Popped in and had breakfast which was nice only complaint was chose fried eggs which both where hard, the rest was nice.

Good pub food at reasonable price. Particular shout out to our lovely, friendly waitress “shade” (i think that’s correct). Did an amazing job and played along with all the banter. Thank you 🙌

Poor quality steak and over cooked requested medium rare, received medium Well. Was told couldn’t do a refund as half the meal was eaten. ( Had eaten all the accompaniments I before starting steak) (To be clear at no time was a refund requested by the table) 2. Missing items from Combo. Cajun chicken dry and lack spice Gravy Luke warmand bland missing Southern fried chicken arrives after everyone had finished eating .not a good service Extremely disappointed after previous excellent visits Did comp one drink (thanks)

The staff are what truly make us keep coming back. Jo in particular is wonderful and our kids always ask for a Harvester dinner now so they can see her. The atmosphere is very welcoming for us all.

I came to do some work on site in the kitchen on Tuesday. Staff here are extremely pleasant... Dave (chef) assisted me most during my visit but I interacted with many more members of the team, even at 7.30am they were friendly and welcoming. High standards run throughout The Bell and Barge... Very clean, comfortable seating with Fresh, good looking food being prepared by Dave ready for that days service. Thanks for the early morning assist Dave .... Very much appreciated (D)

Food was ok, but service was excellent. Kenzie worked so hard to make it a memorable get together with a friend. And bonus points to Kenzie for warning me about the blue cheese sauce possibly having nut protien in - vital info for me as I have a life threatening nut allergy.

Very busy when we went so initially thought we were in for a long wait, wrong, our server turned up quite quickly, very friendly and polite,sorry forgot her name, drinks arrived quickly, as did the food. All 5 of us enjoyed our meals, only one complaint, no English mustard !!! Would recommend.

First time here, had a lovely experience. Staff were all friendly especially Teagan who was really helpful on a cold wintery evening!

Normally an excellent experience but on Tuesday, January 7th, the food and plates were barely warm which was a disappointment

Our server SHARDI went above and beyond to accommodate us, understanding that due to medication I needed to go home and offered for my mains to be packed for takeaway, she is an all round employee, from taking orders to running food and drinks. I even heard her tackle a complaint from another table and manage it to an amazing solution. Management team she’s a keeper.

Luckily got a table without booking. Carpark is a bit difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. Food feels a bit small.

Rey was an absolute star very attentive, credit to the kitchen too food was amazing all really hot and delicious. An amazing experience had by all of us. Thanks team your doing a great job 🤗

We came for our annual boxing day meal yesterday. Table of 11 of us. Fab service. So quick and friendly. Service was very good! Portion sizes were immense! Starters came out swiftly. Followed by the mains which were plentiful! And the puddings were amazing! Just lovely!

Decent food and service for a pub lunch

I’m glad to see that nothing has changed in 20 years and it really brought back some fantastic childhood memories. The staff were all fantastic and the food was excellent. The salad bar was amazing and well stocked and clean and will definitely recommend and return 😊

We decided to pop in after shopping nearby. A big mistake usually Harvester restaurants are busy, not this one it was deadly quiet a sign of things to come. Service was slow to put it politely. Food was not over hot like normal . We had our starters and main. After about 10 mins after finishing our mains the server came to ask if we wanted dessert. It took a further 10 mins to receive the menu. Then after a further 15 minutes when the server had not returned we decided not to have any dessert. When we mentioned this she said oh I thought you needed a bit of time yes but NOT 15 minutes. Safe to say we will not be back to this harvester.

Food could be much hotter and plus get told before you get the bill they do not accept AA or NHS blue badge discount cards which I thought was disgraceful when come to pay the bill nothing was said they don't accept them at the start.

What a magical time. From moment of arrival we was greeted and brought to a nice cosy table. Kenzie served us and was beyond friendly and approachable.. she helped explain my queries regarding what we could have with our food and was the centre piece to our great night. My partner and I visited the bell and barge 2 weeks ago for the first time. The thing that stood out the most was the service - especially when another customer became abusive and aggressive for no apparent reason, the staff handled it with integrity and professionalism throughout. After the incident 3 members of staff asked if we were okay, which shows that they go above and beyond in caring for their customers. We were served by a lady called 'J'(?) and she kept a smile on her face throughout, despite the incident and how busy the restaurant was at the time. The food was also top quality, and the interior of the place was warm and well decorated. Will definitely be back here at some point.

Service was excellent as always. Food was not so good. I had original combo, partner had triple chicken, son had full rack of ribs. Both son and I agreed ribs were tasteless, my chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. We were sat near the doors and people kept leaving them open and it was so cold. Thankfully I had a 25% off food voucher and a £10 gift card, otherwise it would have been a very expensive meal that we couldn't eat. Prices have gone up a lot but standard of food hasn't.

The most awful food I have had in a long time. Chicken wings were cold and that's scary with Chicken. Sirloin steak, raw and cold in the middle. I was with three colleagues and it was embarrassing having to send it back. Staff not particularly apologetic so I went and got a pizza elsewhere. Never again.

I ordered beef skewer with piri piri sauce. At first it appeared strange to me that we were not asked if we want them well done or medium or rare, and that sauce was spreaded on ready meat despite they provided tiny bowl with sauce. After eating few bits we noticed its not tasty, does not taste like beef at all. Then we looked closely and texture is not like beef, then i removed sauce from meat it smelled and tasted like pork liver, texture was extremly fine almost like monolith, like mince pork livet glued together. Then we compared with "Super steak" out faughter ordered, it was like sky and ground, unbelievable difference in smell, taste, texture, harness, juicyness. We were not able to finish. Now we knew why they did not risk us ordering medium or rare - just bevause rare porrk might hold live parasites and worms now we know why meat had piri piri sauce by defualt despite bowl of piri piri sauce was provided. Never ever again this restaurant absolutely disgusting. There are no words in dictionary of civilized people to describe that misbehaviour. I did not make "theatre" at restaurant, now I regret.

Ok food.. but now it's getting very expensive. I can see a Frankie and Benny's style future for this company unfortunately.

Haven't been to a Havester in years due to rising prices and bad experiences - had a voucher for 25% off so thought I would give it another try and I am so glad we did.... staff were super friendly, food was absolutely fantastic and atmosphere was lovely. Very impressed!!

The food was great. Unfortunately my husband choked on a piece of meat and needed help. The staff were amazing and a customer performed the Heimlech manoeuvre on him which worked. Our server was very attentive and gave him some water. Very grateful.

Sadly they were having staffing issues and they were friendly, but slow and the food was cold. Felt sorry for them.

Had a nice Sunday afternoon meal here which was really tasty but my only issue is the prices have gone up a lot like a normal burger or fish and chips is £18 not a cheap place to eat out and I used to go fairly often. Me and the wife had a main each coffee and pepsi and cost £49.74

We had a group of three adults and three children. We all had a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere. What made the evening very enjoyable was the service provided by the waitress Joana. She was very friendly, engaging with the children making them feel important. The service she provided was very efficient. Certainly a credit to the restaurant. We have used this venue before but Joana made this visit the best we have had there.

Went for lunch at the Bell and Barge on Saturday with my family. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We had brilliant service from Louisa. The menu had a wide selection of options and the salad bar was excellent. We will certainly be returning. Lovely place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Thank you Harvester.

More vegan options please. Breakfast is good. But pudding. There is no choice really. Ice cream or ice cream sundae(didn't really say on menu what was in it). When so many things can be veganised. Apple crumble or brownies for instance. I never go for vegan ice cream. I have a tub at home that cost £4.50. Why would I pay for yours. I dont mind paying though if its special. Like a cake.

What a laugh we had! We had a get together as a bunch of handcuff collectors and escapologists. We were made to feel very welcome but one lady stood out as a superb host. Teagan is a credit to this team, she is friendly attentive and terrific fun it was a joy to be looked after by her! Xx
