. The food was certainly comparable with the other main Asian restaurants in Leeds and Bradford. We will definitely be going back for more take-aways and visits to the restaurant. This restaurant has changed ownership since I posted this review. I have not visited Hide & Steak.

So we booked 2 weeks in advance for 10 people for my bday, and I double checked the booking. 1.5 hr before we were supposed to attend, they rang to cancel my booking stating they had overbooke!!!

Booked a table over a week in advance only to receive a call an hour before to advise they had over booked and couldn't accommodate! Shocking. Unprofessional. Wouldn't even bother to dine here.

Fabulous food. Staying now and just finished my superb sirloin steak! Cooked just perfect with a special homemade chilli oil marinade. So soft and tasty! Highly recommend this resturant. Meeting the chef was an added bonus.....what a lovely guy

I have been staying here for the last 2 nights and can honestly say I could not fault the food service was second to non . Chef took his time to come out and speak about different foods etc If I am back in this area I will defo be staying here

Never stepping a foot in this place again the food was disgusting,burger bun rock hard,found onion peal in pepracon sauce,very slow service.Waited 2 and a half hour for food and over all it was just like the staff didn’t care 2/10 do not recommend. The waiter took all of our orders for mains then came out when the was eating our mains to tell us that there was no more or the steak we wanted and don’t follow anything your seeing online because this place isn’t the best it’s actually the worst

We were so excited and enthusiastic for trying out at Hide & steak. We ordered salmon steak and chicken steak but noticed literally everyone complaining about food as the chief was absent.. However, when our food arrived we were shock at what arrived.. the salmon steak looked like burnt cow’s tongue and the chicken steak looked like squashed lizard by an elephant’s feet… we were not sure if should try it with their mushrooms sauce that had fungus texture. We were brave enough to try it anyways only to end up in A&E afterwards… this place should be called Hide the steak!

No idea how to cook a a steak was awful.

Please change your name to hide the steak because it felt like you had hidden the steak and I had to go look for it. I left with a parched throat because i didnt get my drink in the 1 hour and a half that I was there. After seeing the disgusted looks on the other customers who recieved raw food, I had no choice but to leave.

We dined a week after opening night and absolutely loved it. The steak was cooked to perfection and the stuffed jalapeño starter was delicious. So impressed that we're going back next weekend.

Absolute shambles this place, staff didn’t have a clue what they was doing or what was happening. Secondly it was advertised as 50% off on opening day in this renovated fancy restaurant with a top chef from around the world. We was told to go sit in a banquet hall that looked like they just threw some rags on some tables, or in their words ‘ just go find a table spare’. And then sit there like children for 40 minutes to open a cheap tacky buffet with about 5 dishes which were all bland food. Meanwhile to go in the actual restaurant part which was advertised they said we couldn’t lol. Glad we didn’t though as even 50% off the menu they was still charging £15 for a curry to start with. Also no chappatis or naan, so if you want a curry you can have it with chips instead. Also the drinks were just large bottles which were passed round from table to table, talk about spreading germs. They also have a large bar, but with no alcohol on sale ! Probably had to remove it incase it offended all the migrants they have housed the past 2 years. You’re better off at your local takeaway than eating here. Awful place.

Absolutely disgusting! I attended the open event on Friday the 3rd of March. After hearing much hype about the new chef, who has worked around the world, I decided to attend the Grand opening. The customer services from Rachael and Kat was fantastic. However I was really looking forward to trying good food, unfortunately it was a massive disappointment, the buffet system served biryani that had an odd smell and taste,frozen chicken strips, frozen desserts (notfully thawed) a ball of hard mince (kebab), almost chipped my tooth, some unflavoured chicken,mince and bland pasta. The steak was only for the invited influencers, who also paid the same entrance fee as me, I don't know if it was good or not because I wasn't important enough to try it. There really was alot of hype for no reason, however I only paid £10 entrance fee and therefore it wasn't a big loss, although it could have been better spent at my local takeaway. Very very disappointed.

Only giving it 3 stars for 2 reasons: benefit of the doubt as it was opening night and the manager Adam. We got there (6 of us) and it was busy, particularly the buffet area. We wanted the main menu, so we were guided to our table, and then it was like we were forgotten about. We were sat for 30 minutes before we had to find a waitress and give her our order. Then it was a further 30 minutes for half of the starters to come out, with our drinks, we then gave it 10 minutes and asked for the other half of the starters which were seemingly forgotten about. Then took another 20 for those to come. 2 mains came quickly after that. Then 40 minutes no sign of the others so we had to chase down our other mains which they had also seemingly forgotten about, 3 of which came within 15 minutes, the other an additional 15. We also never got asked if we wanted any drink refills or checked up on at all until when we complained to Adam, the manager. Adam was brilliant, after we complained after the significant wait for the main, he couldn’t be more helpful, got us everything we needed and took care of us, and was also very apologetic. The initial waitress I believe we saw twice; that was when we gave her our order and then the second when we were chasing the food up. So, overall, incredibly slow service (there for 3 hours for just starters and mains, desserts we received from Adam we took home), and average food (but granting it was opening night, it might have just been busy etc. so benefit of the doubt) and Adam the manager was great at the end of the meal/evening.

7 of us came for the grand opening very dissatisfied and disappointed, the food was of poor quality and the menu was a joke. Will not be coming back

Food was okay but it took a long time to come out, this might be due to it being opening night Steak was slightly over done but the burgers looked good The highlight of the show was a manager called Adam, who was very friendly and accomodating

The food is fantastic. It is very rare that the owner would come over and help you choose. I had not eaten many curry’s. I highly recommend.

Terrible experience, me and my friends got cat fish by tiktok. It took them 2 hours to bring us our main course and the biryani tasted like curry rice :o! Save your money and dont bother going there

Really bad. The poppadoms were soft not crispy but the owner said they were fresh but as someone who knows many people who work at restaurant that was definitely not fresh, waiter took our drink orders only to come back 20 minutes later to say they don’t have the drinks that we wanted they should have told us this beforehand the food wasn’t nice but the only thing that was good was their curries that was it nothing else was nice. Waited around 2 hours for the food and one of the workers looked high definitely won’t be returning and i don’t recommend this.

Went for a family birthday meal and the food was amazing. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Inside is beautifully decorated. Will definitely be returning.

I was recommended by this place on tiktok and from outside it is a beautiful place. However, the service was absolutely terrible. I have never written a google review but I had to. When we first came, there was a party, a wedding and there is also a hotel. It was so confusing where the restaurant actually was. The service was so unbelievably slow. Cutlery was not placed with the food, I had to ask for it. Waste of money.

The starters weren't nice at all. Very chewy and hard (that put me off) wasnt a great start to my meal. The curry itself was just OK. Disappointed as 1st time customer, not going back for defo.

The pickle tray was the only food that was better than OK but service terrible. Let you order Cobra then tell you it's off, wrong drinks, forgotten drinks, missing food, wrong food, food delayed so long rest of party had finished before it had arrived. You name it we experienced it all in one meal, real shame

Went to the opening day recently and the food was excellent. Great choice of Asian and Italian. Ash who owns the restaurant has a vast amount of experience in the food industry over many years, hence the quality of the food. Highly recommended.
