Very busy and clearly short of staff, had to wait an hour for mains. But food was great and staff friendly. The place is looking a little tired and in need of some TLC overall we were happy. Additional , so sorry to see this sight has suffered an terrible fire and is totally destroyed. Hope you get to rebuild soon.

Unfortunately closed for foreseeable future due to large fire. Had some lovely family meals and breakfasts in this place and it will be missed.

The service here is pretty good 👍. So is the food.

The food was so amazingly warm the place set alight! On a serious note whoever set it to temporarily closed instead of permanently is a madman!

Popped in for breakfast this morning, unfortunately the chef burnt the sausages along with the rest of the building.

Unfortunately this place has had a really bad fire and has been burned down to the ground.

I ordered a rare steak this morning. It came out more than well done. In fact, I'd say it was burnt. Nice atmosphere next to an open fire though 👍🏼

Awful , service non existent ,no waitress service, tables filthy,salad bowl filthy had to ask for bowls for salad ,went got menu and knives and forks from station , floors greasy and slippery as Im on sticks ,food 2/3 running in grease , so sad as was a special trip with a poorly friend , so disappointed did't stay for pudding .

Would be 5 star had it not been for the fact they have run out of chicken a number of times I've visited here. Last night they also had smothered my sons chicken in pepper so he couldn't eat it. (never had this issue before) Other than that it's always good service and food!

Came here today staff were quite rude and had a no can do attitude I get it's busier due to it being the holidays but there's no need for rudeness and being short with customers. Food was overcooked and just wasn't overall a great experience

Staff good, food generally good, reception person was miserable with a face like thunder, no welcoming greeting whatsoever . Overcharged and have phoned 3 times and left a message but nobody wants to contact me back. Poor show having just spent £130

Whilst the service was good and the staff friendly, the place was simply too busy, so everything took ages. Plus, as is becoming normal for my trips to Harvester, they got my order wrong. But it was still tasty and they were apologetic and even took it off the bill when I queried it. Oh, and it's a shame parking isn't free there.

Got there at just after 12 and got seated immediately and food cam realy quick and was v nice The chicken was fresh and juicy 😋

Service ok but food was not good quality, the place is very tired and scruffy, toilets were dreadful, whole place in need of a complete refurbishment

My steak came out with mostly fat and a few of the people I was with their food was cold and chewy and when they brought my new steak out it was another chewy and cold one. Won’t be coming again 🙁

Manager/ fella on the door was a bit stuck up and tried to make me feel like he was doing me a favour by finding me a table in an hour. I would have given this a much lower rating but the waitress was absolutely fantastic. Like every retail experience it's all about the people. If all the staff were that good I probably wouldn't have noticed it was grubby and tired with bread rolls on the floor.

Greater must have had a long, tiring day. As the very welcoming and seemed like it was an issue to find a table. The place must have been very busy in the day as lots of food on the floor and tables needing clearing. However, despite the ladies' loos looking like a crime scene, what with yellow and black tape across one toilet and the floor covered in bits of loo rolls. Are waitress Amber saved the day her polite happy nothing was to much trouble attitude won us over hands down. The food was good. The place definitely needs some TLC. Many of the lights did not work bench seats, and chairs were ripped. The salad bar needed topping up and looking after a little more. However, after saying all this, the food was good and the price was right

The server was lovely, apologised as we had to wait a while before our order was taken. Salad bar was stocked up well and unfortunately the pepsi max pump was not working as this is what we usually have when we visit. But it did not stop us enjoying our visit, the food was hot and delicious. I'm not sure if they have had a change in management, but it all seems to be running alot smoother than it did a while back.

Had a really good meal with my wife and elderly Dad before heading off to the Windmill Cinema. Food was good but what made it was our waitress, Tash, who was really excellent and looked after us so well.

Right on the beach front with the typical Havester menu and very helpful friendly staff.

Kitchen not available. They did not think on their feet. I suggested still open the salad bar and some people will stay.

Waste of time. Stood 5 minutes waiting for a table on a quiet night. Eventually walked out. They don't deserve my money!

Very slow service I had gammon steak which comes with chips peas tomatoes onion rings but actually got no tomatoes no onion rings never did get the onion rings and they had run out of tomatoes, also no jacket potatoes,.9 pm they came and told us no hot dessert as the kitchen had a power failure. I don't think so because all lights on and extractors going, I think they want to clean up. And at 10 we were told they were closing. We had a croup of 15 we won't be going back. Service worst I seen.

Prices were very reasonable. Unlimited toast available for breakfast. Breakfast menu had lots of options. Scrambled eggs weren’t the best next time I would opt for fried or poached. Everything else was delicious and cooked well. Service was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Well located right on the beach with a huge car park which offers all day parking for £12.

Booked a table this evening, table not available then turned away although bar completely empty, manager said food cannot be served in bar area but I have seen food served in that area every single time I have been there before, when I told the manager I will be complining he said go ahead, terrible service for our local harvester lost all of our custom after going for so many years!

Most menues were unavailable. Unable to answer the available menues. Very rude and unpleasant behaviour from the waitress. Disappionted. Very bad service.

James our waiter was fantastic, friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble and remembered the children's names. He got my friends boy, 7.5, involved to order from the tablet as he was having a meltdown and James quickly calmed the situation. He made the kids feel like they were important too and asked them what they would like.

I like this havester as the service is always amazing, they regularly refill the salad bar and the bread rolls.

Absolutely ridiculous, not serving food in the garden on one of the hottest days of the year! That’s just pure laziness!! Absolutely disgraceful we had the dog with us so couldn’t even sit inside if we wanted to, only wanted a SELF SERVE salad! Absolute joke they have lost my custom! Used to be regular will never go again, just pure bad management and service

Avoid at all costs! Visited here over the bank holiday and I’m still in shock They are clearly understaffed - Managers were cleaning tables as customers sat down and the salad area was a mess with lots of cross contamination which was very unappealing on a hot summers day. The ice tray over flowing and had food residue around it… Management and staff attitude was awful - I think I could say maybe 2 staff members were helpful and had good customer service. You can clearly see there are tensions between the staff and the atmosphere was not nice especially for children. After waiting an 1 hour for our food order to be taken then a further hour wait of updates that our food would be ‘15 mins’ we decided to pay for our drinks and leave after seeing a table seated after us be given their food. We were then told our food was ready after just being told our food would be another 15 mins. Having young children in clear distress and hungry no apology was made. When trying to come to a resolution to the female manager she repeatedly shouted we was LIARS in front of other customers despite having a booking and still having to wait for our table to be ready and our order to be taken. There was absolutely no empathy or professionalism from management. I feel hurt and offended after my visit. Clearly further training is needed. Unacceptable behaviour from a well known establishment. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but seems from the reviews it is! Will never return. *****EDIT***** In response to the inaccurate owners comment I will be further contacting HR with video evidence of this incident including the word ‘Liars’ being used by a member of your management. Considering there is also CCTV footage I would have reconsidered that statement personally.

Had set 2 course lunch which was ok salad bar could have been better

Appealing staff, man with glasses and and broad lady taking reservations, saw them Mistreat a family and lie to them when I was two behind them in queue, left restaurant after witnessing this and won’t be using another harvester again

Refused table as said was booked and given to unbooked table of same people behind, when questioned got aggressive and told lies, modern day racism, they believed we was travelers and never wanted to give us a table when busy, will be taking this further

Horrific service and bad management! I’m not in littlehampton often but I defo won’t be revisiting here. Made our children wait 2 hours for food then called us liars in front of everyone when we had clear proof of our booking and arrival. Clearly understaffed for a busy bank holiday weekend but that shouldn’t be taken on paying customers!

We decided to take visitors for a meal ,never again ,on being seated the air conditioning unit started leaking water on us ,we were eventually moved to a table that was dirty and sticky ,went to the salad bar ,most of the containers were empty had to keep asking for them to be replenished ,eventually received our food ,bland ,tasteless ,the only good thing was our waitress ,the manager was walking around stepped over serviettes littering the floor,not picking them ,no apology for us having to move .We were embarrassed for taking our guests there ,NEVER, EVER will we go again ,we were disgusted !

More staff urgently needed. Poor staffing resulted in very bad service.

Under staffed staff looked miserable noo e asked if our food was ok and 4 out of 6 of us felt ill over night and the next we all ate chicken. Food was tepid but could not catch anyone's attention to let them know and ask for fresh. Will be making an official complaint

Truly amazing. James looked after us and could tell he wanted to make our experience special and he did. I never saw him stop running around and helping the staff and making the other guests feel welcome. Top bloke! We will be coming back just because of him.

I feel it has got a bit too pricey , for what is only Pub food

Toilets were disgusting,not cleaned, blood on disabled toilet seat informed staff behind bar. Table was supposed to have been cleaned bread roll left under table, dirty salad bowls given out, dirty glasses given out, bar staff rude and acted like everything was too much trouble. Daughter's Meal was so spicy she couldn't eat it, chosen from kids menu, told waitress to be informed yes all chicken is pre seasoned she is 9 you telle what 9 year old would eat a chicken breast smeared in pepper and spices. Will not be returning.

After serval texts (far to many may I say, 3 a day for 2 days!!) to remind me of the booking. We arrived 15mins early for our table but had to wait 20mins till it was ready. I had added on extra diners but when we arrived (even tho they confirmed the extra seat) it was not there. Went to the salad bar to discover there were loads of empty sections and had to ask serval times to get them to replenish them. We placed our orders and all came out together. The food was very nice. I had brought a birthday cake to be presented at the end of our meal......after waiting over 40mins and serval request from 4 different members of staff, I finally asked for the cake back (which was still in its box) and our bill!! So basically, poor service on entry, lack of salad choices at the salad bar, messy Toilets and slow service......so not happy!! We I'll not be returning!!!

It is a sea side pub .obviously takes a lot of wear. Staff were very busy but still managed to be pleasant.Finished our day very well.

Had take away as we had the our dog with us, and was allowed to sit in the garden which was very pleasurable on a lovely day. Food was superb, cooked properly for a nice change. We had Scampi chips and peas and Double Chicken stack burger. Staff very helpful, nothing a problem

Hadn't been to harvester for a few years due to covid. Was very disappointed to see the peppercorn sauce was no longer available instead I had the chicken gravy which was like watery broth!!

Fantastic experience, any time we come here. Food is spot on and is reasonably priced. Can get busy so best to book in advance. Have been served by Charlotte on a few occasions and she has always been very professional and courteous. Yesterday (Saturday 27th May) we could see she was rushed off her feet as the kitchen was taking a while to produce food. This left customers to pester the servers who quite frankly, were powerless to do anything as it wasn't their fault. Still though, Charlotte was lovely and despite everything, she remained calm and polite. She should honestly be recognised for her contribution to the company. A real credit to you guys in Littlehampton.

The music was to load. The service was bad as no one knew which tables were which. We had to ask 3 times for the table to be cleaned. We were brought someone's main course which was a single meal for a table of 4. And 2 minutes into desert they brought us another desert.

We sat down outside at a numbered table on nice hot afternoon. After heading inside we were informed no food is currently being served outside, it unpleasantly warm inside So we left. And went to east beach cafe much more welcoming.

Very busy, but the manager kindly managed to find us a table. I excellent, quick, friendly and attentive service by Dan. Food very good. Have booked again.

I'm astonished that this place has more than three stars. I expect that people who rate this place above one star usually get their meals from skips and dustbins. I'm not anti-harvester, but this one is the worst and should be burned to the ground.

Nice meal good friendly service on our visit there this evening. Lot's of families in at the time we went but did quietened down a bit later when less children in the restaurant. Good menu selection all though not as inexpensive as a harvester used to be the last time I used one approximately 3 year's ago. Food was really enjoyable and great dessert.

Person who seated us was so miserable, hosting probably not the best choice of career however our server was lovely if clearly under pressure. Service slow and food not hot, seats ripped and whole place a bit sticky and tatty.

Didn’t really want to give this a one star. Usually a regular visitor when we come to the beach but don’t think we will be going back anymore. When we arrived there was loads of dirty tables and we had to wait to be seated so they could clean the tables. No cutlery on the table.When seated we was waiting to be served when a member of staff who was serving the table next to us walked away from their table and through a tray and huffed off. 20 minutes later we still had not been spoken to about taking our order. The guy who came back after throwing his tray said someone will be over in a minute. 5 minutes later the same guy came back to take our order. Took our order and was fine then came back with pasta bowls for the salad bar. 15mins later our drinks arrived after people who arrived after us got their drinks first. When our food arrived only three plates arrived when there was four of us, told the waiter he said they didn’t have enough hands. Next thing you know they are taking food to another table and we was still missing food. So made a comment and 10mins later the final plate arrived. Food wasn’t up to scratch as the steak flatbreads was cold and fatty. Chips on all our plates were cold. Once finished just wanted the bill to leave as took our business elsewhere for dessert. Poor standard held by all members of staff including managers on our visit. We have to use harvester as they offer gluten free but will find other beach restaurants that are at a better standard to give my money too.
