Happy House Takeaway in Denbighshire

bought chicken chow main, meal came completely bare, just noodles with no sauce, no vegetables, chicken cooked but with no sauce. Also ordered salt and pepper chicken, this also came with no seasoning, no salt or pepper added. Avoid the food at this place, my wife also not happy with her order. Feel robbed at £33 for no sauce or veg.

Terrible, ordered fried rice and beef curry, rice was so over boiled it was like rice pudding and beef was really tough not edible,best place was the bin.to be fair chips were nice as was banana fritter,but complete waste of money.

I wanted to know if they did stir fry mixed vegetables that was suitable for a vegetarian. When i asked the man on the counter he had absolutely no English( or Welsh) and after repeating myself three times all he did was grunt .How can anyone possibly order anything from him safely.Very disappointing.

The new girl is 10x better then the old staff she should be given a raise

Food was nice with good portions. However, there was a very long wait. Ordered on the phone where they said it would be half an hour. Got to Chinese half an hour later to have to wait another 35 minutes.

Love the food from here. The ribs and Salt and Pepper foods are particularly good!

The food is lovely, but it's always late when you go to pick it up. There is a pub next door (the feathers) so you can grab a drink whilst waiting if you're not driving, but it's always worth ordering ahead and if you are ordering for a group - make sure you give yourself some buffer time to avoid frustration. The takeaway is pretty clean and the selection is good. The delays don't stop is going - it's my favourite Chinese in Ruthin but you have to be ok with the wait. They don't do delivery or card payments so make sure you have cash. There's a cash machine on the square on the top of town so you can walk up and get cash out whilst you're waiting if you get caught short.

Waited an hour for the food.. Got back home and the salt n pepper chips was missing off the order. My special curry was very salty but my daughters duck was OK.. Wouldn't recommend to a friend...

Absolutely amazing food, the service is a bit tricky as the owner doesn't speak great English and no Welsh however totally worth the hassle all food is cooked fresh to order and tastes beautifull I live above it and can't stop eating there food, seriously can't fault it We also have a healthy Chinese population locally so I think it boosts the foods cultural values hence the greqt tast!

We go here once a week for our usual Sweet & Sour Chicken balls, fried rice and a potion of chips. Staff always friendly, quick service and a decent price so tonight when we got our mean home to discover the size of one of the chicken balls I felt cheated. Usually 9 balls per meal - please explain how you can call this a portion 🤷‍♀️

Food was quick and you can go for a pint next door whilst you wait. The only warning is that is it cash only Portion size and quality both good

Phoned up asking what time do they close at and they kept replying with your order yeah, I then was hung up on so I phone back and asked what time they closed and he started to shout at me saying order order order very rude staff should not answer phone if he can’t understand the public

Remember it opening in 1980.Visited regulary since.Always good Spesial fried rice was my favorite,realy good,How ever when the owners changed,there was a strong taste of what i thought was pepper on it which I do'nt like.After inquiring ,it was not pepper only the way the cooked,and itwas never the same again ! Pity and annoying,! Have tried duck fried rice,the duck was a bit tought,and most of it was F R ,which made the eating heavy going ! My last perchase was a mushroom omelette,not lighly done very heavy and tasteless chips was nothing spesical.Some thing are of course better than others,just deepends what we like.Perhaps I try something else next time

Food was good but the service was very poor. Food took so long to be made. Waited an hour outside the shop after placing an order, with other people who had been there just as long.

Tasty food, nice staffs, almost visit every weekend for family. The curry sauce is great and kids love it so much!

OMG! This place is The Deal! Best Chinese place in town, great service! great food, great place. Their food is really amazing, definitely our go-to place when we want a delicious take out! Hats off to Chef Lin and Chen!👌🏻👌🏻🇨🇳

I cannot say much as I only ever have Sweet n Sour Chicken - this has always been very nice and a MASSIVE portion - maybe they have different people cooking on different days? I dont know

Had a takeaway for two. The pork balls in sweet and sour sauce was very good (as usual). The vegetable chilly was a surprise as it was not hot until a chilly was found lurking - the result was a minor explosion in the mouth - about 6 on the Richter scale, following by a lot of gasping and coughing and demands for water. A pity as the two meals plus a large boiled rice between two was only £11.20. The moral is - avoid the chilly dishes and you will be fine.

Teníamos uno de los peores a domicilio nunca desde casa. Feliz Mi comida estaba prácticamente incomible - Gambas Curry, ¿cómo puede nadie que tan mal! Todo estaba cubierto por una terrible sustancia sobras congeladas - luchando para averiguar qué es exactamente lo que era.

Salt and pepper chips very disappointing more like chilli chips, small portion and way to over done with chilli flakes me and my partner couldn't finish our meal. Salt and pepper ribs disappointing didn't taste like salt and pepper. And the Singapore Chou main I ordered wasn't nice at all had a very strange taste. After hearing good things about happy house we were very disappointed by the meal and couldn't eat it. We will not be returning here again.

Recogieron un para llevar a la familia, y yo estaba muy satisfecho con el servicio, la amabilidad del personal, y la comida era bastante buena.

Food was below average for a takeaway, my foo young was over done. Generally lacking in flavour. Disappointing though the lady who served us was helpful.

Service is very welcoming and the lady at the counter, whom has been there for years, is very friendly.. Food is extremely bland and reheated. Never freshly cooked. Onions are more or less raw and seem to replace meat!! Hence quick waiting time. Which is I suppose why we still use. It's edible to a degree.. if your starving and by now, we know what to expect.

We called for a takeaway after finding that our usual Thursday curry night pub was not open for food. Our meal was bland and portions small. Our first and last visit to this takeaway.

the food there was nice and we enjoyed it. it was the best one around it has a good the only bad thing is it open short hours

delivery driver made racist comments about our british people and their dogs then tried to drive away with our meal and money, police were called and money returned, hes lucky I declined to press charges, wont use ever again

This Chinese take away offers a good menu, and the food is the same everytime, so you are guaranteed a good meal, the problem is that you get the same meal consistently, and if like me you tend to order the same meal each time, it gets a bit boring, and it is cooked with the english pallet in mind, therefore, a bit bland.
