Hayle Kebab House in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Ordered chicken kebab with chips. Got home, wrong order, got chicken in pitta instead. Salad was lovely and fresh, especially the tomatoes but the chicken wasn’t fresh. Tough and over cooked. Disappointed.

Asked for garlic souse, got plenty of mayonnaise, called them but they trying to tell me is garlic. What a lie. Do not recommend

Useless as always every time I ask for no cheese there's always cheese on the burger would of been alright if it was cheep but 11 pounds for the trex burger in the bin not happy Really not happy there's to much of a language barrier and that don't no wt your saying

The doner wrap the Best in the world fantastic kebab and Good size portions and I reccomend as well the chicken doner kebab

My partner went there at teatime yesterday. In total there were 5 staff visible, but dispite that they left him standing there for about 5 minutes. When he ordered, he wanted kebab meat, and chips. He explained that he didn't want the chips is the same box ( l wanted some chips, but not near the meat) They were quiet rude about the request?? The food was fine, it was more about there atatude.

Kebab was cold and not very good in general. Salad and coleslaw was nice. Burger wasn't very good either. Funny taste to it. Chips were lovely and crispy.

Just always spot on! Solid menu choice. Great kebabs, garlic bread and cheese, wedges all awesome … popcorn chicken beats a certain Colonel 👀👀 oh and the deserts 👌👌☺️. Delivery always speedy, food hot and fresh, staff really polite. When are you opening St Ives… we need you!?

Had a lamb doner and the hubby had a mixed grill kebab with cheesy chips. Jalapeno bites were lovely too. All lovely and freshly cooked and generous portions.

This is always my go to takeaway when visiting hayle. Always deliver amazing food on time. I Would highly recomend this place to anyone !!!! Meat is all of a very high standard. As an added bonus they deliver the food with separate salads and is all packaged in recyclable packaging .... well done Hayle Kebabs 10/10

What an absolutely brilliant take away, delivered to the park we stayed at, it arrived hot as well, we used this take away last year and maybe the year before, the food was very tasty and plentiful, sometimes a bit more than we could devour, we have never had cause to ring and complain.

Awful service. Staying at St Ives Bay Beach Resort and ordered over the phone. I was told someone would ring us when it was the way but didn’t hear anything after around 45 minutes so rang them back. At first they couldn’t find our order, then was told it would be 10 minutes. So left it 5 minutes walked to the main reception where we were told it would be dropped off. Waited another 10 minutes, no order so rang them back. The gentleman on the phone said he would ring the driver and then ring us back… we didn’t get a call back. We rang them back again, was told he was on his way and he said our number was written down wrong and that’s why he couldn’t ring us… even after calling 3 times. He rang the driver whilst on the phone who said he was at the main gate and wasn’t allowed in the resort. The gentleman on the phone proceeded to tell me that they aren’t ever allowed on the site once the barriers were down for takeaways. This was never said previously when we ordered the take away or the 2 other times we rang as we would’ve happily walked down to the barriers if that was the case. So we walked to the gate and the food was lukewarm and was told we could have a discount after asking for it (this was never offered). It took 1 hour and 15 minutes for us to get our food in total and we had to warm it up in the microwave! This takeaway is in the information brochure that we were given on arrival, so it is recommended by the resort but they didn’t know where the place was at first. We will be passing this onto guest services. Will not use this takeaway again and don’t recommend others to either.

Best kebab in town or anywhere else I've ever had one. Great service, generous amount, clean premises, the meat was not dripping with grease nor was it dry, very generous portions, not a long wait at all, reasonable prices, very busy place and the standards were not slipping one bit considering how busy they get. If you're anywhere near Hayle and fancy a kebab, pizza, a burger, you've got to try this place.

Very handy position, right next door to the pub. And still open at closing time! Not the cheapest kebab but plenty in our meal & tasty.

On holiday in Cornwall, even delivered to caravan destination, this is I can honestly say the biggest and best kebab we have ever had. The staff were very friendly on the phone and the delivery driver was equally pleasant, ingredients were fresh and the donner meat and chicken were fantastically flavoured, my only thing is I live 8 hours away and bet they wouldn't deliver. Joking a side well done for a fantastic, good value and great portion

Excellent food. We had the t rex burger! Was amazing! You couldn't finish it all, but really was a delight. Also had the chicken shish kebab which was well worth the money. Very friendly staff. Shop was always busy when we visited.

Staying nearby on holiday & we decided to try here for a kebab. Easy to order online & we went to collect. Our order was ready when they stated & we got it back to our accommodation still hot. We were both impressed with our kebab & we throughly enjoyed them

We stayed at John Fowler St Ives last year and again this year, and this year saw more of their food than last year. A wide variety on the menu, ordered on line and delivered to the park, I tried 3 types of kebab, and a pizza, and others in our party ordered theirs. Mine was the best I have ever had sampled any where, and the others in our party said the same..........only downfall..... there was too much, I am sure the more we ordered on a night more was added... what can I say, great taste, plentiful, hot, never cold, only the salad, we are back next year, I bet we hit the take away again. Thank you for the delicious food

After careful consideration I've changed my review (again). Before, I gave it 5 stars because it had value for money and was nice enough, something I'd happily buy weekly. Now, after another price hike, I honestly can't recommend the place. I know they need to make profits to keep open but I also think there is a tipping point when the value of the product is not represented by the price, and the kebab house has passed that point and no longer offers value for money. I'd also not buy online, I do because I'm lazy but the prices are more expensive, on top of a service charge and then with a delivery charge on top of that.

Shame 0 stars isn’t a option where do I start , found this place as was staying in Cornwall on a short break me and my family was hungry so wanted to eat a meal before driving back home to London , went into shop to order food they don’t accept CARD only CASH so had to then go find a cash machine i then returned to collect my food and pay for it i then took it back to my accommodation to eat my dinner the chicken donner kebab was luke warm the chicken was all burnt and tasteless I found a hair in the kebab the salad was soggy and tasted like it’s sat there for days my daughters chicken nuggets were raw lucky I cut them for her before feeding them to her the chips were tasteless the 1/2 pounder burger was shocking overcooked and tasteless AVOID THIS KEBAB SHOP GO ELSE WHERE!!!!

We live in st ives and travel to here for better food at better price think that says it all lol Unfortunately prices have shot up over the last year or 2 not sure if ownership changed pizza cheese definitely has and for us not for the better and a few different faces in there prices at this time are 50p to a pound or more on most items compared to up country's which for family of 6 adds up to a fair bit shame as we now find ourselves ordering a different takeaway instead 😭

Youve got to hand it to the Gents who work here, they’re like a well oiled machine, super efficient, totally on the ball and despite being rushed off their feet sometimes they’re always, always friendly and jovial. I love going in there for a ‘dirrrrrty kebab’ on a Friday night, fully loaded and blow your head off hot! Open till late too you can get burgers, pizzas, chips here too. Just the job after a few drinks. I’d definitely recommend them. Be patient though, they’re busy which is always a good sign. They’ll get to you eventually and it’s always worth the wait.

Cash only sales , no change , manager on his mobile and seemed more interested than his call than sorting change out for waiting customers. Cooks were eating from the bain maries and talking so aerasol onto fresh food . Food was luke warm too !!

Limited choice for kebab houses in the area but this must be one of the best. The prices are a little too high for the area although the kebabs are nice. The portions are average and nothing worth boasting about. The kebab came with a decent salad bowl and pathetic chilli sauce. The restaurant looked relatively clean. It was a little disappointing that none of the staff wearing kitchen uniform. There is rooms for improvement for this establishment and the first one would be get a card machine. It’s cash only in 2021!?I’ll let you judge that...

Really lovely and fresh, delivery was quick and the food arrived piping hot. Portions are big which was needed after a long day at the beach ⛱

Misleading pricing- they charge an extra £1 on every item due to ‘seasonal charge’. When questioned they said the boss said so. This isn’t displayed anywhere and sounds very suspect. Cash only too. Will follow up with the ‘seasonal charge’ with the council as to whether this is allowed. Service was slow- forgot my order. Food was ok, nothing special but better than your usual dirty kebab.

Downhill big time ordered online asked for kebab pizza but the cheese to be cooked on the top of the meat when we collected it was basically the worst Margarita with kebab plonked on top I took it back in and explained how I requested...

Happily placed my order (No 55) for 3 family members. Order time to receipt was very good. Drove the 4 miles to our accommodation….and ….upon viewing the carrier bag found 4 parcelled meals within. The 4 cartoned meals did not resemble anything we had ordered….loads...

Absolutely terrible service tonight ordered food was told 45 minutes for delivery, to still be waiting for over an hour, phonned the shop to be told it hadn't even left but would be delivered in the next 15 minutes, but it wasn't an hour and 45 minutes after ordering we finally received our order, the guy on the phone just kept fobbing me off really bad customer service, the food when we received it wasn't even hot it was luke warm, I didn't phone back to complain as felt like they didn't give a hoot when my order was late and I was ringing and asking. Absolutely shocking I understand businesses are busy it's Saturday night, but what I don't expect is to be told delivery times and then still not receive it and to also be made to feel like they didn't care either!!!

Don't waste your money. I never write reviews but felt this one was needed. Firstly we asked for no onions in both kebabs, one was smothered in raw red onion. Although it had a nice flavour the meat was dry and overcooked, old salad, cheap sauce and barely any of it, pitta bread had clearly been warmed on a dirty greasy griddle, making it inedible. The only saving grace was Lucys bakes, but if that was my business I wouldn't want to be associated with this place.

Great food! Although stayed in Hayle a couple of times, first time getting food here. Was really good. Chips are very generous. Meat was tasty. Service was a bit slow but a Saturday night and other places shut due to covid so was to be expected. Food certainly made up for the wait though!

Used to have great meals from them , however food quality,portions has decreased and will not be ordering from them again, burger smelt real funny, small portions, all salad and no meat, no sauce as requested 2 meals £16...... expensive !!

We eat from here every 4/5 weeks as a treat and I wouldn't get my kebab from anywhere else. The food is delicious, great portion sizes, very reasonable price and the staff are delightful.

Good food, but terrible service! Took an hour and 50 minutes to arrive, and when it did eventually arrive it was stone cold. When we phoned up, not even a hint of wanting to make up for it. Very disappointed.

Not good! Most of it went in the bin. The vegan pizza was cold and tasteless. Partners kebab was greasy and tasteless. Deserts were just 100% sugar and also awful, chicken strips were dripping in oil. Total order was nearly £50 and what a waste....

Had a wrap of lamb donner the other day which was tasty. Had another takeaway and had a lamb shish which I was unable to chew. If like me you are a few teeth short, stick to the donner meat based on my experience.

I have deliveries from here occasionally as a treat. I feel the more recent deliveries haven't been as good as they used to be. My last delivery was very disappointing. The delivery driver was sent to completely the wrong place, I assume by sat nav. Sometimes these things happen I accept, but it did mean the food wasn't fresh when it arrived, and was cold and soggy. Then they forgot the drink that had been ordered. Admittedly the driver gave me the money back there and then, but it still meant I'd not got a nice drink to wash down my meal. Finally, after I'd eaten what I could of the cold food, I looked at the desserts I'd ordered, only to realise 2 of them were the wrong items. I contacted them through their Facebook page. They apologised, but there was no offer of putting anything right. One of the desserts they sent incorrectly, my children and I didn't like and couldn't eat, so that was nearly £4 thrown in the bin because they sent the wrong thing. The other wrong one we at least managed to eat, but it was still a disappointment. This will be the last time we order, I feel it was a complete waste of money and a big let down.

Food was huge. Kebabs were massive loads of meat. Cheesy chips were amazing! Lots of food for a good price. Was so full up couldnt finish it.

Ordered online which said food would be ready in 15 minutes. Turned up 20 minutes later. Food not ready. I paid for my order. Waited another 15 minutes and still nothing. I left the shop as was sweating in my mask. Disgraceful. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP, ALL THEY DO IS TAKE CARE OF DELIVERY ORDERS, LEAVING CUSTOMERS WAITING AROUND LIKE LEMONS. Worst kebab shop in the world. Shame I can’t give them zero stars as that’s what they deserve. You still took my money which as far as I can work out is extortion so I will be writing to the local council to complain about your working practices.

Please find a different kebab if you got a chance otherwise you will need a toilet roll. Meet to Salty and salad was not fresh at all. Sorry but we can not recomend this kebab.

Very nice food however you have abit of a wait for your food because its very busy but they do serve halal food just ask they will tell you what is halal pn the menu
