We visited from Norwich today for the first time. What a lovely place. Everyone was very friendly, the food was really delicious and the environment is so comfortable. Will certainly add it to our list of favourites. Do make the trip you will love it.

We had lunch in October on a sunny day with turned out to be a blessing as we sat outside. Having visited without booking we soon had a table made for us outside in no time and ordered our food and drinks. Coronation chicken sandwich with coleslaw salad and crisps very generous portions and homemade filling delicious. Cake, nan's fruit cake and Victoria sponge we could not believe the portion we had but so tasty, with lovely latte coffee we left full but satisfied. Would recommend booking but there seems to be lots of seating options. Lovely people serving very attractive and polite. Definitely coming back.

One of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. The selection was superb; sausage rolls, cheese straws, sandwiches, mini quiches, cakes galore. Delicate, light fluffy cakes with layers of flavour set in the backdrop of a beautiful little village with a pleasant walk and quaint little church to visit. The staff are all very friendly and Cindy was brilliant with us. Would strongly recommend.

We came to visit the village for the fayre/brocante today, 04.08.24 as we was in the area on a break for a few days . We popped into the tea rooms and the cakes looked truly divine, and the only reason we declined on this occasion, was we had only had a full English only an hour or so earlier . Coffee was lovely and the whole atmosphere was buzzing with people visiting for the same reason. Nothing was to much trouble, even when so busy . We spoke with one of the ladies serving us , and we explained we was out looking for new places around the area to explore , she suggested a few locally to try . Thank you . Mannington Hall , was fabulous, and for us a bonus, as it was also a Historic House, so free . Perfect day discovering new gems. We will definitely visit again.

My husband and I had some lunch at the tea room on Saturday and what a wonderful lunch it was. I had a bagel with pesto, mozzarella and tomato which was served with some crisps and the most amazing salad. Which was so fresh and colourful. My husband had the Rarebit which again came with a side salad. I finished off with a slice of lemon cake which has to be the lightest sponge I think I’ve ever eaten. It was delicious. My husband had one of their amazing cheese scones. This is such an incredible tea room where you can taste the quality of the ingredients along with the love that they put into making each dish.

I visited with 3 of my friends for a afternoon tea. We had heard it was so good and I have to agree. We had a temperature check on arrival and shown to our seats. The tea rooms were very quaint and cosy. We choose what scone we would like to accompany it and asked what tea we wanted. We all opted for a coffee! I had requested no butter on my sandwiches and my friend wanted soya milk. Both were attended to with ease. The cake stands were traditional and full of gorgeous food. Four different sorts of perfectly cut sandwiches : egg, cheese, beef and tuna. Very fresh indeed. We had fruit scones with jam and clotted cream. Honestly, so tasty, best for a long time. We next ate the caramel flavour pot. It had a biscuit base. I asked how it was made as truly delicious. There were also four different mini cakes which may vary each day. All were so good. I took 2 home as so full. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The whole place including the toilets were spotlessly clean. Hand sanitiser was available too. No need to worry here. We really enjoyed our afternoon. So relaxing and wonderful food. Thank you so much, we will definitely return again.

Three of us had been walking the Norfolk Coastal path and were ready for afternoon tea, Heydon Tea Rooms style. One of us had a peanut allergy and was treated to her own cake stand. After choosing our type of tea and making our selection of scones (from the list of fruit, cheese, fig and apricot, lavender and plain) our table was soon packed with tea pots and cake stands loaded with four different finger sandwiches (cheese, egg mayonnaise, ham and mustard and tuna with cucumber), scones, cream and jam and a variety of individual cakes and caramel pots. It was all superb and we did it justice, just asking for the smallest doggy bag to take that which we could not eat.It was all magnificent, served with the best of humour and attention to detail, refilling tea pots as and when needed. This is a true English tea shop, decorated tastefully and appropriately.Attention to detail started with checking our temperature before entry and optimising the small rooms with socially distanced tables.

Recommended this tearoom by the owner of the B & B we were staying in near Holt. We both ordered afternoon tea which was unbelievably good. Beautifully made sandwiches, a choice of 5 types of scones and a fantastic choice of miniature cakes. We visited on their second day of opening after lockdown and we felt incredibly safe. The owners Carl and Cindy took temperatures on arrival, hand sanitisation of hands at the entrance and tables that were socially distanced. The waiting staff were also excellent and as well as enjoying the food we both felt entirely safe and comfortable.Well done!!!

This brilliant tea shop has been offering a take away service, as well delivery, during lockdown. We have ordered a number of their cakes and they have all been totally delicious. On Saturday morning we picked up one of their Pistachio cakes to celebrate a birthday. We were still talking about it long after it had been eaten. Friendly service, beautiful location, lovely food, well worth a visit when places begin to open up again. Thanks a lot. This cake made the birthday party seem a bit more special.

This is my second Heydon Village Tea Shop review but this one is a little different as they gave us the perfect afternoon...but in our own home. Many establishments are closed at the moment and we have isolated for six weeks. Husband knows how much I like the tearooms so arranged for an afternoon tea to be delivered. They were delivered on Saturday and they were absolutely perfect. The sandwiches were so fresh and full of delicious fillings. There was a sausage roll, a cheese scone and a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. The ‘top layer’ was a delight and included Cindy’s Nan’s fruit cake - we’ve never tasted better. The presentation was extremely thoughtful - goodness knows how Cindy managed them all (a lot were going out!) as they were so intricate and delicate (and above all, absolutely delicious!)Thank you for such a lovely treat during these times. We look forward to seeing you again when we can.

I persuaded my husband, who isn't really into Tea Rooms! to take me here and we both loved it. Amazing food. cakes, and service. The best iced coffee in Norfolk, can't wait to return

We stumbled on Heydon Village Tea Shop recently whilst exploring the area. What a find. The village is a small, estate owned village. It seems to be cut-off from the rest of the world and is to be found at the end of what can only be described as a cul de sac! It's both quaint and as pretty as a picture. The church is magnificent. The tea shop was, long ago, the village store and the age-old shelves, drawers and cupboards are still extant, as is the lovely - and wibbly - pamment floor.Lunch was absolutely delicious, imaginative and properly homemade. The coffee was tasty (and not from one of those service station machines which seem all too popular these days). The tea was plentiful and with a jug of hot water for top-ups. Both the greeting and service was genuine as were the requests to check everything was ok. We will be back and it looks like this place is on peoples itineraries - where's the surprise? I'd reserve a table if you are likely to visit during busy service times.Really lovely.
