Brilliant meal great service from josh

Our server, Joss was a star and he made sure we were recompensed when our order was delayed. There was a lovely open fire but it was still chilly in the bar area. The menu is extensive and the food excellent.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, festive menu in place but they had run out of turkey! The main thing most people would want during the festive period. To not have a main ingredient at 2:30 in the afternoon is unacceptable. Service was poor, very slow and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. Salad bar was half empty, I mentioned this to the waitress and it took half an hour to refill it. Had to have chicken as there was no turkey, the chicken was dry. Had to ask for gravy as the waitress forgotten to bring it out. The pig in blanket that came with the roast was old, overcooked, as if it had been sat being kept warm all day. Other tables near to me were complaining too about the same things. I appreciate the Harvester isn't a Michelin Star restaurant, but the standards here have dropped considerably over the years, and I'd still expect a better experience than the one I had. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Very understaffed, they were marvellous considering how busy they were, we were there from 12.30 to 4pm, nearly an hour between courses, wrong orders, badly cooked (burned etc) items missing off plates.

Food - disgusting: Ordered pancakes with bacon Pancakes were small flat and stodgy, the bacon was not streaky and also not crispy enough. Overall - terrible. My Partner had poached egg which looked really unappealing and he said they tasted like they had been cooked in a dirty pan.

No heating and the food was rubbish!

Won't be coming here again anytime. Coffee was cold and when sent back to be warmed up came back tepid not hot. On the third attempt we finally got a hot coffee. Salad bar was not stocked and coleslaw very grey looking, had to ask for new dressings as all were empty...waited ages but gave up waiting in the end leaving salad on side. No bread rolls available...asked but not restocked by time I walked away. Bottomless refill , several of the drinks weren't available. Although the ribs came piping hot the same couldn't be said for the chicken. Our waitress was very good with a nice smile. She was made aware of my gripe and apologized profusely for things outside of her control. We've eaten here from when it first opened but will now unsubscribe to emails and offers as nothing will get me back here again.

Great restaurant - easy to book table online. Jenny was our waitress - she was lovely - very friendly and very customer focussed - she really made us feel welcome. We will visit again soon.

Table booked for 3 for 17:30. Upon arrival, we were advised that the meals would take longer than normal as they had problems with their kitchen screens. Drinks and meals were ordered - Triple Combo, Ultimate Mixed Grill, and Mixed Grill. We then overheard that the gas had gone out in the kitchen and other tables were being given temporary menus, including all new customers. Meals arrived - Triple Combo missing hot honey corn bread, Ultimate Mixed Grill all okay but steak tough, Mixed Grill missing black pudding, flat mushrooms, onion rings. Mentioned to waitress and she returned with a bowl of these. Part way through this meal, also noticed it was missing the fried egg. The gammon steak was also overcooked and like shoe leather.

I have a food intolerance of gluten free, I'm surprised that when having the breakfast that I can't have the poached eggs and the waitresses don't know why, if as a restaurant you are doing breakfast for all why can't you do gluten free bread or rolls ?

Absolutely disgusting! I ordered a classic breakfast, they placed the plastic butter containers directly on top of the food that I was supposed to eat! Who knows where those containers had been lying before! When I asked the waitress if she think that's ok, she replied that it "absolutely normal" and nothing wrong with it. Truly shocking! Avoid this place.

Lovely dinner, shared the pork belly & combo deal and both were delicious. Our host Sarah was lovely and cheerful. However I ordered the Rocky horror Sundae and found a sharp piece of plastic in the desert which we later found out was from the tub of cream, a bit disappointed with the reaction to this.

Only problem we encountered is you need the QR code to order at the table so it was a bit of a problem but the staff are great so was sorted out at the tills

Niall cooked our food and it was cooked to perfection! so tasty! Amy brought our food out with a big smile and was helpful in getting us extra sauces and cutlery. Millie’s service was second to none! her knowledge about different drinks is incredible, she is a real asset to the company!

Disappointed. Saw on the menu for the first time, skewers! Looked yummy until I got it, the onion was larger than the chicken no red pepper and it was cold. The waitress was kind enough to get me some more chicken, husbands steak was ok, but we finished our meal and left.

Really, really busy due to what appeared to be very few staff, not heaps of customers. Was looking forward to gammon, but, couldn't find it on the menu. Opted for a skewer, I like.my onions well cooked so not the nest option for me, however I didn't tell the server about my preference so not their fault. The service was brilliant, Jenny didn't stop for a second, and was cheerful and helpful all the time. Jenny made our meal extra special and deserves a raise

Had an awful interaction with a young boy named Josh. I believe he was either a manager or worked in the kitchen however he was extremely rude and showed no respect at all. I hope the restaurant deal with this situation accordingly !!!! WILL NOT BE RETURNING

A much welcomed meal after a long day.

It was very busy due to a special offer, so the wait for food was a little bit longer than usual, but the burgers were great, the salad cart was all fresh and there were no queues for that or the refillable drinks. Our server was brilliant. Polite and friendly and she even gave us the bill early as we had told her we needed to leave soon for the afternoon school run. All in all a nice lunch.

Treated with a meal for the family, bit pricey, but the food was excellent, especially the steak I had, the chef Nial prepared everything, the fish and the chicken and afore mentioned steak to perfection, which we passed on to our table hostess Emily who made sure our vist was filling

So me and a mate when.here for dinner last night and the atmosphere was nice till the was kids running around constantly and being noisy. Our good was lovely especially the mac and cheese. It's was hard to try and get the attention on our waitress and there didn't seem to be any other staff checking on the tables as well as our waitress. She would go and do something and end up doing something else and we would have to wait to get her attention again Pudding was okay I'd probably say there was far too much ice cream and not enough brownie. We were also a little concerned about the length of the nails on the waitress hand. I went to the toilet and there were a complete mess there was loo roll all over the floor there was wet loo roll on the side of the sink.

Ordered food and drinks. Waited half an hour to be told our drink order was missing. Hour and still no food.. shocking service and unhelpful staff. Said they’re fully booked however, tables half empty. Food doesn’t take and hour to prepare

Food is good, better than other Harvester's in the area, we had a lovely waitress as well.

Out for a bite with the misses and youngest grandchild, great food, good atmosphere. And credit where it's due, our waitress (if allowed) Zara, only a young lady but, wow, what an appsalute credit to your brand 👏 not enough space to tell you about it all but the attention to detail, the friendliness and attentiveness was second to none, right down to swapping my 18 month old granddaughter's menu for a colouring book (without being asked by the way) just to keep her occupied while we ordered our food, and the way she dealt with which can only be distributed as a (Karen) convention ( 20+ ) of them just complaining about pathetic little things (like a bit of lettuce on the plate) among other trivial hacks to try and get discount, she just stayed calm, professional and friendly at all times. Her work ethic for such a young lady is incredible 👏.
