We have been visiting Hennessys for 15 years. Best cafe in Bristol. Offers a wide range of plant based alternatives. The most friendliest cafe you'll find in the UK.

This café is definitely the best, friendliest and cosiest café I have been to in Bristol. The café is filled with niche artwork and bits and bobs. The interior is really beautiful and unique! A lovely man runs it and he is so friendly and makes you feel immediately at home. I came here on the day of a painful breakup and this café made me feel so much better. The coffee is high quality and cheap! I love it here :) xx

What a place to visit! Mike invites everyone into his uniquely wonderful coffee shop and immediately you feel at home, welcomed and part of an extended family. The food is fresh and so reasonable and the mocha is the very best ever tasted. We travel from the Midlands to visit Bristol, and a visit to Hennesseys is compulsory! We look forward to seeing you soon.

I love this colourful, inviting and visually stimulating cafe. There is nowhere else quite like it. Mike, the owner makes literally the best hot chocolate. It is worth visiting just for that. However the coffee, cakes, sandwiches, conversation, ambience and clientele are all great too. Make it your regular and you'll feel like you are part of a real community.

Where else can you get a cappuccino served like this for an affordable price?, next time I'm in I'll upload a pic of what you receive when you ask for "some toast"! This place is full of character and the owner *Mike" makes you feel right at home, it is NOT unusual for everybody present to join in the daily debates that arise from your visit or there are plenty of books and games to keep your mind occupied if you just wanna hang out and chill 😃highly recommended, no messing , go there 👍

What a lovely little coffee shop. Quirky and quaint and totally what i needed on a thursday morning. The coffee shop was so much more that it looks like. The owner was a delight and so welcoming. He made the best mocha i’ve ever had when there were so many options. Local man who has been serving coffee for 14 years. There are games to play and books you can take away with you. Some delicious cakes and an assortment of sauces. You can’t help but smile when your sat having ur coffee watching the world go by! Highly recommend.

It's the local coffee shop everyone deserves. It's an ambient heaven, that shares as much comfort as a 1920's back alley jazz lounge, but in Bedminster. It's clear Hennessey's is not built on the same model as contemporary coffee shops. It's personal, relaxing, an absolute time capsule of Bristol art culture and has a more attentive customer service with a singular staff member than the majority of places Ive been. hidden gem.

This is one of Bristol's little hidden gems; tucked away at the far end of North Street (towards Asda and away from the Tobacco factory) Michael your barista will make a cup of magic for you, while you soak up the atmosphere of this special place. He is a magician, always remembers your name and what you drink but then he has lots of regulars - they are part of his family now. You can get excellent drinks, some interesting rolls and special cakes. You have to visit the loo, even if you don't need to go, it's worth washing your hands in there! Marvellous hospitality awaits at this venue.

Nice ambient cafe with decent coffee. However, the cake needs looking at as it appeared to have just come from the local shop.

Whatever is going on in your life at Hennesseys you will fit in like part of the furniture and enjoy the escape from the outside world....with a few laughs along the way! The only little gem of a coffee shop I rate 5 all round!,
