Soggy battered haloumi, no salt on the table, manager with an attitude

Going by previous comments and replys from the establishment, if your reading this before going AVOID AVOID, they tell you it's busy although just empty tables everywhere ( reading other comments, I now know it's cause they want to finish early ) it was so cold we had to eat with our coats on, the salad bar only had half the items in (I know it's a perk and free, but I paid 6.99 for the bowl due to being told they have no skewers and haven't for ages.....for then the next table get served 4 skewers, after telling me unfortunately they have been out of them for a while ) after asking for no sour cream on my food it came with loads of sour cream...just imagine if I had allergies, food was cold and seemed as if it had been cooked hours ago and barely reheated

Went in to order takeaway tonight and staff member was very rude how they spoke to me I went back out, a disgrace to their workplace.

Came for a family meal as they always offered value for money and decent food. Our last visit was nothing less than amazing, mainly because our server Remy went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before we'd even asked for it. Thanks to him and his colleagues for a great visit 💜

The meals we had were excellent We chose the Ultimate Grill, The Triple rotisserie Combo and The Sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce and a half rack of ribs, we also visited the salad bar there was plenty of choice. The desserts were also excellent. I thought it was great value for money and we will certainly be visiting again.

We stopped off as very convenient and close to motorway. We thought the restaurant was nicely decorated and good atmosphere. We enjoyed a lovely meal and our server Debbie was very attentive and helpful. Bit of a wait at salad cart whilst it was topped up but staff chased this up. Very family friendly!

Our order experienced a "technical error" and we had to wait over ninety minutes for our food. There was then an additional problem with our bill. Our main waitress was good but the manager and a couple of other staff seemed to be ineffective and uninterested. The food was decent once it actually arrived but the several compiling errors and the seeming lack of care from most of the staff mean I will almost certainly not be returning in the future.

This place was amazing the staff out of this world special mention to tge manager who went above and beyond for my fussy daughter . Food was outstanding. Thankyou to all at tge harvester

We came in today for lunch and the food was lovely. Amelia was lovely and the service was great! Very impressed she memorised our order without the iPad :)

Debbie has been a fantastic host, very chatty and welcoming. We regularly visit harvester however feel tonight was a poor experience for us. The chips looked anaemic, far too much bbq sauce on my skewers. 40 minute wait for food.

Really quick service, and really good food. Lovely restaurant, Debbie was very nice :)

Visited on a Monday evening in early August. Myself and my son ordered BBQ chicken stack for our mains. It was very tasty but both of our buttered corn on cob was stone cold and swimming in cold water-we presumed it had come straight out the fridge and not heated through. Did not complain as everyone was busy and we also had sweetcorn niblets from the salad bar so it was no big deal. Puddings were lush and we enjoyed our night.

Shown to a table where had faulty air con unit above and near by tables wore coats. someone on next table told us they already moved from there but waitress failed to inform us. Had to chase table drink service as no staff showed and weren't busy. Moved to another table but had to ask for it to be cleaned despite it been empty No chicken available despite not been informed when given menu. Given cutlery and warm bowls to go to salad bar but no napkins. Salt cellers either no stoppers in bottom or salt damp. Customer service was poor. No one asked us if meal ok. Wrong chosen fries arrived but after the experience already received and hungry accepted them. Food was acceptable but whole experience definitely failed to meet standards expected.

Quick stop for lunch, had the dirty bird burger which was lovely, Lidya our server was excellent overall had a amazing experience, thanks very much :)

Personal taste - I didn’t like the ‘garlic coleslaw’ tasted really odd. The service from Cameron was excellent, he was attentive, very polite & always with a smile.

Debbie our server was brilliant and a great laugh!! Thankyou!! Food was tastey, although the tomato was left in my burger when requested not to hav any, easy mistake! Otherwise not bad!

We were served by Naomi and wow what a wonderful young lady. She was knowledgeable about the menu, was chatty and polite throughout our meal, and was just amazing. An asset to the team!

The staff are so friendly and very very polite,the food is magnificent I had haddock the flavour was so so good my husband had mix grill and he said it was the best one he has had ,everything cooked from fresh ,if I could give my stars I would and we going back again, thank you so much really enjoyed it.

Food was very good but a choice of batter or bread crumbs regarding the Haddock would be good. The food was hot unlike one Saturday evening we were served 'tepid' food. The waitress was lovely and very polite and helpful, Lidya is written on the 'give us a review card, so I'm guessing that is the name of the waitress who served us.

The food was decent. Steak and half rack of ribs was a little small for my expectations but then I'm from Texas. The drinks were alright. The bad part was the service. The waitress was polite but we sat in the right half of the restaurant. Barely 6 tables occupied. But could not flag down our waitress for anything and no others would even glance at us. Added to that, even with the few customers, the food took quite long to come out. Checkout, I didn't want to leave the waitress hanging without a tip but one, she didn't bring the bill. After a long wait, I went to the counter and she said she'll get it at the bar. Went there and she got the payment, ripped the bill, left it on the counter and walked away somewhere. Didn't know what to make of it and just left. I would say the food is a little overpriced for what we get and the service we get.

Didn't even get to eat. Paid for the parking only to be told in the restaurant there was no tables available. Never use to be a parking charge for this place. Will never be eating here again.

Love the salad bar as usual and my favorite red devil sauce, but not so happy with chili non carne 😫 my mum loved the slow cooked pork belly.

The food was ok it was to be expected Service was ok. Not much attention to customers after taking our order. Yes it was busy but customer service in this industry is very important.

Good food, but the salad bar wasn't great tbh, they seem to run out of food, also the table wasn't checked properly had to ask for cutlery, but they did seem busy, but Niaomi our waitress was great friendly and welcoming will go back 😀

This review is for the excellent member of staff you have, Naomi. She worked her socks off in a very busy restaurant and provided great service. Food was typical harvester menu, you know what you are going to get and is reasonable value for money, especially when you apply discounts available via the app.

I came specifically for the kids eat for one pound deal. I did all the things they demanded downloaded the app etc. I read the t and cs but the part where it said only four children at a table can eat for a pound confused me so I thought both my kids would be subsidized. At checkout I suddenly had to pay a third more then I was expecting. I feel that the one child to one adult policy is really rubbish for single parents. We paid more for this meal then we did last time at that restaurant. We drove 40 minutes to get there. But I won't do it again. We had burgers and chips but that's totally possible to get locally for cheaper. Im just left feeling like I've been fleeced which feels so hard. please make it very clear up front that it's only one adult one child. It had a huge impact on all of our experiences.

Debbie was wonderful such a bubbly person her service was impeccable. However we came for chicken and there wasnt any but on a positive note the steak was cooked to perfection 👌

Use to be good but feels like it's going down hill over that last few months salad bar is stripped bare most of the time and just after 9pm your being pushed out the door then sometimes , too many kids as staff and they just have no interest in being there... starting to feel like paying the bit extra and just going to Miller and Carter is worth it.

As we walked in we were meant to be informed about the sharing platters that were not avalable so we waited 50 mins for one and were not given it. The waiter Naomi is very kind though. The elderflower drink tasted like pool water with pee in. The ribs were overcooked and dry. The best part was the self serve salad bar. Just go ½ a mile up the road to the pub for better food.

I’ve been here a few times and have always been pleased with the service we receive. The staff who work here are all helpful and polite. Salad bar is always topped up nicely and food has always been quick.

Edited as Google pulled through an old review. 5* is easily given, we were looked after from the minute we walked in. With a friendly welcome and a chatty, smiley server Debbie. Nothing was too much trouble for Debbie throughout the evening, who made sure our food was served quickly, cleared quickly and that we were enjoying ourselves. Although it was really busy we never felt as though we were waiting for Debbie to help, she was run ragged but all of her guests had a great experience. Food was as good as always, drinks were served quickly and device was attentive and took the time to chat with us. Great evening all round!

Debbie was incredible friendly and smiley!! Food was lush, salad bar kept being topped up and the vegan burger was lush. There were some noisy kids but that couldn't be helped.

Amazing service! Had a lad who was in training and I can say how well he's doing! I didn't catch his name but absolute credit to the company! Food was out fast and hot. Perfect place for a family meal even on a Friday!

I've been here twice, both meals were delicious 😋 the steaks were cooked to perfection and the service we got 10/10 👌

Booked a table and had a confirmation text message. When we got to the restaurant we were told they had no record of our booking and the kitchen was now closed. At 8:30pm. Website lets you book up to 9pm. I guess they wanted to finish early that day!

The food was lovely as was the service given by Deb our waitress. It was a shame that the summer specials were not available.

The meal was a little dissapointing to be fair, Myself and my husbands steaks were mixed up (Medium rare & Medium well) & The salad was empty but was promptly topped up when asked. It was quite busy when we arrived and it showed in the quality of the food! unfortunately, it was overcooked. Our server, Debbie, on the other hand, is absolutely fantastic. She didn't stop from the minute we got here and maintained a friendly, polite, and helpful demeanour the whole time. I would 100% return if only for the service she provided. She's a great asset to your team & you would do well to keep her.
