Beautiful old hotel . Room was lovely . Staff outstanding

Big place with Tudor charm and good service. Beef and Malbec pie was quality. A little stingy on the mash and carrots but would come again.

We had a lovely meal, which was great value for money. The service was friendly and helpful and we weren’t made to feel rushed.

Excellent service and food. Good atmosphere and very clean premises. Special shout out to Maddie our waitress who was very professional.

Were visiting the Bronte Parsonage while on a trip from the States. Had a lovely Sunday roast dinner at Haworth Old Hall and would gladly recommend it to others. Good food, drink, and atmosphere.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service every time we visit. It’s always our 1st choice as you always get looked after and a great place to spend time with family.

Called for a lunchtime family meal. We did book in advance, and a good job as was busy. There was loads of choice on the menu, took us ages to make a decision. Service was great, both young girls were coving all tables promptly with a smile on their face, even though it was busy. Food was very nice, we ordered sausage and mash, steak and pie duo and chicken burger (forgot to take pictures), was all presented nicely and tasted great. Will definitely be back soon

Update: Received sickness and diarrhea from the food. Lovely building, OK beer, very poor food. Ordered 2 fish and chips but both orders of fish were soggy with flavourless and colourless batter, chips were anemic definately not triple cooked as advertised and seemed out of a frozen bag, peas like water. Unacceptable for over £17 and returned one. Cauliflower wings tasted nice but portion was as if for ants at over £2 per morsel (3) of cauliflower. Other guests also returning food at same time. Pints were average quality but almost £5 for cask.

The town is located in a beautiful place that is worth visiting because I was in Scotland and going to London and decided to pay a quick visit to the place and it is really worth visiting. The views are beautiful and the buildings and they have restaurants and cafes and I recommend Sunday because they have many activities

Excellent pub in the heart of Haworth. Haven't visited in a few years and have to say the standard of food and the welcoming staff has moved up a notch. Excellent Sunday lunch at reasonable prices in a beautiful building. What's not to like?

What a great atmosphere & attitude by all the staff. I'm out from South Africa visiting friends who had work so I popped in alone and felt so at ease . Met a few of the other lovely patrons and soaked up your gorgeous fireplace. Your variety of ciders is fab too. I intend being in the area more often as looking for a property. Keep up the great place especially the lovely, efficient bar lady. I truly love the old worlde building & style too.

Came without a booking on valentines just chancing it. Didn't have any available as they were running behind. However the manager came and managed to sort one out for us in the bar area so that was a godsend. Food was lovely and a nice quick service considering, attentive and all around lovely. Would highly recommend, a pleasant experience and friendly staff. Thank you again.

Called in for food and drink. Excellent position for visiting Haworth and the area. Staff who were friendly and welcoming staff, who were efficient and accurate with the order, who checked that all was ok, (but not as a bored routine check) and also appeared to enjoy their interactions (not only with our table but I saw this with others too). Service was efficient. Environment was warm and cosy, and the tables were not squashed in.

Very accommodating! no tables left in the restaurant but they didn't just shun us away they gave us an option to see if any came available. A kind couple made us welcome by giving up there table! and service at the bar was quick and easy. Brilliant staff very nice food and atmosphere friendly locals and dog friendly!

Promptly taken to our table and asked about allergies etc. Then drinks ordered taken. When we had given our food order was advised that could be 20-25 minutes wait for food as they had a large party in. This wasn't a problem for us. Food arrived my partner's vegetables were cold as was the pot of gravy ( steak and ale pie. I had the mixed Grill, pork chop was dry but apart from that was good. Both had sticky toffee pudding and custard, again custard in little jug was practically cold. Would go again but not rush back

During our visit from Canada, we decided to take in the wonderful village of Haworth. At the bottom of the street we found this little gem of a pub. We got a lovely warm welcome and we enjoyed our stay. We didn't eat because they were fully booked but we enjoyed the beer and banter of a great English country pub. Definitely recommend a visit. As a bonus, they serve Hawkstone beer. Very happy.@Hawkstone

I’m saddened to say it was simply awful. Service hit and miss for drink orders, table of 8 split into to 4s. Worst part was the food, inedible lasagne and a sirloin featuring the worst cut of meat ever experienced. Sadly will not be returning or recommending

Not a great experience this time. There was an over reaction from the landlord following a minor incident involving our.dog. Instead of asking us what actually happened he relied entirely on the account presented to him by the customer.whose shoe our dog had briefly attached himself to. A matter of seconds with no damage to person or shoe. Whilst I accept that our dog's behaviour was out of order (he is a rescue dog that we have just taken on) the customer and the landlord completely over reacted. We won't be visiting again and neither will.any of our friends.

On the 3rd Jan 2024 we stopped at Haworth Old Hall for lunch because we were starving, and it was the first place we saw. The food was… creative. My partner’s chicken curry tasted suspiciously like a microwave meal, and the chicken and mushroom pie my nephew and I ordered had a soggy crust and clumpy filling. The mashed potatoes and gravy were lumpy (for texture, perhaps?) The waitresses were really lovely throughout, could not fault one bit of their customer service. They did ask us if we enjoyed our meals, even though we did not - we are always too polite to say the truth. Later, at 6 PM, we thought we’d give the place another shot with drinks. The bartender, who might have had a few himself, aggressively demanded ID from my 29-year-old partner, shouting “No ID, no alcohol!” when we asked for a shandy for my 16-year-old nephew lol, he sure had a lot of energy to spare on sober polite customers. Fair enough, rules are rules. But when we let the nephew taste a sip of my Baileys and Tia Maria, the bartender stormed over and shouted, “We will have to throw you out if any underage drinking is happening here!” A calm and reasonable response, of course. Threatening to throw us out was likely an overreaction. While he was correct to prevent the 16-year-old from consuming alcohol, the manner of enforcement seemed wildly disproportionate given it was just a taste of my drink and we spoke to every member of staff with utmost respect and dignity the entire time, including the said possibly intoxicated bartender man. Reasonable Handling Would Have Involved: 1. Politely explaining the legal restrictions 2. Describing the curious 16 year old what it tastes like, to humour him and to not embarrass his adult companions 3. Providing a non-alcoholic alternative Why the Threat Was Unnecessary: 1. A single sip of Baileys is not a serious legal violation, reasonably as it is not worth the fine we were very OBVIOUSLY not looking for trouble 2. The possibly intoxicated bartender should maybe undergo some training on how to deal with polite customers politely, tactful handling would have actually impressed us (we understand that energy is perhaps necessary on drunk wild customers) man was about to explode with temper issues 3. Threatening immediate removal creates an unnecessarily hostile environment, enforcement should be professional and proportionate. Most reputable establishments would handle such a situation with more discretion and communication We felt watched the next 10 mins, what to say to such lovely customer service? A whopping two out of five star experience! Haworth Old Hall is perfect if you’re craving average food and embarrassing drunk bartender. Otherwise, keep walking.

Me, my partner and nephew visited for food early on in the day. They both had the chicken and mushroom pie. It wasn’t amazing. Probably better than the Tikka masala that I chose which tasted like microwaved food. The young waitresses were lovely. We went back later in the day around 6pm just for a drink as we were waiting to be picked up from howarth. As we returned, there was an arrogant middle aged chubby lad behind the bar. Who id’d us before even saying hello. I politely asked if my nephew could have a shandy as he is only 16. Which you’d think would be fine under supervision! After he said no which was fine by us we sat down with our drinks my nephew asked if he could have a small taste of my partners baileys. And that was it. He stormed over like a 5ft5 storm trooper and said if he has another sip he would kick us out. We just stared in shock for a couple of seconds. It was clear the other staff felt embarrassed with how he acted towards us. Hopefully the manager/bar tender was just having a bad day and won’t be like that with other nice customers who visit Howarth. Date of visit 03/01/2024

Unfortunately we are unable to recommend this establishment due to the Manner & attitude of the staff. We had a pub grub meal, chicken & mushroom pie, fish & chips with wine. Upon paying for the meal £55.50 the waitress advised that we select the relevant option on the card machine, which was to select tips or No tip, I selected No tip, however the card machine proceeded to charge a further 20% £11:10 equating to £66.60 . I raised concerns to the waitress that I had selected no tip, she raised this with a male/ manager. He advised that the overpayment could Not be refunded to my card for 10 days!!! The male was extremely rude & dismissive towards us and made us feel very uncomfortable. His behaviour was a direct reflection of him & Marstons and not of ourselves! We will be making a formal complaint to Marstons. Your response below does not reflect what actually happened, just to confirm, we were asked if everything was ok with our meal, we said yes(don’t recall calling it great) I selected the no tip on the card machine however was charged a further £11.10, when ‘I’ highlighted the overpayment there was no apology, no customer service skills applied and it was quite clear that the incident was an inconvenience to you & staff members! Unfortunately I cannot award any higher than a one star due our experience on the day and upon reading your response only confirms my review! we were not rude to any of the staff members, the male/manager’s manner & attitude was rude & dismissive to ourselves. Your response to my review is factually incorrect and only confirms that your conduct towards ourselves as paying customers on that day is a direct reflection on yourself & Marstons!

Lovely place, All the Staff are so friendly couldn't fault any of them all very welcoming from moment we walked in till we left nothing was to much for them. The food is delicious would recommend the chicken & chorizo Kebab.

This is our 3rd time here tonight but this time without the kids, had a fantastic night lovely food and beer highly recommend.

A pleasant pub with a lovely atmosphere and great service. However, we felt that the price of the wine and the price of the main course food didn't reflect the quality that we expected or experienced, leaving us disappointed after an average meal at best. I hope this feedback helps improve the quality of food & drink, as it really is a nice venue.

After a short Boxing day walk, we came across the Old Hall and had to stop to try out the hospitality, not disappointed even though it was very busy.

We had our Christmas dinner there this year 2024 it was the best Christmas dinner that me and my partner has ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone for food any time of the year., The server called Kirsten was excellent made our day she should be working for a Michelin star restaurant. We have booked for Christmas Day as staying in Haworth and got a £10 off voucher for doing so and decided to use it to help celebrate my wife's birthday. An old historic property with plenty of character. A warm welcome and the young lady who served us was excellent. Friendly and professional a real credit to you. Even said sorry to disturb you when asking if everything was ok. Also allowed us to actually have tried the food before doing so. The food was excellent, well cooked and plenty of it. Whilst you were busy service was very good. My £10 discount went straight back on as a tip.

We had an excellent Christmas meal at Haworth Old Hall. Really appreciated that they have on site parking with disabled spaces available. Lovely atmosphere, good selection of drinks and a great meal. Andrea really looked after us and even though it was busy, her service was the perfect level of attentiveness, I felt like we were the only people there. Whole heartedly recommend :)

Excellent sunday roast and the staff was very attentive and helpful.

Had four different starters, three were terrible value for money and flavour, hence won’t be ordering mains or going back anytime soon. Prawn cocktail was tiny for £8 and didn’t even have paprika on a very bland sauce. The £6.50 tomato soup was small bowl and had a bitter type taste, no herby or tomato flavour. The pate was passable and Halloumi fries were decent but a bought-in sweet chilli dip.

Super meal - standard pub food, but all edible and tasty - (the hunters chicken could have done with some peas rather than bagged salad). Pie and mash and pudding was great. Staff phoned to sort timing out as I’d booked online but left a message to say I’d like to move it later. Really thoughtful and made our evening perfect timewise. Pub was super busy and well decorated for Christmas. Service was great, speedy and friendly.

Beautiful pub. Huge when inside. It's at the bottom of the "main street" hill so it's a welcome rest after the walk down or a nice refresher before the walk up. It's very expensive though. I think the pint I had was close to £7. Save you thirst and walk to The Fleece Inn which is much cheaper and just as nice. And the staff at the Fleece are really friendly too. I can't comment on the rooms, so no stars doesn't mean they were awful. We didn't stay here.

Staff and service fine but food was awful. Chick pea and sweet potato curry was quite cold and had no flavour to it. Rice was hot and ok. Americans steak was ok but asked for rare and got almost blue. Hardly cooked but I don't mind that too much. BBQ sauce was non existent and I am not sure what was on top of steak but it didnt resemble cheese as described. The sides of beefsteak tomato and field mushroom consisted of a slice of garden tomato not grilled and half a small flat mushroom also cold. Chips were fine. We don't send food back as we are never sure what we will be done to it before returning. (past experience). We did mention the food was cold to the waitress whose attitude towards us changed immediately but no offer of explanation made.

Fabulous experience, the food was amazing, the staff were really attentive and helpful despite being absolutely rushed off their feet as it was so busy, great range of beer etc at the bar, menu is excellent as well as a good range of gluten free. Myself and my friend loved it and we will be back very soon. Well done all.

The staff were welcoming throughout even though the place was heaving with customers both eating and drinking. They were polite the food was lovely and the atmosphere was pleasant.

A group of six of us had a gorgeous Sunday lunch here with our three dogs. The service was prompt and very friendly. We will return.

We had a lovely time last night. Very busy and very festive. Our table wasn’t ready on arrival so wet had a 20 minute wait but we got drinks while waiting. The staff were all lovely and did a great job in busy times. Lots of menu choices and food delicious. The baked feta mmmmmm. Also the happy birthday banner and song was a lovely touch. Thanks to all. We popped in for a couple of rounds of drinks around 4pm on a Friday. The main seating area was fully reserved but relatively empty and we weren't allowed to sit at all. Not even allowed to move a chair to create somewhere to sit in the bar area. We felt the drinks were rather expensive at almost £17 for a pint and large wine so for these reasons we only stayed for one and didn't get to see most of what looked like a lovely old building in other reviews.

We had a lovely lunch with our grandchildren (6&3) the kids were welcomed it was relaxed with good food and lively surroundings Children were well catered for
