Heartsease in Norwich

Business closed down for good reason. Used to be lively but run into the ground by last manager. Could possibly re-open with a professionaly minded landlord, but only time will tell. Needs a huge refurbishment investment to repair the decline of recent years but unlikely tbh.

Is there any better place to have a nice relaxing pint after a long day at work? The answer is no. The Heartsease satisfies all your drinking needs. A world without the Heartsease is a world not worth living in…

I found the service fantastic and welcoming. I've played there in my band. There was a great turn out and the landlord really looked after us. This is a great music venue

Doors closed at 630pm on a Monday. Google says open 12-11pm.Thanks to the barman for ignoring us when we knocked!

I tried today, 19.4.23, as a tourist, to buy two meals here, given the "Food now being served" sign, which is visible from the roundabout outside. It was not true. This is false advertising.

Seems like a great place. We went for the first time to watch a band play. Drinks were reasonably priced. Huge carpark. Out door area for smokers too. Friendly people. It's had a bad reputation in the past, but it certainly didn't feel bad to us The atmosphere was great. Definitely go again. It has a pool table too.

Very dirty and not very good beer.

The pub shares a car park with Aldi. I went as an Aldi shopper, thinking I was in an Aldi car park, which signage suggests. However, the pub hires a private company to charge people up to £100 for parking in their unclearly-signed parking bay in what you think is an Aldi car park. What a scam.

It's my HEART, they're my PEOPLE, Down to Earth, Friendly , Approachable People, a mix of 2something to 80 something. I'll guarantee You'll find something for Ya ( even just to lift your mood) . I Learned a Great Many Lessons From this Place.❤️

Great for me I won't take my family there a bit grubby

Went to go in for an evening pint. 9.50 pm and a small group sat at the bar talking to the only chap behind the bar drinking, don’t know if manager or not? Got told straight away that they were shut! The place stank of weed & looked a total dive, from the last time I went in a few months previous. Shocking!

Shows sky so see the footy on one of 4 screens. Prices reasonable.

We went in today for a Sunday roast.. looked on their website to check prices.. they advertised that it would only cost £8.95 for an adult meal. When we arrived the board outside said £10.95. So we still wanted a great carvery. The food was horrible warmed by a microwave as we heard the famous DINGround the back. We couldn't smell any food that had been cooked but was told it was all cooked by the chef. A frozen dinner meal would have been better and cheaper.

Great staff, friendly, well visit again, next time I'm up that way. Didn't try food, but how to next time.

Visited the place to have some beer, was very calm Sunday afternoon - I liked it - standard English pub - friendly staff. Didn't order any food so no comments but definitely will come back to try it.

The premises needs a good redecorating. The ambience is that of a dark unwelcome setting. Light paintwork lighter furniture. It needs to come into the 21st century. Staff very welcoming and polite.

I have had a drink here but I don't know what the food is like.

Went in for food as advertised. And yet again no Staff on to cook food. Very disappointed.

Very friendly staff. Excellent food served quickly. Quiet at lunchtime during the week, not sure what it's like evenings and weekends. Will definitely be back!

I used to live on this road and for many years didn't go there as I was told it was rough however since going there I found it was basically just a little bit louder than I was used to possibly at times rowdy food has been consistently ok sometimes good more of a locals pub really

old boys night out. This is my local pub and has been in need of some TLC for a long time, so with the new management of Joe & Nicci in place I took a chance and called our old footballing mates for the annual gathering . Have to say it could not have been bettered and I have received many calls from the boys talking about the next bash . This is not a Gastro pub ,but the mixed grills ,steaks ,fish & chips were excellent .A good Real Ale was on ,and all drinks reasonably priced . Gigantic Cheeseboard and good coffee ,service by Dani made the evening a great success .The pub does a good very popular Carvery on Sunday and I'm sure will start to get a good following. The pub has recently changed hands and it shows. The place looks cleaner, friendlier and the food has definitely improved.. A great menu and specials board at a good price. A lot more people than previously are eating here. Really friendly and helpful bar staff. The chefess cooks from scratch on some meals... Well worth a visit... Thanks

First impresions good ,friendly. decor comfortable rather than high fasion. sport TV. food good.
