Had two takeaway's now from Everest, both really tasty, one of the best we've had.

I've seen various reviews for Everest and not all have been good. From my experience (tonight) on a takeaway for two meals ours were excellent. The chicken in the curry sauce (garlic chilli chicken) was in large pieces and cooked to perfection. The butter chicken meal was also excellent. Overall a delicious meal. My only negative is perhaps the estimate given from order to collection time. Customers just want a real time to collect, not another 30 mins waiting! I had to force myself to go across the road for a pint to use up the time.

Very tasty takeaway and unique menu compared to my experience of most Indian takeaways. Food was delicious and well portioned.

Used this restaurant so many times and they’ve been excellent. However, tonight my wife collected our order and upon return found a curry missing. Good on the staff as they delivered the missing food only to realise they’d missed a side dish, too. It was too late at that point to call back again and further complain. Sorry all at Everest but won’t be using nor recommending again.

Awful. Paid £26 for a takeaway on 6th July, the website said they were open and serving. Turned up to collect they said they weren't open and wouldn't give us a refund. Give us multiple websites to contact as they 'didnt run their own website'. It's 3 months later and I don't have the money back so a case is being opened with the bank. They are scamming people and should be shut down.

Was very disappointed Had a meal here the other day it was by far the worst Indian meal I have ever had I wish I took a photo of it to show you, The first thing I noticed as soon as I got to the car was the unusual smell coming from it have never smelt a meal like it was not a nice smell got it home and it stunk the house out for two days now onto the meal itself the starter which I had was a kebab starter it was quite salty and very spicy not the worst I have had but then I got to the curry chicken jalfrezi pilau rice and garlic nan. The curry was swimming in oil and I mean a very large amount of oil no flavour to the curry at all the nan was very very greasy pilau rice was stuck together and very dry i ended up having to throw the meal away Also the chef was English NOT Indian probably explains the meal, Also overpriced meals in my opinion compared to other Indian takeaways to sum up I will never use this takeaway again until it changes hands again as I can not see it lasting long with meals like it served to me I hope this review helps you And no I am not an ex employee This is a genuine review.

Not long to wait if you ring and order and the food is totally delicious. Very courteous service . Would advise taking cash because their WiFi signal for card payment is spasmodic which is no fault of theirs. Give your taste buds a treat.

Review for Everest. Food was tasty and felt fresh and healthy. Good flavour and quality. Portions were smaller than expected for the price, compared to other local outlets but still filled us up. Quick and accurate service. The only improvement would be: the menu lacks vegetarian options - I have been told they are happy to swap meat for paneer or vegetables which is great - but it's not clear and it would be nice to see some vegetarian options taking pride of place. We will be back.

The food was alright, not terrible, not great. Could do with a little less oil in the dishes.

New addition to the town which is greatly received, we have had a few takeaways already, all our dishes have been superb and we would definitely vote it best in the west. Thanks for coming to Torrington Surma, we very much appreciate it as you have completed the missing link in our early retirement to Devon.

Best Indian around, really impressed with this place and will be back. Tikka Masala was great and the vegetable Passanda was perfect. I also enjoyed the popadoms... particularly with the mango chutney - it tasted homemade as it was so sweet, almost like jam. Absolutely delicious and lovely, polite service.

Fantastic Indian takeaway. Probably the best Indian meal we've had in North Devon for years and very good portions. Open 7 days a week and the pricing was very reasonable. Highly recommended!!

Went here and reviewed last October 2023. I was in the area again October 2024 so thought I would give it a go. Only a small doorway on Bideford Quay so not easy to find. Steep stairway up to the first floor restaurant so may not suit those with mobility issues. There is an electric lift on the ground floor but it looked very small to me and some may not like getting in it I reckon. Premises quite big inside, quiet on the night I went but it was wet. Toilets of a reasonable standard. I had the Bombay Chicken as a main ( chicken with minced lamb and a boiled egg ), a saag bhaji as a side and a garlic naan. Took a little while to come but it was tasty and I enjoyed it. Not a lot of atmosphere but the place was quiet due to the weather so perhaps it livens up when the seasons improve.

This was our first visit here tonight as we have just recently moved to Bideford, and I must say both myself and wife thought the food and hospitality was absolutely amazing. This is family owned restaurant, with husband and wife taking care of everything. Leepa was very friendly and helpful and gave us a guided tour through the menu ,helping us pick some wonderful food with great suggestions. We will return very soon, the best lamb dish we have ever had and some wonderful chefs specialities! Thank you both x

Easily the best Indian takeaway in Bideford. All the usual fare plus some great chef's specialities (love the Naga curry). Generous portions too. Just make sure that you order direct to benefit from discounts on collection orders or free Bombay potatoes. You don't get those through Just Eat!

Food is very good, price is reasonable definitely value for money, Phoebe who is front of house is fantastic definitely good at her job, I'd employ her. The restaurant itself needs attention and could do with some TLC ,
