Local boozer, not busy unless it's quiz night. Decent prices, not much atmosphere. Does have a jukebox

Popped in on a Sunday evening and spent my time there singing karaoke. Was great fun and very friendly

Great beer from the Otter brewery. Good music when we were in there but we were asked by the locals if we had any preferences what was played. Some brilliant characters in there. Will be going again next time we are in Bideford.

Great pub, wrong staff. Ordered a becks however it didn't taste right, ask to change my drink or ask for an alternative which I didn't mind paying for. The bartender then tried to embarrass me in front off locals on how a beer should taste. The bartender was also arguing with every local, threatening to kick everyone out. Lovely place but definitely need to kick him out

Claims to do tea & coffee but when you go in there is no tea. When you order drinks they then tell you “we only have 4 mugs, we are a pub”. Don’t waste your time, the cool beans cafe round the corner is much better

Clean with friendly staff and good ales. No food despite large signage outside stating food all day. Kitchen closed following covid not reopened.

We popped in for, a coffee and a double house brandy. Good value, friendly staff. 👍

Staff were very nice and welcoming. We went on a Sunday so they had Karoke up which was fun and the guy running it was very nice, even if you can't sing. Drinks are a bit overpriced but are nice.

Made to feel really welcome by the lovely landlady. This pub fails to state its name very clearly outside so look for the little red building. Lots of fun to be had inside😁

If you don’t have the NHS app., forget it. We walked in and a staff member approached us to say that someone was already at the table we were about to sit at. Fair enough. He then said we had to sign in using the the app. When I said we didn’t have it, he snapped “why not?”, shrugged and walked off. Given the rudeness of the staff, I wouldn’t recommend this place even if you have the app.

We went in as a party of 3 today and ordered 3 chicken dinners at 12.20 but were told that it would not be ready until 13.00 because the oven was on a ‘go slow’. The board outside said that Sunday lunches were available from 12.00 onwards. We were also asked if we would like sauces and we said no. We sat and waited at one end of the pub with our drinks; our Sunday roasts arrived at 13.20 with the barmaid making her apologies about how long they had taken to cook. When the meal arrived everything was covered in cheese sauce and mint sauce, and there was a Yorkshire pudding. Yorkshire puddings are traditionally eaten with beef, not chicken and I have never eaten chicken with mint sauce before in my life! There was also hardly any chicken, as we each only had half a small chicken breast each. Furthermore, throughout our time in the pub, we had to sit and listen to half a dozen local bar flies, who seemed to be saying ‘f**king’ for every other word and shouting continually. The cook also walked through the pub at the end of the meal and he looked like he needed a wash! We were not impressed and would never go in again.

Atmosphere is saving this from a 1* No card machine atall and a lemonade cost me £3.20, Dart board was decent but overall very expensive and outdated

Went on a Friday.Darts match or something have it a lively atmosphere. Big screen with Football on but only me watching it. Nice to see a different ale on from outside the area

Bar staff have a really bad attitude and terrible body odour, if your not liked the look of you will be asked to leave. The beer tastes rotten. The pub is filthy (so are the staff) definitely would avoid!!!!

Looks good on the outside - the woman at the bar has a serious attitude problem. After I came out of the loo she seemed really interested in whether I had, had a s**t or a p**s (shouting it across the bar). It was a bit strange after that so we are not returning.

Wouldn't recommend this pub. Extremely rude staff and a very dirty place.
