Lovely food , excellent service from Nikki, Sandra and Steven.

Had lunch today with a friend and my newborn baby, we were served by Sandra, who was accommodating for my pushchair, also friendly and welcoming.

Staff welcoming & good service especially from Nikki, food was fresh & hot. Overall an enjoyable experience & will likely return

Been here many times. As usual some of the items weren't available on the menu and no rolls at the salad bar. Great service as usual. Staff very hard working

On arriving to the harvester I saw a photo on the wall of a mouthwatering looking large beef short rib with mash,long stem broccoli,gravey and peas so I ordered this it came out on a mini plate (saucer sized) with one mouthful of meat on a tiny dry fatty meat microwaved micro size mash and a few peas this meal was £17.99 frozen broccoli bought out in a bowl after My partner ordered a rib eye steak from £25 which was band and cold Asked to spk to the manger but he couldn’t come We will not be returning We wasn’t offered any compensation for the terrible food and experience Terrible food (size and taste and definitely well overpriced for the quality)

Great Harvester ! The food was lovely and the wait staff were speedy and friendly.

My daughter Amber and my sons and I had a meal in the Harvester Hockliffe and were served by a young man called Mason. He was excellent! Polite, well mannered and nothing was too much trouble. He had a lovely manner when serving and was helpful and polite. He is a true credit to the restaurant and a lovely young man.

Popped in for breakfast the other day and found the food and service was very good, especially my waitress Lou who was very good as always

Oh no. The service was terrible. When they eventually took our order, we had to ask. Then we had to ask for salad bowls. Then we had to ask for knives and forks. The girl brought 3 glasses for refillable soda and a 7oz glass full of ice for a bottle of Doombar. We said we didn't want the ice so she tipped it on her tray and ganded the glass back. When the food eventually arrived, my wife's crispy cod taco's were cold. My wings, ribs, and chips were all cold, too. Horrible will not go back there.

It's a Harvester! We both had the chicken and ribs. Portion was decent but both were well overcooked with the chicken skin in particular blackened! Consequently, both meats were dry. They are not cheap now so could/should do better. Ok, but would not rush back.

First time visiting from Sweden. Just had breakfast but was surprisingly pleased. Good service, food was served fast and freshly prepared. Not to expensive for the big portion even though it was breakfast. If any constructive critisizm is to be given, do not drench the pancakes in syrup, even though i loved it. Cant wait to try the lunch and dinner. Many thanks

Lily was very polite and went about her work quickly, making everything arrive to our table, in no time at all. The food is excellent value for money and arrived well presented. Good job will be returning soon.

My friend and I decided to have lunch at the Harvester, after a great morning at Ikea. We were very comfortable with the atmosphere in the restaurant, and also with an amazingly competent and friendly Sarah, who did everything to make our meal one of the best we've ever had in a Harvester. Even though we live a long way away, we have decided to come back as soon as we can. Thank you so much, Sarah.

Had dinner last night for our daughter’s birthday. Everything was great but what really stood out was the amazing service from a lady named Sarah. It’s the first time I have seen Sarah and she could not do enough for you, she went above and beyond and I had to tell her this. Really hope we get Sarah again looking after us on our next visit 10/10 x

A spur of the moment family meal. When we arrived we were pointed to a table rather than seated, which meant that for the first 20 minutes we had no menus. It was a very busy night in the restaurant. Our starters arrived on a tray and were placed in the middle of the table for us to help ourselves and the waitress disappeared. Unfortunately, a couple of the starters were wrong and with no waitress, did I mention it was a busy night, we had to wait for them to be changed. I think the main part of the meal was OK but the salad bar was mostly devoid of any fresh produce and most of the containers were empty so don't book a late sitting.

Beef was not done the way I ordered it

Never had a bad meal or service. We often visit to catch up with friends as it's equal travel distance for us both. The service is great, very friendly staff. The salad bar is always well stocked even during the busy times. Menu selection is good, ribs are great but I'm a big fan of the pork belly. Good parking on site with easy access.

We've been here a number of times over the past twenty years or so and it's been through some ups and downs. Nowadays, it's certainly "up". It's clean and well kept with friendly staff at the front of house. Food is great quality and portion sizes are very generous. Prices are good with us spending £54 for two people, two courses. That included two pints of Spanish beer. Midweek, lunchtime and it was very quiet, I would imagine weekends are noisier and busy with families. The bar area is inviting and comfortable too if you're just passing for a coffee and a snack.

Our waitress was great, we understand that the food served to us wasn't under her control and she tried genuinely to do what she could, she'd have gotten you a 10 but the food let you down terribly. We've been to loads of harvesters including this one previously. The worst food we have had there. Didn't help that we could see one of the chefs in the carpark smoking. Habits are habits but at least hide. We had 2 of the platters, they were sent back because the chicken was so hairy?! Do you not burn/pluck them during prep?? Or is someone not doing their job? One wing was literally on the verge of flying it was so hairy. The steak was sooo dry and almost chalk like. Both were overcooked but after sending the chicken back we weren't going to then wait for steak to be redone also. We could actually see that the chicken wasn't fresh, they just pulled off the feathers so we still didn't eat it. Waste of money. Salad bowl was the highlight tbh and you don't even pay for that. Glad I had a discount code as to pay for that would have been ridiculous & I believe we shouldn't have had to pay at all but our nan was with us and fuss was not necessary. Apologies I don't remember the waitresses name but her top and bottom lashes stood out as I wondered how she got her bottom lashes so perfect!

All the sauces were lovely. Good salad bar. Good range of drinks. Great meat. Good service. Great family restaurant.

It was okay, very busy. No parking spaces whatsoever which is a bit ridiculous so we were late in waiting for a space to park the car. The restaurant car park should be big enough to cater for the seating capacity of the restaurant. Service was slow but expected because of how busy it was, food took way over an hour. Stood at the doorway of the restaurant for 6 minutes waiting for someone to come and seat us.

Food served cold and chicken was dry and tough

Service was really poor took an hour our food to be cooked. We had to ask for our to be put in a takeaway bag big disappointment

We were made to feel very welcome by our food server Jodie, she was very happy and smiley and nothing was too much trouble for her. She had a difficult table next to us that complained about their food but actually devoured the whole lot which was a bit strange to say the least. Maybe regulars at looking for discounts or freebies. Our meals were hot and delightful and served in no time at all considering the restaurant was busy. We opted for the new wings and wave combo and would highly recommend. The new glazed choux bun was scrummy and the mini banofee waffle and latte were nice. With the new general manager in situ I am sure this place will thrive. Good luck, Steven, and the team....see you again soon!

Not a great Harvester experience, limited options on famous salad bar, food below average, beer flat, and not good value for money. Serving staff lovely and tried hard to please. Probably wont visit again.

The service was excellent. Staff were lovely, knowledgeable & ready check any queries we had. I appreciated the dairy free options on the dessert menu. An additional option rather than just 2 choices would be an improvement. But I’m not complaining. Food was great too. Tasty & hot. Great job, well done.

Great service food was cooked perfectly

I ordered chicken skewers with satay sauce, unfortunately the sauce wasn’t very nice. Satay sauce didn’t taste like satay sauce (it’s nut free) They happily exchanged my meal for another without any fuss and a smile. Out waitress was lovely and was extremely helpful.

The salad bar can be a bit hit and miss but the menu food is lovely

Food was ok a little overpriced for what u get £16 for a small chicken breast and one slice of bacon handful of chips. Young lady who served us was great use to go all the time but can get value for money elsewhere

Came here for the breakfast with santa and the breakfasts were all cold. Have come here for dinner before and is always lovely but breakfast was not good

Portions were smaller then some

Arrive at the harvester did not book a table but they got us in and we had chicken skewers. Car parking is free and location is on site. The toilets are located inside the property gentleman toilets at bar area womens are toward the entrance of property, friendly staff... great location for a stop off from the A5 towards Milton Keynes and Woburn. Family friendly great food.

We have had bad experiences at OTHER harvesters, so decided to give this one a try. All I can say is this Harvesters is the best ever, from the staff at the reception giving a really friendly welcome to our waitresses Nikki & Sandra who were very friendly and attentive. We went at 6pm on a Friday so a busy time but this was no issue for them. We will definitely be back

Please be aware that you do not have the buffet option for breakfast. Service was better than some high-end restaurants. Breakfast was the worst. Burned sausages, cold baked beans, and cold fried tomato ( just 1 slice). All in one, very poor breakfast, gives Harvester a bad name.

After reading the reviews I must have been somewhere else because the food we had this evening was terrible. The salad bar was bare the rolls were dry and the simply chicken( reconstituted chicken watery and rubbery) was served before we had finished the salad starter. So the chef managed to cook 2 jacket potatoes char grilled chicken and broccoli with peas in about 10minutes...Not good!!

Yet again, what a lovely meal. Sandra and Nikki looked after us so well as they always do. They are so genuinely nice, and their kindness adds to our pleasure of coming to this Harvester

Family friendly, good service, delicious food - love the salad bar and my kids actually eat the salad.

Absolutely shocking experience. Walked in and was faced with 5 dirty uncleared tables, we were seated at a table with food splattered all over the walls and sweetcorn squished into the seats, dirty glasses, bowls and cutlery. Didn’t stay to see what the food was like as they couldn’t give us clean utensils we were worried about the state of the kitchen area

When we arrived, we noticed that there were about six or more tables left uncleared, still piled with dirty plates. We assumed they were busy and didn't think much of it. After being seated, we immediately noticed how dirty the table and nearby walls were. Our waitress, who was very friendly, took our order, but when our drinks arrived, we saw that the cups were sticky and dirty. Soon after, a different waitress brought us cutlery, which also turned out to be dirty. The final straw was when our salad bowls arrived, and they, too, were unclean. I spoke with the waitress, who was apologetic and quickly brought us clean bowls and cutlery. However, by that point, we had already decided to leave. It's unfortunate that this happened because it could have easily been avoided. While this might have been a one-time issue, I truly hope the kitchen, where food is prepared, is held to higher cleanliness standards. Sadly, we won’t be returning to this Harvester branch.

What a lovely restaurant! Nikki was an exceptionally good waitress and nothing was too much trouble. I didn't feel rushed and Nikki checked periodically that my group were OK but not too frequently we felt pressured. Would return again for the lovely food and excellent service.

They do not accept dogs. At other Harvesters, we could easily bring our dog in and eat a meal. They are losing a lot of customers..

Struggled to get a phone booking, (albeit in the hour previous to the time we wanted) as the system just kept saying 8pm is not available but we have a space at 8pm. Gave up and managed to get through to a lovely lady who was clearly rushed off her feet and agreed to get us in around 8.15, which we were really grateful for after a long days travelling and an hour still to go. Arrived to find the car park rammed, clearly need extra spaces, took 3 rounds of going off and on the premises to find a space. Got seated and the one of our starters had an ingredient which we asked to be left out, due to time and busyness hubby said he'd manage around the issue. My steak was pretty much half gristle, again decided with time not on our side to keep quiet. Staff were lovely, but overall impression will keep us from visiting again.

Went for a girlie meal out with friends but a lovely spot for families with the help yourself salad bar. Vouchers are available from groupon too so look out for those, makes it cheaper otherwise youll end up paying somewhere in the regions of £25/30 a head which is ok if its just 1 or 2 but if your taking the family.... The food is pretty much on par with a beefeater so thats the sort of food your getting but its tasty and hot. Portions are fair and healthy and veggie options available plus kids menus are provided.

Amazing meal tonight. Atmosphere was so welcoming and warm.the new menu has a fantastic amount of choice. And the meals and salad bar was fresh and prepared beautifully. Thankyou to our server, Matt, and the team for a lovely evening.

The waitress that served me and my partner, her name is Sandra, her customer service was absolutely brilliant, one of the nicest waitresses I’ve ever come across, she was kind, extremely helpful, polite and made us feel very comfortable where we were. I’d highly like to give her a massive praise and say thank u so much Sandra you went above n beyond to make sure our experience was top notch and u delivered over the mark so thank you so much we will definitely be coming back soon!!!

Had a booking for 12 today! Every single person we spoke to was fantastic!! Food was great quality! The best harvester I’ve been to they couldn’t have been more helpful! Fantastic experience! We will definitely be coming back!

I had previously posted a 5 star review a few Years ago, but had to delete to repost a new one. We came in as a loud group of 17 for my daughter's 18th Birthday, and was blessed with having Kirsty as our host. We couldn't have asked for more! Thank you so much for making her Birthday an enjoyable and memorable experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.
