Haya in Kensington and Chelsea

Great spot. Not too casual - great evening atmosphere. Amazing sharing plates and the best hummus and bread I've had in a very long time. Chicken shawarma and barbecue carrots not to be missed!

brilliant food, lovely service. good wine list. well-priced. will definitely be back. v well balanced between healthy and indulgent. a really great London restaurant with a local feel.

Have just had the most delicious food at Haya which was suggested by my daughter who lives locally…she said I was at the coffe shop next door and the food looked so delicious, so I booked it and so glad I did. Every dish was excellent and the baba ghanoush is the best I’ve ever tasted. Would also recommend the the cheese marshmallows and the grilled prawns. All served by warm friendly, efficient team. Definitely my new favourite in NH!

The food was delicious & so fresh. There was a nice variety on the menu & everyone enjoyed it & they were happy to modify for our gluten free girl.

We had visited The Museum of Brands and were looking for somewhere to have lunch. By fantastic good fortune we came across Haya. From the moment we walked in the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. We started with delicious humus followed by shakshuka finished off with lovely desserts. Haya shows that there is nothing better than simple food made with good quality ingredients and cooked with care and attention to detail can not be bettered.

The food here was exquisite! The flavour of everything we tried was 10/10. The service here was sublime, we walked in on a Friday at peak time and was offered a table straight away. The food came quick but was cooked to perfection. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in London.

All in all a lovely experience, food was great, plenty of veggie options, nice ambience, attentive staff, stylish interior. The only note I would give is that they brought a complimentary salmon canapé to the table on account of it being Mother’s Day weekend which was a lovely gesture but I am vegetarian and they had not alternative to offer which is a shame as I couldn’t join in and I’m a mother of 4! Vegetarians do still sometimes get forgotten! Despite that I fully recommend!

The dinner was pleasant and the waiter was very friendly. All up until I ate a red pepper that was in the chicken plate I ordered and my mouth started bursting so much that for a good 5 minutes I couldn’t speak and was contemplating to go to the hospital. The waitress brought a spoon of yogurt, a glass of milk and we asked for some bread to calm it down and eventually some iced water helped (my mouth is still soar even after the meal). When it came to paying the bill we asked for the bread to be removed because we did not touch it and we did not want it in the first place, just to calm my mouth down. The manager of the restaurant came ( a blond girl) and she told us she will not take the bread out and she also put the milk in the bill for £1!!! Never experienced such a disrespectful behavior at a restaurant - will never ever come back

The food is plated well, and the goat cheese shakshuka is delicious! But at £17 this place is not cheap, which is to be expected in the area. That said if I was looking for a nice meal and lovely food in the area I would return here. The brown bread sourdough pitas are also delicious, especially when they come right out of the oven. Some quibbles however: one small pita split in half for the shakshuka is just inadequate. And charging extra for bread when ordering dips is just rubbish. I also had to ask twice for extra bread for the shakshuka… it was a while and my plate had cooled considerably so was definitely less appetising. I do have to give the staff credit for dealing professionally with my friend’s pain in the you know what guest. She was so picky and complain-ey, I wanted to slap her! If in the area I would return, if just to try the labneh and babaganoush (and begrudgingly pay for the bread that comes with it).

I can’t fault the quality of the food or the ambiance however we had an exceptionally speedy service & had asked for our food to be paused as we couldn’t eat that fast & it was getting cold. We then had the kitchen manager promptly arrive at our table to inform us how the concept worked; it felt slightly passive aggressive. My biggest disappointment related to the service charge. 12.5% service was added to the bill however I was passed the card machine which had lots of options for service charge. I ended up paying 22.5% in service. I’ve never experienced this before hence the confusion. HAYA could have easily clicked through the options on the card machine before passing it my direction.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. We really enjoyed sharing many of the fab dishes amongst our group. Thoroughly recommend.

Three people for dinner: had challah with dips, grilled prawns, octopus and potato, baba ganoush, couple of other dishes I can't remember, bottle of wine, one dessert...came to around 175 pounds. Food not bad but I found it a bit expensive frankly. Cheapest avalable wine was £45.oo on the night. Wife and I felt slightly queasy after. Not sure octopus cooked through. Restaurant was packed.
