Went to my first choice harvester and my local one for breakfast to find out that they had NO baked beans, so onto my second choice horse and groom, Breakfast was a really nice would definitely go to the horse and groom again,

We got a warm welcome and a quick and friendly service here. It was a good place for us to meet as it catered for everyone in our group, some of us went for smaller meals and light bites and others taking advantage of the grill and desserts section, which everyone enjoyed.

Quite a nice chain pub/restaurant. Clean and tidy, friendly service. Our host Sydnie was extremely helpful and provided 5*+ service. The other staff we interacted with were also all very helpful and polite. Food was nice, nothing amazing tho.

Still remember them days when in Harvester pint of beer was £2, cherry tomatoes in a salad and duck on the menu... But them days are gone... now even salmon gone from the menu, we been told that we need to wait 30-40 min to get some chicken and you can't get mashed potato as a side any more... very sad... very-very sad...

Staff absolutely lovely as always BUT BUT BIG BUT the food today was terrible. Was either burnt or under cooked, my 4yo wouldn't even eat any of it only veg. I've grown tired on complaining and only go back when others think it's got better so we try again but AGAIN it failed us. It's a shame as it's a lovely restaurant with lovely staff and the salad bar is always the best bit . Tbh I think even our waitress knew something was off she didn't ask us if everything was OK and just asked about deserts whilst packing up 3 very full plates. I think I'm going to have to find elsewhere to wine and dine , one too many chances failed now :(

Food was very good but had barely finished salad bowl when mains were served. No time to rest between courses. Improvement on last visit as given plenty of time to eat salad bowl before mains were served.

Lovely dinner and very tasty. Our waiter Nathan was excellent. He was running a whole section alone, and was going the extra mile for everyone. He made our night!

Good atmosphere. Food a bit hit and miss but there are no arguments if you complain. They will either replace it or take something off the bill. I think when it's very busy the quality suffers slightly (food maybe not as hot as it should be). However overall it's usually enjoyable and good value. The staff are always helpful.

I recently visited Harvester Sidcup with my family, Our booking was for a table of ten at 7:30 pm. What a terrible experience. Upon our arrival at 7:29 pm, we were seated upstairs around 7:33 pm. Unfortunately, the service started poorly, as our waitress did not approach us for 15 minutes. We had to prompt her to take our orders, during which we informed her about our Groupon vouchers. I don’t think she was too happy that we were using vouchers. She mentioned that it will have to be done as separate orders which would result in staggered meal times, potentially taking 40 minutes to an hour and a half for each meal. Its not our first time eating at harvester or using vouchers so we knew this to be untrue, however she left to consult her manager about using the vouchers and then failed to return to the table to let us know if the vouchers will be accepted. After 10 minutes or so we noticed that she had returned back upstairs, but had proceeded to attended to other tables, and this also included seating another group and then returning to them to take their order. We were confused as she made no attempt to address the matter we had previously discussed so we were left not knowing what was happening. Frustrated, two members of our party spoke to the deputy manager, who confirmed we could use the vouchers for the entire table and confirmed that she had said this to her colleague over 15 mins prior to us going down to ask what was happening. We then requested another member of staff help us with our order, and the deputy manager assured us another staff member would serve us, things started to be better, but that was so short lived and to be honest we should have just left!! Second Incident Unfortunately, when our food began arriving, the initial waitress came back to attend to us and aggressively placed the dishes in front of our family she then rudely shouted loudly if we were okay with our food, This behaviour was inappropriate and disruptive. Third Incident After our meal, while waiting for dessert, the waitress started slamming cutlery into a draw behind our table, it was repeated continuously and was loud and aggressive in her behaviour this was particularly distressing for a party member with autism and sensory issues. Unable to tolerate the hostile environment, we decided to cancel our dessert order. A member of our party went downstairs to request the cancellation, and we spoke with the manager about our experience. Despite the managers apologies, the poor service had already ruined the birthday celebration. We left without receiving the service we paid for and were left with a deeply disappointing experience. We addressed this with management and also feel that it’s important that an accurate review of an experience is shared. The food wasn’t great at all, I’ve shared the pics of the food. I would’ve also shared videos of the woman’s mannerism but have left it out for this review. Yeah such an annoying and unnecessary incident!

I recently visited Horse and Groom for the first time to experience their breakfast offerings, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. I decided to try their Mediterranean brunch, and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding, with each dish bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that truly captured the essence of Mediterranean cuisine. The service was notably quick, ensuring that I didn't have to wait long to start enjoying my meal. What stood out the most was the staff's friendliness and attentiveness. They made me feel welcomed and were prompt in attending to any requests, enhancing the overall dining experience. If you haven't had the chance to try Harvest's breakfast, I highly recommend it. Whether you're a fan of Mediterranean dishes or just looking for a great breakfast spot, Horse and Groom is definitely worth a visit.

We went there for their breakfast. They used to have a buffet style breakfast, but now you order from a menu. They didn't have some of the options and also no gluten alternative as my father in law needs this.

Firstly the staff are lovely and really attentive and polite. This review is purely about the Harvester model and the produce the head office must supply them. Basically the food is awful. Really really bad. I get that its a Harvester and not Gordon Ramseys but i thought i would give it a go thinking it must have come along since the 90's (the last time i had been). Everything tasted like it had been frozen. The calamari was awful, rubbery and burning hot. The burgers we left half finished as the patty was solid and the weird hash brown on top was like mush. The Brioche buns were dry in the middle and cold. I was asked how i wanted my burger, which seems pointless seeing that its like cardboard anyway. The chicken skewer was tough and the veg not much better. The nacho starters were ok, but a lot of the nachos had gone soggy from the mostly tasteless watery toppings. We did do the salad bar, which was actually alright, probably the only ok part of the meal. We could have complained but we were so put off by the whole experience we just wanted to leave. I told the server when we sat down that we have a 25% discount on the app which she said she she would take at the end, we then ordered and when we went to pay were told that the voucher didn't apply to the menu we chose off........great. as mentioned the staff are great, but the place is so out of touch, charging people for cheap, frozen food that they could buy themselves from Iceland. Its also not the family style restaurant layout it used to have, its more like a Weatherspoons with a big TV showing sport and fruit machines which were right next to our table which was lovely. The sound of money being constantly pumped in and out along with the smell of the toilets really added to the experience. Never, ever again.

We ordered 2 meals & 2 desserts with a couple of drinks, the meals arrived hot, the salad bar had quite a good selection, and the desserts were good, we enjoyed the meal and would eat there again.

The food is really good and the salad option makes the entire meal interesting and very healthy (not to mention filling). Love that there's an option to sit outside on a rainy day and very cozy seating inside as well. I've been there twice now and both times it was easy to get parking, friendly staff and awesome food.

My food was cold and I had it delivered and it should have come 6:30pm and yet it came 7:15pm and it was poorly packed my sauce spilled all in the bag and wasted my money as I couldn't eat all of it as it was cold

Firstly, we were 30 minutes late and instantly were met with professionalism, kindness and care. We were served by a lovely lady 'Terrice' I believe her name was, all I remember is her ears were very sharp, she knew my order before I mentioned it to her. The food was served speedily and tasted divine. The tables were cleared in between, being completely stuffed I took my desert home. One thing I would have liked to have seen more of, is the bread rolls being warm. The salad bar was fresh, although the tomatoes were a little too soft for me. This has become our favourite family spot where we'll be visiting again very soon.

Took over an hour to get food .watched everyone who came in after us get there food . Waitress was ok watched as the uneaten rolls was put back for others to eat .salad bar was sad looking too .

We've been here a few times before but this visit Sunday evening) was certainly our best. Our server Lianne was exceptional; the perfect combination or friendly and attentive and we dined happily as family with a toddler - which is usually a very stressful experience. Lianne put us at ease, made us feel like nothing was any trouble and spoke with warmth and good humour. We had a lovely meal; food was grea,well portioned and nicely presented. We would definitely return and would like this feedback to get back to Lianne - truly great customer service.

Food could be more warm when coming out but I just like my food piping hot all the time . Kid’s portion were great . Haven't been to Harvester for a long time, and I forgot how it worked. It was a Saturday morning, so I decided to go for a walk instead of driving, given it's quite local. Did walked in but didn't really see any front of staff for like a good 15 seconds (Suppose morning saturday shift so understable) anyways, Breakfast can't go wrong with English Breakfast the portion size were great! although i don't understand why the small tub of beans... You can add extra to the yours liking at additional cost 2 normal Breakfast, cappuccino and Iced latte around £25 bit pricey for a franchise (further down the town theres quite abit of competition) Bread is freshly toasted! Oh, Missus didn't like the scrambled egg, which seemed to be mixed with too much water, making it very bland! Staff were great, quick, and efficient 👍 i think the App is abit useless unless its a breakfast thing you cant order there as i didnt find a table number. Would need to visit for dinner sometime to try the unlimited 🥗 🍅 🥗 🍅

We had a wonderful evening, the quality of the food, particularly the meat, and the lovely staff made our visit. It's clear to see everyone is the restaurant is working hard to deliver a high quality of service to their customers and all doing it with welcoming smiles on their faces. Teresa (my mum's name 👑🖤) waited on us, she's was non stop for us and the other tables she attended and was lovely with our slightly messy & excited children and i particularly want to give her a shout-out 👑 Also the lady behind the bar and the lady that I assumed to be the manager wearing the glasses 👑 lastly the chefs, my familys compliments & regards, every crumb was perfect! Thank again to the whole team & see you again soon... My sons insist! 👌🏼 5⭐️ 🤌🏼 🔥

The lunch menu is well priced and has a good selection of meals. The staff are diligent and helpful. The outside area close to the entrance is rather uninviting and needs to be cleaned and tidied. Only one of the outer t6win doors was available as an entrance.

The place looks tired. Unsure what beers on offer as a lot of signage was not visible on the pumps. Toilets are dirty. Food quality was poor. Some of the dishes ie burgers were very dry. My mixed grill was not what I have experienced at other Harvester outlets

On arrival we had to give up waiting at the bar to order drinks, we just went to our table. They still took a while to order and 15minnto then deliver. Our table server Jamie was great and the food came promptly and they were attentive to our needs.

Good service, good quality food

We visited Sidcup Harvester on Easter Sunday evening. Plenty of parking but you need to register your car at reception by typing in your number plate. The set up was the same as other Harvesters. Free salad provided with each meal. There was an Easter three course menu for £22.99 available. There were five of us dining but were told we could not have a mixture of us having the Easter three course menu and the regular menu so we didn't have the Easter offer. Three of us wanted sirloin but they had no sirloin left so we asked for ribeye but that was all gone. The only option was rump. Two of us had rump but I avoided it based on previous experience. One of the rumps was very tough and the other was just about 'ok'. I would advise avoiding rump steak if you like a decent steak. Two of us had ribs and they were pretty good and the chips were nice and hot. I had a dirty burger and sadly it was one of the worst burgers I have ever had. It has a poor texture and very little taste. We also had battered mushrooms for starters and they were ok. One of us had tomato and basil soup which came with a roll and that was pretty good and served nice and hot. For dessert we had ice cream and also apple pie and custard. Both of these were ok, although ice was probably a little over priced. Overall I came away a little disappointed due to the lack of steaks available and the poor standard of the burger.

My partner & I were served by Tanya who was lovely! She explained early on that they were out of halloumi which made our dish choices easier, laughed at my awful jokes and generally seemed like she cared about us. Would highly recommend visiting here and, if you're so lucky to be served by Tanya, then it's a bonus! The food was cooked beautifully and we were able to take some leftovers home with us as the portion sizes were generous, too!

The customer services skills of one of your male members of staff (dark brown/black hair, possibly Spanish accent) was exemplary. When my partner complained the member of staff wasn’t defensive and defused the situation well. There was also a young female waitress (light brown hair, nose ring) who was polite and very hard working. The rest of the staff on our side of the restaurant seemed to spend much of their time talking or shuffling menus. Our receiving waitress (Tanya) disappeared for much of the time we were present, to the extent one of the chefs noticed our food was waiting under the heaters (for over 10mins) to be collected and when he called for her she still didn’t appear (someone else served us). We also witnessed other food sitting under the heater for 30mins before Tanya collected it because she’d made a mistake with the original order. We were told one member of staff had gone home sick; the impact was a poorly stocked salad cart, poor service, long queues at the door. Each time we return this branch of Harvester has got worse; we won’t be back.

I went to the harvester on Sunday, myself and my partner enjoyed a beautiful meal and 5 star service from Sydnie. She went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. She is a credit to the company.

It's a good cheapish meal. Me and the wife go often. Probably best to avoid any meal with steak though... tough as old boots every time, even medium rare.

Slow service. Booked 18.00 and half hour later still noone comes to get order
