We stopped off for a coffee in the morning. It is really lovely inside and would like to try the food next time we visit.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent experience at Harvester Neptune was so disappointing, I feel compelled to warn others. What should’ve been a simple family meal turned into a lesson in vigilance—always double-check your order and your bill! What Went Wrong: Incorrect Order: We ordered grilled chicken, one portion of breaded mushrooms, and nachos. After a 25-minute wait (slow even for a busy night), we received: Grilled chicken (correct) Two portions of mushrooms (we only wanted one) No nachos (the item we actually looked forward to!) The Staff’s Shocking Response: The waitress admitted she’d entered two mushroom portions instead of nachos (her mistake, not ours). Yet, the manager insisted we pay for the nachos we never received, refusing to remove the extra mushrooms we didn’t order. Their logic? “The system can’t void items” (a pathetic excuse—every POS system has a correction function). Why This Isn’t Just About One Bad Meal: For Customers: This is why you should photograph your order slip and scrutinize bills. Had we not checked, we’d have paid for food we never got. For the Restaurant: Mistakes happen, but charging guests for your errors is unethical. A reputable business would’ve: Apologized sincerely. Comped the unintended mushrooms. Either made the nachos promptly or deducted them from the bill. Final Verdict: We’ve dined here before without issue, but this blatant refusal to right a clear wrong has lost our trust. Until management trains staff to take accountability (not punish customers for their mistakes), steer clear—or at least review your receipt like a hawk. Note to Management: A refund for the extra mushrooms would be a start, but what you really owe customers is better training and integrity. PS. Food was delicious that's why I didn't go for 1 star review.

Lovely place. Lovely staff delicious food and great salad bufet. If we will be in Bournemouth again thats the place where we will eat every day ❤️

Casia was a great waiter and the place was the cleanest Harvester I have ever been in

Booked a table for 7.45pm, arrived 6.15pm and had a couple of drinks, booked in at the desk at 7.40pm to be told there is an hours wait for food, do you still want to eat. When questioned the front of house’s attitude was well it is half term what else do you expect. We stayed as it’s our local, things only got worse, the salad bar was only half stocked, when questioned the front of house’s answer on two occasions was” well it is half term what do you expect”. After chasing up the waitress our food eventually arrived at 8.55pm, it was dry and over cooked, my well done steak was like shoe leather. My wife had scampi and was told sorry there is no tare tare sauce we have run out, luckily for her the waitress she did not say, “ it’s half term what do you expect.” Appreciate they were busy after all ‘it was half term’, but their attitude of take it or leave it was totally unacceptable. Being local it’s people like us that keep the place going during the winter months. They obviously knew it was half term, they told us enough times, so why not plan accordingly and make sure they have enough products in stock, it’s not rocket science. What annoyed us most was the take it or leave it attitude. It’s not good enough !!!

some staff are snobs and on top of that they serve you mouldy food !! EDIT: MAKE SURE to click on the picture completely instead of taking people for idiots. everyone knows what difference it is.

Decent breakfast but why is the music so loud ? Sunday morning all anyone wants is a quiet breakfast. Turn it down. It's not a nightclub.

Shannon served us, very attentive and helped us have a great meal. Chicken was a little over done making it hard to cut and eat. Rest of the meal was lovely.

Great food with a lovely waitress Eve.

Eve looked after us for our lunch and had a lovely time. Very relaxed and knowledgeable of what was on the menu. We will be coming back 😺

Was just here. We were waiting over 35 mins to be served and just walked to the bar paid for our drinks and left. 5/6 times the waitress asked the tables next to us if they wanted anything else and all of those times we tried to call her over. It was not worth it and that is the first time I have ever walked out of somewhere. If they read this I do think we should be getting money back for the pint of Stella and I regret paying anything. No apologies or anything. As a positive the pint was quite nice. But yeah that's unfortunate. For anyone thinking I am just someone who leaves negative reviews look at my previous ones.

Lovely atmosphere, Jordan showed us to our table and welcomed us in straight away, lady behind the bar was welcoming and chatty. Food was served quickly and hot. We had the tomahawk pork and the barbacoa burger, both were really good would have them again. Especially the pork, was cooked perfectly. When we arrived, we thought we were too early for lunch, but the head chef overheard us whilst doing his admin and helped us straight away and gave us lunch menus, and was also really welcoming.

The bar staff were absolutely lovely, special mention Abbie who was very polite and friendly towards us, love the referb as well

I love this pub. Abbie is so lovely and caring and its lovely to be by the sea!!!

4nd time coming to this establishment and yet again thrilled by the service. Only three people were working, but they still gave us amazing food and service even with a massive running group. Thank you Abbie for being a great person with a beautiful smile

Recently refurbished and very comfortable because of it. We had a very pleasant warm welcome as we entered and led to a beautiful table overlooking the beach 🏖️ and pier. Table service was very good just as the quality of food was - totally recommend the treacle sponge and custard 🍮 desert 😋 The whole experience was better than we expected. 👌

Excellent food and service. Accommodated for six of us (including a toddler) well, with smiles and patience. Eve, our server, was excellent.

It’s not fine dining but does what it said on the tin. We had great service too. We ate well for the cost.

The food was excellent and our new young server Shannon was a delight. And the refurbishment is excellent. My only complaint is the music is far too loud. It's a really big place so there's no reason why the far end couldn't be the quiet end

Haven’t been a harvester in ages. Arrive met with a friendly guy who was obliging and efficient followed by Eve our Waitrose who was so lovely, so helpful, cheerful, informative and a pleasant to have. Explained the different kinds of foods on the menu etc. lovely atmosphere, harvester was clean and tidy like the staff as well. Absolute pleasure

I was craving a sirlion steak and I was not disappointed it. It was delicious medium rare. I have on a walking holiday and passing through Bournemouth. Staff friendly from the general manager who seated me with a view if the sea to the man I initially spoke to when I arrived called happy feet I was told to the person who served me called Eve. Lovely food, service and atmosphere.

Quite busy when me & my partner arrived,sat outside for a drink 1st then got seated @ our table our server Josh was excellent & catered to our needs wile training a new starter ! food was great & come out to spec,hot & good quality my steak was cooked to perfection ! Far better than our previous visits to Harvester ( Cooper Dean ) which I don’t think we’ll go back there as very very good here & a great view as per ! Will be back.

Extremely overpriced and terrible service. A lady came over with our drinks which were already spilled all over the tray and then spilled each of the 3 drinks on our table leaking onto our shoes- no napkin was given to clean the spillages. I understand this is a place on the beach, but the prices for the quality of the food don’t match up. Will not be returning.

Half roast chicken was delicious. Lovely new decor and the staff are very helpful and welcoming, go above and beyond to help. Will definitely be back soon! Thank you

Lovely lady that served us, was very patient with my grandmother when switching the Tacos.

Absolute rip off - just asked for a half of lemonade and lime and was charged £3:45 ……so that’s £6.90 a pint !!! - no I was then informed it was only £4:40 a pint - lets rip off all customers that are having a small non alcoholic drink because they were driving - let’s see the response from the Harvesters management team on why the price is set at this level - smaller glass- smaller product half the time to serve same time to pay

A great place to eat with views overlooking the seafront and Boscombe Pier. Went in for a catch-up with my stepdaughter, and we were served by a new member of staff, Shannon. We received very good, attentive service within a lovely environment. Thank you, and we look forward to another visit in the future.

Thursday before Easter. Pretty busy. Reserved table. Waited 1hr 30 mins to get the mains which, when they did come were pitiful quality. Chicken dry. Ribs sauce less and burnt. Manager did offer to pay for our parking and a gave free round of drinks but overall a very disappointing experience. Won’t be back!

I love this venue the food is always good and reasonable being right on the beach front a special mention to the staff who are friendly and make you feel welcome im afraid I don't know all their names to mention but Ramya and the Sam have made us feel at home 😀

Super value food, great service from our waiter Josh and direct views of beautiful Boscombe beach from where we were sitting! Fantastic family dining experience. Rotisserie chicken was a standout along with the salad bar of course!

Sorry Sam (manager) didn’t think as a local for over a year I’d be writing this poor review based on your staff Josh throwing my pint over me after him & his GF enjoyed my extra food £40+ I ordered for the usual locals at table 115 - so disappointed with this disgusting behaviour after respectfully coming to this local place for over a year with local friends and experiencing no bad behaviour. It’s left me with no option to ever want to return to this place based on this staffs behaviour unfortunately. I don’t tolerate any disrespect of any nature and definitely don’t come out to receive it either especially when I’ve done nothing but be respectful to the people around me.

Me and my partner visited today for dinner with our two dogs one being a xl bully! All the staff was so kind towards are bully and even chopped up the extra chicken and sausages for the dogs! So pleased we got to have a lovely meal with our dogs with no discrimination towards our xl bully, thank you guys

Not been here for a long time. They have had a refurb and it looks lovely. Food was great and staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend! Ohhh and the lemon blizzard dessert is a must!!

A perfect place between piers to stop for a bite to eat. Panoramic views of the beach in an airy, modern environment. All staff were very friendly but a special shout-out to Abbie who was extra helpful. The food was good and the coffee was great.

Fantastic location, lovely meal served to us by Maw. Food was good, as would be expected from a Harvester. Maw was attentive without bring intrusive. A credit to the company. She had a fantastic career in hospitality ahead of her if she so desires.

Disappointing. The food is hit or miss, service can be slow, and the salad bar isn’t always fresh. On top of that, the beer is overpriced for what you get. Not the best value for money.

We came for Mother’s Day dinner, as a large family and Shaun was absolutely amazing with us. Considering we had such a big order he got everything spot on, lovely customer service and was polite and friendly xx

I have visited Harvester today. Unfortunately I haven't try any food as our order has been mixed and one of us didn't get what he ordered. We where waiting 1h 20 min for food and over 10 min to get drinks from the bar...sad as today is mother's day and that was a treat from my kids and husband...very unpleasant experience.

The refurb looks stunning,however whoever thought to put the slot machines where they live now is a moron. That said Ramya and the full team are fabulous, and always so professional. Always enjoy coming in for a cheeky drink before heading off to grown up responsibilities. A firm favourite for all of our family

Always come here as a local for a beer in the sun, but bought my daughter for her 10th bday on Wednesday the 9th August, out server Lewis was a legend, went out the way to make sure my kids were happy and a propper nice guy. Would recommend with family for food or friends for beer 😊 Also visited again today and I've got to say Ramya was amazing with her help and service and ensuring the children were happy with their food. Definitely the best Harvester in bmth and that's down to the staff.
