Hearth in Belfast

It's one of the best pubs in Belfast, always a good atmosphere, great choice of drinks and lovely decor. A real attribute to Ballyhackamore and Belfast in general. They always have great live music sessions and entertainment, plenty of sports too. A great pub to call your local.

Had my first date here and always go back with my wife on our anniversary. Like a phoenix it has risen from the flames the best bar in Ballyhack!

Really nice local bar. A shame that we chose this bar over venturing into town to watch the floorball only for their device to not be working. I appreciate prices are set due to the area, rates and fees - however if you are charging this price for drinks at least have a legit platform for sports. Lovely staff overall, clean and great drinks options. Also appreciate its not a dedicated sports bar, but it is advertised as showing live sports.

Great service and friendly atmosphere

There's a great selection of drinks. Lovely staff, that are keen to help. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. Placement of the dart board is a bit dangerous as when you head to the toilet it could be an accidental impact.

Only discovered this place very recently. It's fancy looking and so are the vibes/clientele - if this is your vibe then I'm sure you'll like it here.

Great bar, lights are a bit harsh for being that drunk on a Saturday night. Can't wait to come back.

Nice enough spot though wouldn't recommend for watching sports. One small TV downstairs and a projector. Seating has been limited whenever I've visited.

Called in last Saturday for a quick drink before a visit to my grand daughter nearby. Got a shock when I checked my bank transaction. A pint of Guinness and a glass of white wine set me back £15.75 Grand Central Hotel prices being charged for an out of town bar. Won’t be back I’m afraid.

Recently discovered this place, great place for a few drinks, brilliant it's dog friendly and you can bring food in.

Whiskey bar is excellent. Sam is very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the tipples we sampled.

Hired the upstairs for a baby shower. It's a lovely place. Staff very nice and helpful. Able to bring food in. Showing sports downstairs. Would definitely recommend.

They don't serve food and instead focus on being a traditional pub with sport on tv and regular live music.

Went to watch rugby but not a great location. Ceilings low and so are the Televisions so any sort of crowd makes watching impossible.

Only getting to know this place after a few visits on Thursday for traditional session. Be it upstairs or downstairs it's a great session to sit and chill with. Last week a first for me as even a harp playing with the group. Reasonable prices as well for a popular area. Very good idea that you are also encouraged to get food from the many take aways in area and eat inside. First time I was here we were up for dinner but ended up getting a pizza next door and brought it in. As far as I'm concerned that's a bonus for both places and made me sit in the bar for much longer than I intended.

Six Nations shown, but no commentary on and even the national anthems were on mute. After ordering our drinks upstairs, we were aggressively told by the bar woman we were "loitering" and told to "move", even though we were 3 foot from the bar. All seated, nowhere to stand, so after 10 minutes, we finished our drink and went straight over to Horatio Todds. Much more welcoming staff, great atmosphere for the rugby game, and as always, the punters all really friendly. If your out for the rugby and wanting an atmosphere, go elsewhere than Hearth.

Staff do as little as possible but make it seem like they are doing you a favour. Constantly on their phones and hiding out the back.

Staff are friendly but just don’t get the vibe of the atmosphere.

Fun Friday night quiz...good atmosphere and good choice of drinks

New favourite Wednesday night spot! We brought our own food (Camile Thai from across the road) and it was lovely to have a pint while listening to the live trad music played upstairs from 7pm. Lovely too that people can bring their instruments and join in! Great staff and lovely pints of Guinness! Can’t wait to go back :)

Nice bar - the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great for a weeknight. They don't do food but you can bring in from any local takeaway. Dogs welcome too.

Myself and my friends really enjoy the service at Hearth, Aaron and his team provide an excellent service. Keep it up.

The so called chief is ignorant and somewhat vile. 10 meters away is a lovely restaurant called bistro este and about 100 meters away is Neil’s hill both with better food and I might say better staff. Though the main manager is the problem not the actual bar staff as they are very nice in the Hearth.

We will not be back! My daughter had a friend over from America. During his visit they went for a drink and he was wearing a baseball cap. He was asked to remove it. Not sure why and there is no mention of a dress code. They felt embarrassed and left shortly after this incident. I notice on social media that you have a photo with a number of people wearing baseball caps! I really hope this wasn’t because they were young that they were targeted! This could be seen as discrimination!

Great drinks selection. They should have a time line on the dart board though where by punters have a limited amount of games. Standard gaming etiquette

The pub has been done up nicely but i feel it could do with alot more tables and chairs as there is alot of waste of space when people then have to stand. It serves good drinks but is lacking in atmosphere. Maybe more quirky comfortable places to sit and interact with others would help. The staff were all polite and attentive.

Brilliant, lovely place. Handy to all the takeaways in Ballyhackamore, which you can bring in and eat with a pint in front of the fire.

No food, pub atmosphere is good, good atmosphere at weekend Edit: The hearth has responded, and explained food can be ordered/brought into the pub for consuming, this is a great idea imho, money saving in today's climate.

Good local pub with choice of beers available, but to market yourself as a rugby showing bar yet only have one small screen with no sound on is disappointing. The projector screen wasn't working either. All they need is a few more screens up and turn the sound on this will be a great place.

So glad to have our local back! Lovely decor, great buzz, the staff are so lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them (they made my mum's gin perfect... a rare find!) the bouncers are also really really nice, put up with us thinking we're hilarious when we've had a few! We also love that you can bring in food it really adds a different dynamic, gives people options and contributes to other local business! Can't wait to spend more time here!

Called in Friday night and had a lovely bottle of wine, a lot cosier than before, friendly attentive staff, place looks great , defo needs some live music 🎶

Good to see it open again in the Hack. Called in for a couple of beers tonight. Camden Pale Ale. V. Tasty. It was a Sunday evening (7 pm), but there was a great buzz about the place.

Nice refurbishment, making it more like a cosy local than it was before. Budvar on tap is a nice bonus.
