I’m glad to see that nothing has changed in 20 years and it really brought back some fantastic childhood memories. The staff were all fantastic and the food was excellent. The salad bar was amazing and well stocked and clean and will definitely recommend and return 😊

We decided to pop in after shopping nearby. A big mistake usually Harvester restaurants are busy, not this one it was deadly quiet a sign of things to come. Service was slow to put it politely. Food was not over hot like normal . We had our starters and main. After about 10 mins after finishing our mains the server came to ask if we wanted dessert. It took a further 10 mins to receive the menu. Then after a further 15 minutes when the server had not returned we decided not to have any dessert. When we mentioned this she said oh I thought you needed a bit of time yes but NOT 15 minutes. Safe to say we will not be back to this harvester.

Food could be much hotter and plus get told before you get the bill they do not accept AA or NHS blue badge discount cards which I thought was disgraceful when come to pay the bill nothing was said they don't accept them at the start.

What a magical time. From moment of arrival we was greeted and brought to a nice cosy table. Kenzie served us and was beyond friendly and approachable.. she helped explain my queries regarding what we could have with our food and was the centre piece to our great night. My partner and I visited the bell and barge 2 weeks ago for the first time. The thing that stood out the most was the service - especially when another customer became abusive and aggressive for no apparent reason, the staff handled it with integrity and professionalism throughout. After the incident 3 members of staff asked if we were okay, which shows that they go above and beyond in caring for their customers. We were served by a lady called 'J'(?) and she kept a smile on her face throughout, despite the incident and how busy the restaurant was at the time. The food was also top quality, and the interior of the place was warm and well decorated. Will definitely be back here at some point.

Service was excellent as always. Food was not so good. I had original combo, partner had triple chicken, son had full rack of ribs. Both son and I agreed ribs were tasteless, my chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. We were sat near the doors and people kept leaving them open and it was so cold. Thankfully I had a 25% off food voucher and a £10 gift card, otherwise it would have been a very expensive meal that we couldn't eat. Prices have gone up a lot but standard of food hasn't.

The most awful food I have had in a long time. Chicken wings were cold and that's scary with Chicken. Sirloin steak, raw and cold in the middle. I was with three colleagues and it was embarrassing having to send it back. Staff not particularly apologetic so I went and got a pizza elsewhere. Never again.

Always a lovely meal here. The service was really good tonight too. Teagan was pleasant, friendly and professional. The atmosphere was nice too, not too busy/loud. Food was as always brilliant. Salad bar worth its weight in gold.

Ok food.. but now it's getting very expensive. I can see a Frankie and Benny's style future for this company unfortunately.

I ordered beef skewer with piri piri sauce. At first it appeared strange to me that we were not asked if we want them well done or medium or rare, and that sauce was spreaded on ready meat despite they provided tiny bowl with sauce. After eating few bits we noticed its not tasty, does not taste like beef at all. Then we looked closely and texture is not like beef, then i removed sauce from meat it smelled and tasted like pork liver, texture was extremly fine almost like monolith, like mince pork livet glued together. Then we compared with "Super steak" out faughter ordered, it was like sky and ground, unbelievable difference in smell, taste, texture, harness, juicyness. We were not able to finish. Now we knew why they did not risk us ordering medium or rare - just bevause rare porrk might hold live parasites and worms now we know why meat had piri piri sauce by defualt despite bowl of piri piri sauce was provided. Never ever again this restaurant absolutely disgusting. There are no words in dictionary of civilized people to describe that misbehaviour. I did not make "theatre" at restaurant, now I regret.

Haven't been to a Havester in years due to rising prices and bad experiences - had a voucher for 25% off so thought I would give it another try and I am so glad we did.... staff were super friendly, food was absolutely fantastic and atmosphere was lovely. Very impressed!!

Sadly they were having staffing issues and they were friendly, but slow and the food was cold. Felt sorry for them.

The food was great. Unfortunately my husband choked on a piece of meat and needed help. The staff were amazing and a customer performed the Heimlech manoeuvre on him which worked. Our server was very attentive and gave him some water. Very grateful.

Had a nice Sunday afternoon meal here which was really tasty but my only issue is the prices have gone up a lot like a normal burger or fish and chips is £18 not a cheap place to eat out and I used to go fairly often. Me and the wife had a main each coffee and pepsi and cost £49.74

We had a group of three adults and three children. We all had a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere. What made the evening very enjoyable was the service provided by the waitress Joana. She was very friendly, engaging with the children making them feel important. The service she provided was very efficient. Certainly a credit to the restaurant. We have used this venue before but Joana made this visit the best we have had there.

Went for lunch at the Bell and Barge on Saturday with my family. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We had brilliant service from Louisa. The menu had a wide selection of options and the salad bar was excellent. We will certainly be returning. Lovely place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Thank you Harvester.

What a laugh we had! We had a get together as a bunch of handcuff collectors and escapologists. We were made to feel very welcome but one lady stood out as a superb host. Teagan is a credit to this team, she is friendly attentive and terrific fun it was a joy to be looked after by her! Xx

We recently visited the Harvester Pub and had an absolutely fantastic time! As a group from the Doncaster Restraint Museum, we were thrilled by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were not only professional but also incredibly fun and engaging. They were open to playing around with handcuffs, which added a unique and entertaining twist to our visit. A special shoutout to Teagan, who provided amazing service throughout our time there. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail made our experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend the Harvester Pub for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable time!

More vegan options please. Breakfast is good. But pudding. There is no choice really. Ice cream or ice cream sundae(didn't really say on menu what was in it). When so many things can be veganised. Apple crumble or brownies for instance. I never go for vegan ice cream. I have a tub at home that cost £4.50. Why would I pay for yours. I dont mind paying though if its special. Like a cake.

Always enjoy visiting here. Food is always consistent. Could do with a little bit of a better greeting though.... always seem to be stood waiting to check in / ask for a table with various staff passing and not even saying hello. The staff no doubt work incredibly hard, but if they are reading this, the tables and menus could also do with a better clean. Other than that, all good and a nice place to dine.

Signe was lovely and attentive with a great sense of humour. She made sure we were happy, and if we needed anything more. We had a lovely meal and dining experience. 4 stars for the food due to slightly soggy batter on fish and haloumi. Otherwise, very beautiful.

Your manager is so rude to people on Saturday I saw him call my waitress out the back when she returned she was very upset and I heard her say he said I’m the weakest link and she being bullied by him this is not the first time I have seen him being out of line with female staff if this is. Not addressed I will be taking this further

Great evening out with family. Thanks to Joanne for keeping the little ones entertained, the candle on the ice cream and the photo. Felt like VIP service. Food was standard, the camembert & cherry tomato tart was too camembert and not enough tomato. I'll stick to the classic pasta shells in the delicious sauce next time.

I go here quite regularly and service is always excellent. Good selection for veggie/ vegans.

A decent place for both drinks only or food and drinks.. The decor of the place is quite new and gives a nice cosy wibe.. Service can be a little slow during busy times, but I guess it's pretty common everywhere.. Food and drinks are a bit on the high side, but they do a load of deals that one can take advantage of. The quality and quantity of the portion are brilliant and well done to the team

Things you don't like on a dish.....I'm sure everyone at some point has looked at a full English and said I like it all but..... well that's what we did. On the breakfast was black pudding, not everyone likes it, not everyone can eat it. We asked if we could swap it and told no you can't swap or it messes up the stock take. Sorry but that a crap answer. You won't swap because you can't be bothered. Never ever have I been told I can't swap an item. All places in my experience will go the extra mile to help. I even heard them refuse children scrambled eggs because they were out of stock. Please don't be so silly, if you can do fried and porches you can scrambled. HOW DO YOU THINK THEY ARE MADE. I could go on and on. But....to top it off, we asked for the black pudding not to be served, but they still changed us for the full breakfast. You need to think about the customers and not your P&L. Time to rethink.

Generally OK, but disappointed with a sirloin steak that was almost as much fat at steak! Also asked for medium rare but was more medium. Maybe it's better to stick to chicken at a Harvester?

Oh wow. What a difference. Lots more salad items to choose from, portions are so much bigger! We've avoided Harvester for over a year due to this. I can hand on heart say this was the best Harvester meal I've ever had. I couldn't finish it unfortunately. The new corn bread was gorgeous. Staff friendly. Keep it up. We'll be back.

Had fish chips this lunch time it was over cooked very chewy did say but didn't have it replaced just left it but wasn't offered discount on the bill will think again about going for lunch there with friends

I visited on the off chance tonight for a table and was advised they were busy but take some menus and order in the bar. So we got a drink and found a table in bar and went order to be told not taking food orders at the bar as restaurant was too busy, we advised the bar staff we were advised to come to bar to order. A short while later bar member came back to say they would sort us a table in restaurant but would be a while for food. I get being busy but don’t say one thing and then say no. Not impressed 🤨. We did not eat as we drank our drink and left as we could not be served and staff did not seem to communicate with each other so it was easier to leave 🙁

Great place food a bit pricey but otherwise worth a visit

I wanted to book somewhere to take my dog but the booking site implied no spaces left in the dog area in the bar. They did not explain, as the staff explained on my arrival that you do not book for the bar area. So I could have taken my dog. This was disappointing to me. Left me guessing that other restaurants must do the same. I tried to enquire about booking with my dog before going by telephone but their phone wasn't answered the 5 times I tried calling over two days.

Came in here at 8pm apparently on the day that a new menu was just put in place. Personally, it had been years since I came and it didn't disappoint. It didn't take long for the food to arrive and it was great. I had a burger and it was juicy and very satisfying. Desert also was brilliant. The Rocky horror had a wonderful start of taste. Staff were very friendly.

Go elsewhere,do not waste your money as on the 9th/09/ 2024, l was here with close family/guest who were visiting me ,bearing in mind prior to my health issues l had visited previously a while back with others who were regular diners here & who initially introduced me to this place to visit, and were themselves spending over £100's a time here also .They have now also as a result of our negative and absolutely appalling experience/treatment boycotted this establishment in rugby completely and have vowed to never return and have decided to not only take their custom elsewhere, but have advised friends to do likewise & not to visit this particular harvester in rugby ever again or allow them to benefit from their further custom. l initially suggested this establishment 2 my guests visiting from out of the area as a special treat to celebrate a special occasion as they had travelled over 160 miles to see me and the subsequent visit here was meant to be a highlight to welcome them 2 the local area& enjoy a good dining experience.However, to say the service here was absolutely horrific is an complete understatement and doesn't go far enough.The staff who came to our table to take our respective food and drink orders, which took almost 15/20minutes to get the drinks alone never mind the food which arrived much later and l will elaborate more on the appalling food experience in a moment. After we ordered our drinks,we had to repeatedly keep asking where the drinks were, it took over 15/20minutes+ 2 get them,whilst the waitresses demonstrated a very poor & unprofessional attitude towards us as customers and literally stood around doing next to nothing but talking between themselves, it wasn't busy at that point. When they were asked politely by myself 2 get me a gluten-free menu and show me what they had to offer which was also suitable for vegans so l could order, as l recently had changed to a vegan and gluten-free diet for health reasons.The waitreses who took all the orders were extremely rude acted like they couldn't be arsed to do their job properly, and repeatedly messed up our orders by bringing items which had gluten in them, weren't vegan friendly, which l could not eat,& not what we ordered& was virtually lukewarm at best & very undercooked, so l complained to them and asked them 2 fetch the manager.They then retaliated by deliberately & vindictively telling the female OD manager that they had heard 1 of my guests using fowl language at the table which was completly untrue & a malicious lie as my guest who had never been here b4 & is of a quiet disposition had done nothing of the sort at any time whilst quietly sitting at the table,& others at the table confirmed that fact clearly stating the comments made by the servers 2 their manager whom we had asked 2 speak2 in the 1st instance 2 raise & outline our valid concerns about the poor service, bad attitude of staff who served us etc was untrue,I tried telling ODM that our food was undercooked & lukewarm, when finally brought to my table,& on at least 2 occasions prior2 eventually receiving the correct meals the 2 servers had deliberately brought the completley wrong orders 2 us despite my allergies being confirmed2them on numerous occasions including when l initially made the table reservation.Food was all sent back on more than 1 occasion,which didn't go down well with staff especially when l asked to talk with the ODM2 tell her of our bad dining experience. When the ODM finally appeared,I tried 2tell her calmly our issues outlined above giving honest feedback & challenged the false account given by staff, suddenly,the ODM,in a very aggressive&confrontational manner,began shouting at my guest who was just quietly sitting at the table,accusing her of using fowl language, with the deliberate intention of embarrassing/humiliating my guest infront of others becuz we had raised valid concerns about both the awful food & dining experience.My guest was visibly upset,distressed & in tears by whole experience/what happened.We all left in protest & will not be returning ever

This Restaurant is a little gem, called the restaurant to book a table, and from start to finish, definitely 5 Stars, we were greeted by friendly bar staff on our arrival, where we had some pre meal drinks, we were shown to our table by our host, and looked after by the restaurant staff, a fantastic night from start to finish, and will definitely be paying another visit….

The food here is very high quality and tastes amazing. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Most of the menu is reasonably priced,some things are a bit expensive, but considering what you get it's still very good. The restaurant is well decorated and has a great atmosphere. Welcomed by friendly staff on arrival, food was ok, I ordered off the tapas style menu, food was ok I guess for the money, felt like standard pub grub, salad bar was a nice little touch. I would eat there again.

Usual brewers fayre menu. Poor range of real ales. Very busy on Sunday evening. Trainee waiting staff that served our table of 9 was extremely pleasant & helpful. A credit to the team.
