Asked for Rock & had none, 'don't get it out of season or only for particular customers' . Oh like ne then? The cookers had no food in them ready either. Only 3 people there on arrival 10 mins early. Left 10 MINS late! Asked for salt & vinegar which was non existent! I won't be going back. Don't bother.

Food cooked while I waited. Very fresh. Staff very friendly highly recommended.

Ordered meals to collect. Said 10 minutes, turned up got food straight away which was good! food had no salt & vinegar on any of the chips even when I asked, the burger was dry and over cooked, burger bun was very dry, I asked for lettuce and sauce on my burger, no sauce was put on the burger. Simple order that couldn’t be done correctly.

Hard to park up nearby but managed it ok. Fish cooked to order and wait was reasonable as it was quite busy. I've had better and much worse fish over the years so perhaps slightly disappointed. All fish & chips are expensive these days but these were about average. All in, an ok take away.

food is always cooked to order, so always fresh and hot. when they pack the food into a carrier bag it's always chips first so the fish doesn't get soggy by being on the bottom. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Been using heacham fish bar since we moved here over 3 years ago, the previous owners were brilliant, and the new family that took it on are just as brilliant. Service is sometimes a little slow when they are busy, however they get very busy and it's worth the wait for the quality. Ordering on the website is very easy, and does save a bit of a wait when you collect. Overall, this is the first place we go, we only buy our chippy tea elsewhere when they are closed, and often cook at home instead if they are.

First time we tried this place, sadly, the food was not great, chips very dry and tasteless! Cod roe was soggy, mushy peas was best part of meal, won't be back

Sadly not as good as previous owners but maybe a one off, Fish not cooked thoroughly as batter still raw inside and chips soggy ☹️ Pleased to say after returning to try again they were absolutely fantastic credit to the new owners 👏👏 needless to say I’ll be back 👍

I ordered fish and chips online, went to collect at agreed time, was very busy but staff immediately apologized for running slightly late but only about 10 minute wait. They again apologized when I received my order. Lovely people and the fish and chips were great, batter so light on the fish.

Food was good. Shop was very busy, but food was prepared in good time.

Ordered online for 6pm collection. But, got there and were told they were very busy and we didn't get our order until 6:28. Food was delicious but they need to rethink how the online time slots are controlled. Otherwise 5* quality

45 mins to get my order. Food was fine but totally not worth the wait.

Best fish and chips we had in long time, also chicken burger was delightful, everything fresh and tasty. I have to mention chips! I never had so good chips in any fish and chip shop ever! It was so good that kept my kids quiet until they finished:)

Fish and chips were so tasty. Crispy, light batter and cooked to perfection. Chips were delicious too! Definitely recommend. Staff were really kind and friendly. Be patient as everything is cooked fresh, so if busy, it takes a while. Definitely worth the wait!!

I have been coming to this chippy for years, and after being sad the previous owners took their well earned retirement; tonight I gave the new proprietors a try. So pleased that I did. Had a lovely battered jumbo and chips... And scraps of course! The batter is light and crunchy. The shop was very clean and the staff very friendly and efficient. Very happy that I can still call this my favourite chippy :-)

Very friendly staff. Lots of choice on the menu. Freshly cooked to order .We had two regular chips ,large fish and a jumbo battered sausage. All of which was really tasty ,the batter was very crispy fish , the fish was delicious and the chips were the nicest I have had in a long time.Great curry sauce. Will definitely be going back .

Food tasted really nice. Personally, didn't like the skin being left on the fish but was lovely all the same. Portion size of the large chips was quite small though.

Staff and owner friendly but very disappointed with the food.

We have always used this chippy with the previous owners who were lovely, great that we could order online and state when to collect, done that and husbank went and collected, good price, very nice people, and our order was delicious, I am vegetarian but I love pineapple rings, perfect. This was my first time having fish and chips since the new owners took over. I ordered online and it said 30 minutes wait. When I got there they were very busy. I had to wait another 30 minutes for my order to be ready but I didn't mind. There was a few people moaning about the wait but they did tell people when ordering that there was a delay. Also they are cooking everything to order. The staff were very nice, offered me a drink as I was waiting so long. The fish was delicious, cooked really well as were the chips. I would recommend going but just expect a bit of a wait. I will definitely go back again. Thankyou heacham fish bar 😊

Great fish shop, all fresh and decent portions.

This is the second lot of fish and chips the first time they were lovely the second time they were terrible the chips were dry the batter was brown and greasy unlike first time it was golden and light this is not what I expected. Ps I know you are new to this but but it has put us off. I have now tried this fish and chip shop again and I have to say the fish and chip were excellent I can highly recommend them the owners were so friendly If they keep up this standard I will be very happy to use them regularly I can honestly say the best fish and chip I have ever had thank you. First time trying the food. Unfortunately it was just ok. The chips were very dry, was disappointed that the fish had the skin still on which I feel that most chip shops remove it nowadays. Mushy peas were probably the best part of the meal. I did ask for salt and vinegar but couldn’t actually taste it so had to add more from home.

Ordering online was super easy, friendly welcome and great food. Will definitely be using you again , thank you 😊

Great traditional fish and chip shop. New owners gave warm welcome and every order is cooked fresh. The cod is fresh and not frozen as well. Reasonably priced. Best chippy in the area.

This chip shop has new owners, they were very friendly. Its a great chip shop and good prices. We had their homemade spring rolls and chips. Every is cooked to order and the food is glorious 😊

Very nice Chinese couple that run this chip shop, sadly up for sale 😕, hopefully the new owners will be as kind. Food is also very good 😊 It's a very traditional fish and chip shop using dripping. Tastes delicious. They also have most other items like most traditional chip shops like mushy pees, cod, steak, and kidney pies, etc. They also stock many canned fizzy drinks along with bottled still drinks. Parking can be an issue, so maybe walk to avoid disappointment orgetdropped off and pick up.

It's the local fish and chips shop. Very efficient and friendly staff. Lovely fish and chips, battered sausage. That's all we had so cannot say about anything else. But the food we had for 6 people was really nice, couldn't fault it.

While staying in Heacham, we had lovely freshly cooked food from this shop. Nice friendly staff. We had fish and chips, sausage and chips and burger and chips and it was all super. Very reasonably priced and we would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

Fish and chips £9.50. Food and staff were fine but a long long wait. I wouldn't put you off but personally won't be bothering with the hassle just for fish and chips.

We ordered fish and chips and saveloy - both were delicious. However, took an extremely long time to get our order as it was very busy.

Fish very fresh, lovely batter...great chips...we had Cod and Haddock both were outstanding.

We went to Hunstanton for the weekend, spent a short while on deciding where we wanted to go for fish and chips and decided upon this place. So we liked the 4.5 stars review but wasn't we wrong. Staff were nice and polite, cooked our food to order etc but unfortunately the food we had spend £20 odd pound on for 2 of us was to be genuinely honest probably the worst fish and chips we have ever tasted. . Chips tasted of old stale oil . Fish was burnt beyond belief on the outside but uncooked batter remained on the inside and completely tasteless but the smell of stale oil, fish was absolutely saturated in oil to the point the grease was all over my lap, shorts, t shirt as it had saturated and soaked through the paper! The whole lot went in the bin just wasn't edible. Sorry to say but for a nice little village chippy it's lacking massively in quality! Don't think we shall revisit anytime soon.

Hello, my Mum, a friend of ours and I went birding at Nearby Snettisham RSPB and decided to have Fish and Chips. Having researched on Trip Advisor, we decided to call in at the Heacham Fish Bar. We had Plaice and chips and weren't disappointed. 😋

Just enjoyed superb Haddock and Chips, all cooked to order. My wife and I visit this area to see her Mother, usually we prepare and cook ourselves so nice to have a change. I highly recommend and the owners are so friendly.

This is our closest Fish and Chip shop. It is also (in our opinion), the best in the area. Takeaway only. Freshly cooked therefore you may have a wait or chose to order by phone.

We recently moved into this area and we love our local fish & chip shop. The fish is really good quality, you also can watch it being cooked right in front of you. Great prices and very friendly staff.👍🏼

This village fish and chip shop is run by a local family and they are always friendly and helpful. The fish and chips are excellent and you get good portions. I highly recommend them and am a regular for a treat or when we've failed to be organised at the end of a long day 🙄. Top tip is to ring and book your meal and they'll have it ready for you, piping hot at the time you choose - so you don't have to queue!
