Hei Hei Chinese in Denbighshire

The food we ordered was the worst ever compared to how it would always of arrived a few years ago. It was stone cold and the chicken was all hard, stuck together and extremely hard to cut through. Got told delivery would’ve been 45 minutes from when we ordered and it took them over an hour and a half to deliver also I don’t recommend using this restaurant ever and won’t be buying from them at all after having to order another takeaway due to this.

Ordered food for 7.10pm delivery arrived on the boot. Asked with special instructions on the Web for extra hot beef curry it was wow. Starter amazing service amazing never been let down by hei hei always great food thank you.

They were really quick to send our order the staff are lovely and polite people 10/10 would try again

Chips were very bitty and not fresh about a quarter went in the bin. Get 3 stars for flying in the face of the control freaks and only accepting cash. Would I return ,probably not.

The staff here are nice but the food is terrible, the sweet and sour pork is just gristle I’ve been unable to finish it and the egg fried rice tastes like it’s from yesterday - it’s a shame as it used to be my favourite takeaway and now I’m going to have to stop coming: such a waste of money

Ordered from here and took almost 2 hours for my delivery, called them they said traffic was bad due to the Rhyl air show, understandable the traffic would be bad but not almost 2 hours. Food arrived cold, soggy chips and spring rolls, rice cold. Called to ask for a refund was refused point blank, told me I can go and look at her cctv to show it was freshly hot cooked, if course it would be hot when it left but wasn't by the time it arrived, I asked for a partial refund this was also refused point blank also. Unacceptable to wait this amount if time or cold food that was wasted. Offerd me 10% off my next order (joke) I won't be ordering again . The lack of customer service is appalling.

I usually always have a good meal from there however tonight I was very unhappy, the house special fried rice was awful and I rang to tell them that it did not look nice at all too which they suggested I don't order it again, it was awful I threw it all away, also the other items I had were not much better which is a shame because it used to be nice!

The staff were lovely and friendly. We ordered salt & pepper chicken, fried rice, chicken satay and chips. We really enjoyed our meal. Lots of salt and pepper chicken. Could do with a little more chicken in the satay. But overall lovely. Will order again.

Ordered a beef curry when it arrived I opened it and noticed it looked bright red, I dipped a chip and it tasted like tomato soup. I phoned the shop and they said “that’s how there curry comes” I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, by far the worst meal I’ve ever had from a Chinese. Absolutely disgusting! Also chips where dry and hard. Total waste of money!

Can honestly say I'll never eat here again. Ordered a chicken Curry last night (30th sept 22). As soon as I had eaten it I knew something wasn't right. Felt really bloated and sick. 3 hours later i was throwing up in a bad way. Managed to sleep before waking up and throwing up again. Avoid at all costs! Uncooked food is extremely dangerous.

Looks clean, customer friendly ordered food tonight 6pm 1/2 mile and two minutes drive home rice was cold chips like they were cooked dinner time shredded chicken was like rubber phoned back was told no refund as they had left the premises, DONOT USE THESE PEOPLE WE SHALL NOT.

Had a takeaway and was delivered cold. I phoned up to complain but the lady was a disgrace to even serve food to anyone as her attitude stank. I tried to eat the food but it was like an animals blood clot was in the food I was trying to eat. Stay clear as I thought in all my years of enjoying food, I haven’t seen a big piece of blood, uncooked meat, blood clot piece of meat ever! Stay away!!!!! Food is none but I had to tick a one.

We have ordered from here many times in the past, usually the food is o.k. Tonight we received our order, to find half of it missing. We understand that sometimes mistakes happen. We rang them to get the rest of our food. The owner then told us we had received everything and we are lying, then she said that the part that was missing is free so tough and slammed the phone down. Do not use if you expect to be satisfied with the service. Absolutely useless.

Phone order quickly and efficiently taken, courteous service. Told food would be delivered to our home within 45 minutes..... and it was. Order exactly as requested and piping hot. Delivery person took all Covid precautions and was bright and cheerful. All in all a splendid service, highly recommended.

Just received my delivery plated it up looked like it was all reheated and was cold.Rang up to see if they would replace as it was inedible the lady said everything was fresh and refused to replace.Eveything went in bin had to reorder from another Chinese do not eat here

Food is ok , but left out chicken balls and only realised when I got home, so I payed a fiver for nothing. So remember to check your order before you leave the shop .

made a telephone order the lady was really rude when it arrived the crispy chicken was not good and the thick gravy was to sweet kids couldnt eat it.

Had sweet and sour chicken. Chicken was battered but batter was doughy and undercooked. Family of 6 all had different things and for the first time, no one ate it. Plates were all still full.

We only eat Chinese from Hei Hei, we've waited since lockdown for them to reopen and tonight was our lucky night, the food arrived quickly and was as delicious as usual, it was definitely worth the wait, we weren't disappointed, thank you for a lovely meal xx

Can’t fault the food, hot, fresh and best in the area, lots of the negative reviews are about customer service, which I’ve never had to experience as I always order via this app and have never had to call the restaurant to complain about food quality, missing items or delay. The delivery charge is a bit steep tho, and it closes very early for a Chinese.

Im pregnant and have to be cerful with what i eat and my pie was still frozen, chips was cold, my dads pie was cold, my step mums prown toast was cold. We was left waiting for the delivery. We havent been able to eat all the food after paying over £20. Disapointed is a understatment. Having cold food is dangarous and can give people food poisening.

Very disappointed with our meal tonight it came 20 mins late, all meals were cold had to reheat 2 of them my step daughter is 6 months pregnant and her meat and potato pie was frozen so she was put off her food put off

The food was lovely as always, but the shredded chicken was really dry and bland, no flavour. Apart from that everything else was lovely

We ordered a banquet and the duck was so small we got only 3 pancakes out of it. The chips were over cooked. The meals were tasteless the only thing that was nice was the fried rice, I won’t be returning to this Chinese.

Salt and pepper shredded beef had no beef whatsoever, total waste of £5, chicken fried rice had hardly any chicken, and salt and pepper chicken hardly any pieces at all, very disappointing, won't be ordering from here again!

This was the worse Chinese I have ever been too. The food was congealed over, the prawns were so small you couldn’t see them, and the meat was grey. It was inedible! We packed up the food and returned it to the restaurant who refuses to give us any type of refund or apology. We were a family who were away on holiday and ended up paying £40 for this and then having to go elsewhere. If I had to sum up this Takeaway I would say disgusting, inedible, and rude! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want food poisoning and rude staff!

Probably the best Chinese in Rhyl, food is always good and usally not a long wait, only downside is they close so early.

Absolutely love this chippy, you will not find a better 1 anywhere, the sauces are simply delicious, just go on random days out to Rhyl just so we can go Hei Hei on the way home for chips, prawn crackers and tubs of gravy, curry & sweet n sour sauces, there other dishes are just sublime. 5 stars all day.

Food here is hit or miss very very grease today took the food back and asked to replace and they refused . I hadn't even opened it but the grease had poured through the rapping .

Chow mains too salty. King prawn chow main- only 6 prawns. Mixed meat chow main - very very small pieces of unidentified meat. Egg noodles too soft. Would definitely not recommend.

Bought a Chinese meal for the family had 3 chicken and sweet corn soups we couldn't eat them as they were very sweet I think the chef put sugar instead of salt. I phoned up to complain the chef said I will check and hang up on me no sorry or anything. Worst customer service ever I will never use this takeaway again.

We've been using the hei hei for a while. It really is the best. The lady who answers the phone is a star, really helpful and the food is fabulous. The best black bean I've ever had. Can't fault anything we've ever had.

Just had the worst Chinese ever the curry was disgusting and they can not even get the chips right ! Burnt Spring rolls and even the prawn crackers were burnt don't go you have been warned .

I ordered in Hei Hei Chinese for the first time. I ordered Crispy Wonton Sui Mai and I am surprised that it’s just like a crispy wrapper nothing inside I am shocked.. I rather fry my own wrapper 😡 The taste of gravy is awful as well, chips is soggy! Everything is not goood at all. Not ordeing from here again..

Order waz small for the price also the chicken ball wasn't cooked properly and chicken had a strange taste an texture. Curry sauce was too sweet no spice to it also asked for a can of coke to be charged £1 for a multi pack can. Chips where full of little bits not what u want or expect for the money I will be AVOIDING the place and RECOMMEND to try sum where else

This is yhe worst meal I have rver had. It arrived cold. The oil they cooked in was obviously diry food tasted dusgustung. Yhe chicken balls where coated in about an inch of batter which wasnt cooked. The meals wasnt even edible. Will neve4 return or recommend. Only one place for this meal...the bin

Personally, I think the company should first hire a new employee to speak on the phone as the way we were spoken to while trying to make an order was disgusting! We had our order declined twice, and while trying to explain to the woman on the phone we were just around the corner she began raising her voice and becoming very rude towards us so we just said it didn’t matter, would not even close to recommend when a employee is so disrespectful.

Was spoken to like dirt!! Food was absolutely crap!!! Quality was poor!! The lady on the phone was so rude!! Duck which I paid £8 for and it was burnt to a crisp! Chips were reheated!! I politely asked for fresh chips and duck to be sent but was told that I should go to a restaurant!!! Your attitude stinks and how you run a business I don’t know!!!!

Well to all of you Chinese food lovers out there, called in Monday night, wow,, the lady behind the counter looked so unimpressed, ordered number 155 (triple crown) to be fair, the 2 prawns were nice as was the meat, what let it down was the fact that I think they were due to close and my food arrived in about 4 minutes, and the sauce had a consistency of boiled water full of bamboo shoots and carrots, I kid you not, water. I also ordered egg fried rice,,,,,, paid extra,,,,, columbo could not have found any egg, just plain rice , also ordered number 1, dim sum combination,,,,,,, and what a combination it was,, a deep fried greasy mess, the bread on the prawn toast was like a door stop with a millimeter of prawn on top, never been here before and I won't hurry back, please people, spend your hard earned money in an establishment that appreciates your business, if it's good I say so, if it's not, I also say so

Ordered via just eat it arrived cold and partially raw refused to collect so my partner took it back they refused refund took the food and when my partner argued the delivery driver threatened to knock him out. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
