Food Is excellent, Service is Great! Asked for Happy Birthday to be written on 1 item, and they went above and beyond, writing it in carrot inside the container!

Worst food i have ever had ordered lemon chicken which looked like it had been cooked more than once The whole meal smelt of old cooking fat disgusting .

Usually pretty good, but this time was not good, all meat was dry and texture like it had been under a heat lamp the whole day, very tough meat. Couldn't even tell it was salt and pepper flavoured. No onions anf no pepper. Disappointing

Ordered tonight for two,food arrived 20 mins after placing the order which was really quick and probably why the food was awful .. the ribs were so dry even the dog didn’t want them .. chicken balls were rock hard and tasteless and the beef was chewy and not really sure it was beef to be honest.. £26 for what?? Definitely will not be ordering again was a total rip off Do not order from these 😡

this is the first time I have bought (wasted my money) on a takeaway this year this chinese used to be really nice but after tonight I won't go back to them again.

Whenever we call into Chesterfield we just have call here for a Chinese takeaway, I love their Capital spare ribs and chicken chow mein.

Worst food I've had from there. The ribs were that dry I needed a drink so I could swallow, the prawns were like rubber in my chow mein. Wouldn't recommend unless you want prawn crackers.

Shame they only do cash payments

Been using H.H. for 18 years after being recommended when we moved into our new home. Not one bad meal yet.

Hasland house is seriously the best Chinese by far in chesterfield the combo box is amazing value, if you don't like something they will swop it for something you do like, Foods always red hot when it comes, staff and delivery drivers are all so lovely. I've tried other places but doesn't come close to this place.

I lived in Calow and used this take away a lot the best I have ever had I now live in derby and to be absolutely honest they can’t touch this place think I move back to chesterfield

Had Chinese from here last night Prawn toast was burnt Prawn crackers were rubbery and tasted old Springs rolls was burnt Everything tasted has it had been fried to death would not order again.

Had a salt and pepper box for Saturday night, looked like it had been reheated, chicken wings stale, ribs where black, tasteless as the only few chillies where in a pile underneath, hardly any garlic just all thrown together. The only thing fresh was 3 chicken balls, obviously didn't have any to reheat. Anyway that's me done going there if they have the nerve to serve that up then anything's possible.

Very Disappointing. We ordered 4 dishes for collection. Bean sprouts and noodles, beef in black bean sauce, mushroom fried rice, and mushroom curry. Every dish without exception was: Over Salty Tasteless Under Cooked Greasy Overwhelmed by cheap peas and onions. We are at the point of giving up trying to find a quality Chinese Takeaway in Chesterfield

Excellent food politeness and well maintained

Best chinese food I’ve eaten for a while , better than The Chopsticks down the road. I especially liked the set meal for 4 and whole duck, it was delicious.

The fella on phone is aggressive and messes up order then blames you!!! Horrendous experience! Ordered here since moved to Hasland 5 years ago lovely people on phone until tonight! Embarrassing when family visiting from London!!

I love eating here! Food was delicious and given at a reasonable time. I highly recommend fried rice with satay sauce with a side of chips and s&s sauce. A match made in heaven.

This take away is on point every time food is consistently beautiful lovely phone service too i nearly always order same thing and i would recommend getting a beef chowmain with green peppers added in plus sweet chilli chicken toped off with the house platter chips chicken balls and egg fried rice

We order from here every week. We have tried many of the ther chinese takeaways in Chesterfield but Hasland house is always the best. Great food and service.

Quick delivery. Only ever had one meal that wasn't on par...that was along time ago tho & have ordered from there since with no complaints. We all have an off day 🙃

First time ordering from here, we were not disappointed, food was hot, portions are more than generous and they're definitely not tight with the sauce!! Was all gorgeous.

Always loved this takeaway and the past twice it’s been below average from the times before however I thought I would give it another chance.....sorry but chewy beef, prawns were rock hard and the rest of the takeaway was so bland I had to add my own soy sauce! Hate to say it but I’ve thrown the menu away and won’t be ordering again 🥺

I’ve lived in chesterfield for 13 years, and always used Hasland house, and never in all that time ever had a bad meal. I only need to say hello and they know it’s me just by voice lol. Excellent food, and delivered in very quick time. I do know most by their first name, a very friendly nice family, and also Tony who works there. And Tony knowing my address just by my Hello. It also says a lot that my eldest daughter who lives in Rotherham was stopping in derbyshire about 15 miles away and insisted her and her husband call for one and take it back to where she was staying, and she can be fussy, but loves the well cooked food and menu on offer. I do hope the family read this, and if so I live at number 36 and know you will know who I am on this review.

Would be a zero but it will not allow, ordered quite a lot of food for a few of us, rice cooked over again, stale cold chips, absolutely awful food, rang to complain and the response was, well you know what to do, don’t come again!!!! Disgraceful, avoid at all costs.

This is one of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever tried. And the service is outstanding, too. Maybe it's not the cheapest takeaway but most definitely the food they serve is worth the money. I want to take the chance and thank the owners and all who work there.

Eldest birthday so we ordered a takeaway from here. The food came in very good time and was plentiful...and tasty. We ordered a range of food and indeed as usual ordered too much so we had the pleasure of two evening meals for the price of 1. Very good value for money.

Definitely the WORST Chinese I've had, all I could taste was the onions and once I had taken them out there was no taste at all and the chicken was a vile texture, I resorted to eating the burnt prawn crackers so I felt as though I hadn't wasted too much money. Delivery was earlier than they said, at least that was a plus

Placed an order for delivery. After 2 hrs 15 mins had not arrived. Called again to be told not been cooked and thus not left. Cancelled order. Will not use again.

Decided to have a treat in this lockdown period with my wife, found out the shop was open so ordered a big order at 6.30pm and was told an hours wait, thats bearable in this time of self isolation i thought, thought i cannot wait for this, order arrived at 21.45, 3 hours and 15 mins, we tried to ring the shop as an enquiry as when, how long etc but no answer 110 times on my wife’s mobile, i sent the man away saying that its a un professional attitude , in these times we expected a wait, but the greed of taking orders in which they cannot cope with and then turning up at my door 3 hrs and 15 mins later without a care in the world, i will NEVER use these again ever, its disgusting and greed from the shop by accepting too many orders than they can cope with

Reasonably priced and excellent food, this Chinese takeaway delivers locally. I recently had visitors staying from Norfolk and they were amazed at the quality of the food.

We have tended to get our takeaway from here the last few times. We dont do this often as its not overly healthy to eat this sort of food often, but as a treat delicious! What I would say is that we had sweet and sour dishes and I had a related type of dish but with a different sauce and to be fair you couldnt tell which sauce was which. All in though not a bad Chinese take away and they deliver which is good.

We found the take away service to be easy, affordable and efficient with a polite delivery person. The food was hot and the prawn crackers melted in the mouth. I have no complaints although my partner felt the sauces in the dishes were all the same, so added teriyaki and hoisin. Saying that, it was all eaten. We'll be returning when we can't be arsed going out, or cooking!!

Their food was very fresh and my family loved it. The service was very good too and delivered quickly.

Had sweet and sour last time,and the batter was awful,really hard,so this time went for the crispy beef in chilli,it was that hard it was like eating pork scratchings,the salt and pepper ribs were the same,won't be using again,felt like it was a total waste of money

To be honest I wasn’t quite sure about this restaurant at first seeing the bad comments, but they are so wrong! The thing is I guess, people would only write a review if they think it was really bad, if it was good most people wouldn’t bother. I would definitely advice you to go and try it yourself, it is DELICIOUS

The food here is amazing. It is cooked and delivered well within estimated delivery time. Prices are spot on. Definitely recommend

We called in for the first time at 5.30pm on Saturday night. The phone was constantly ringing with orders so it is very popular. However, we can't see why. Our food wasn't even average. There was plenty of it (e.g. you only need one rice between two), but the quality was not there. Will probably try somewhere else next time we fancy a Chinese.

I am a loyal regular to this establishment and have takeaway 1-2 times per week.

Tasteless greasy and not exactly cheap at £17 for 3 dishes , wouldn't recommend or return , on the plus side was hot and delivered in good time

We were really worried about using this takeaway (because of the other only review) but we tried it and o my goodness it was beautiful, hot and came very quickly considering the order was for 10 of us. Southwood chase

Very busy so thought it must be good...how wrong can you be? Maybe we ordered things they don't do well but it was awful. I had Chicken with bean shoots in oyster sauce and it was...bean shoots on the bottom, chicken chunks and oyster sauce spread on top in globby lumps...I could not eat it. My husband had chicken chop suey and says it was the worst he has ever had and we binned the lot.
