As part of our day at Coombe Abbey meeting up with my twin brother and his wife we decided to have a coffee. The cafe was very covoid safe and the coffee was good-in paper cups which we drank outside.

Very impressive eatery for breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. Great people, service and wide choice of food and drinks. Fast service and great value. Recommend.

Very busy in the Abbey today as it was a glorious day, a Sunday and half term, so why was there only one person serving in the cafe? I waited 25 minutes to pay for drinks from the fridge for our grandchildren. The fridges were virtuality empty with very little choice. I felt sorry for the young lady who just got on with it and appeared to have several roles. Many times other members of staff appeared but seemed oblivious to the length of the line of people waiting or noticed how many walked out.

We were very hungry after our walk and also were late for dinner. We went to the cafe only wanting something quick. The menu seemed decent. We chose cheese on toast and beans on toast for the kids, I had cheesy chips and my friend had a panini. We sat down to wait. The lady at the til told us it would be 15 minutes. It was much quicker which was pleasing. We realised the door was open near our table. We asked a young girl working there if we could shut it. She said we couldn't it was company policy. It was so cold. We moved tables. We had been avoiding other tables because they were dirty and so was the floor but I'd rather that than be cold and have to eat with my coat on. I guess it explains why that table we had sat on was the only clean area. At the new table a girl walked past us with a tray, gave us a glance and carried on walking. As she left I saw it looked like our food. I tried to get her attention but she took the food back to the hatch. I had seen previously that they call numbers but she hadn't called any numbers walking round, not near us anyway. As she bought my friends panini out I asked her if it was our food. She apologised and bought it over. Disappointed isn't the word. Oven crinkle cut chips I could have got from any cheap supermarket with a bit of grated melted cheese on top. My daughter's cheese on toast looked like a seven year old made it with sprinkled, grated and melted cheese partly on the toast, the beans on toast looked ok, although my daughter didn't eat much I'm not sure why. I didn't want to taste it. The cheese on toast and beans on toast were £2.85 each and the chips were £2.50. I think if it had been cheaper I wouldn't have been so cross about it. The total came to £15 with that, two cakes, a packet of crisps and three drinks. We love a good cafe and this was not good at all!

Very family oriented and handy for park toilets. 'Canteen' like feel. Wasn't expecting much from this venue and they delivered exactly that. Table sticky, panini bland barely warm and not served with side salad as per menu. Didn't bother complaining won't be going again.

Herons table is a nice place to stop for a rest and brew after a lot of walking. Good Points: The staff where friendly and helpful Plenty of seating inside Coffee and hot chocolate was reasonably priced and tasted nice Café was warm and had a nice atmosphere Bad Points: Staff looked a bit bored as there was not many visitors in during that time.

This is a very limited park cafe but that said the drinks were freshly made and the snacks reasonably priced for a captive audience. If you go just expecting a drink and quick bite you should be ok but don't expect an extensive range or anything exotic.

This cafe is located in the Visitor Information building in Coombe Park. We decided to have a snack lunch after visiting the park during the morning. It offers a self-service good range of sandwiches, pastries, other snacks and hot/cold drinks. A very limited range of hot snacks was available on the day that we visited. The prices represented reasonable value. The café has large windows and some outdoor seating. It is a convenient facility for a snack whilst visiting the park.

Pizza was wetter than a nun at a chippendales concert. Seriously gross and dripping in grease, box was soaked though. Literally a pepperoni and cheese pizza which is easiest pizza in world, base though seemed uncooked. Never ordering again

Called in here while looking around Rugby for a meal and was not impressed. The food was not very appetising and the service was mediocre. The food was also overpriced for the quality. The place itself needs a makeover. Not considered value for money.
