Food fabulous delivery time appalling

Egg fried rice in clumps, got told it's because it's late at night, and the rice is sticky. Oh so I pay good money for my food and you can't cook it right. And she was laughing when she gave her feeble excuse.

Without a doubt this is the best Chinese takeaway in Chesterfield !! Tried other venues during the lockdown and all I can say is, I am very glad the Diamonds is now open again. The food is always excellent, well done for keeping up this very high standard in difficult times.

1 star that being generous, for simply fast service. The food itself... Terrible. Chicken chow main was slimy in texture and the chips, hard, oily and tasteless. As for the curry sauce it was watery. Will never be order here again. Waste of money and time.

My favourite Chinese takeaway. I've been a customer for at least 6 years now. Always perfect every time. During the lock down I tried else where once as they were closed and no other place will ever beat the amazing service, food and prices New Diamond have to offer. Very fatty meat, rice is rather bland and sauces sickly. Not bad but not exceptional.

Ordered from here on many occasions and food has always been fantastic so will keep going back. Delivery can sometimes be slow but other than that I cannot fault a thing.

Food is very sub-standard. Chow mein dry as a nun. Crispy chilli beef is disgusting. I'm sorry this Chinese takeaway is gone downhill and I Advise anyone to go somewhere else.

I have fibromyalgia and always get ill from Chinese due to MSG. I thought I would try this place and I am so glad I did, it was fantastic!! Lovely food and never made me ill.

This was honestly the worst meal I've ever had. It was inedible. The noodles were uncooked; hard like in the packet, with slivers of mushed-up carrot and grey bean-sprouts. The prawns were chewy and undercooked, in powdery, bitter gravy. The squid was hardly there, cold, synthetic tasting, with anemic batter. This is the most horrible, undercooked, tasteless, greasy food I have ever seen.

The only place I have Chinese food from have been having deliveries and collections from here for over 5 years

Disappointed food terrible. Chips and chicken dry , shrivelled and warmed up. Noodles barely any beansprouts, mashed up !! Curry sauce , congealed. Won’t be order again.

The ribs were awful, unless you like sucking on bone. The mains being so typical and tasteless very poor quality. I wouldn’t go back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place!!!

First time tried this chinese takeaway, certainly wont be the last. Excellent food & friendly service. 1st class !

The food itself is fine but the waiting time for delivery is a bit all over the place to say the least!!!. I'm told 40 minutes then it ends up being an hour, then another time told an hour but it's close to an hour & a half. But frustrating really, easpeally as there's quite a lot of competition around. If they sorted out the delivery side of things a bit better then it would be bang on.

Ordered the soup which was tasteless. However the noodles were rubbery with no taste, the crispy chilli beef was very soggy and not nice. The salt and pepper ribs were horrible with no salt on. And the kung po chicken was not crispy at all. Even the prawn crackers were done wrong. Probably the worst Chinese I've ever had.

The only reason I marked this takeaway as 4 instead of 5 is because they don't allow dogs. The kitchen is nowhere near the serving area and so I really can't see why they are excluded. Having said that the food was nicely cooked, the portions were generous and a meal for three plus one extra dish served five of us with food to spare. Tasty and reasonably priced.

we called in after having not been for a while, the food still excellent. cooked very quickly, and of very good quality at a very good price. great local take away in chesterfield and they deliver as well.

First of all i found a massive dirty hair in the food followed by boxes of slimely dog food, rather fist my dog than eat from here again .

There are 2 other take always close by, but this one us by far the best. Only negative is my husband loves the Chinese dumplings, and they do not have them on the menu. Food great value and quality, staff are very polite.

Absolutely appalled. Placed my order over an hour ago waiting expecting food instead I get a phone call saying they dont want to cook my £45 order! Disgusting customer service couldn't even give me a reason why! We order off them weekly and have never phoned up to complain if we have had a bad experience we have put it down as a one off never phoned to moan. Just annoyed they left us an hour before phoning to cancel! Shocking..

Excellent food and value for money. out of the 3 near where I live, this one is by far the best. Never had a bad meal, good choice and friendly staff. They deliver too, but always prefer to colkect oursrlves.

Fried rice is boiled rice and lacks soy and toasting. Lacks measured seasoning. Veg coarsely preped for the meal. Average overall food experience

went to new diamond chinese takeaway and was met by plesant staff who quickly took my order. my order was freshly cooked unlike some chinese takeaways i ate from in the past and the air of the takeaway was filled with the smells of spices and cooking meals which made my mouth water,the order came within 10 mins of placing it and i was given a portion of free crackers as well. the emal itself was delicous and i would recommend this resturant to other eater as i feel it is one if not thee best one in chesterfield i have eaten from as yet.

Had a good mixed take away for my daughters birthday all great tasting food and already at time to pick up.
