Lovely service with friendly and helpful staff. Food was very nice too.

We had Grace serving us, who was pleasant, friendly and funny and joined in with the fun. Arek cooked the food brilliantly and we were all pleased

I was very annoyed last night ,I had a meal with my son the food was good but cold after I spoke to the waitress she said the boiler has broken, the staff were walking around in coats . Me and my son were cold too I object to paying £41 for a cold fish and chips,I could have gone to a chippy for the same meal but knowing it will be hot. M Lakin

Went for lunch with a group of 10. Looked after by Grace who was so charming and enthusiastic. She brought all the drinks and meals and knew exactly which went to whom. Food was great, I had the chicken skewer which was really tasty, so many thanks to chef Lucas. Definitely be back soon.

We visit The Arden Oak once a fortnight and have always been happy with the food/service/seating /cleanliness…. Last night however we took our friends who had never visited a Harvester …. We gave our order and the drinks came promptly Then the food order arrived… 2x fish & chips 1x chicken skewers ( except it was hallumi ) promptly taken away and changed … 1x hallumi with the wrong sauce …. Took a long long time to be changed …. Our food was cold as we very slowly held out for our fourth guest to get the meal we ordered …. I don’t think they will ever return… it was a disaster…. So much for it being our treat :(

Across the road from Harvester is La Nonna italian restaurant where the food is sublime , a steak in Harvester costs £23 in La Nonna £27. The food in Harvester is over priced low quality fair, me and my wife had a burger , hers regular mine supposed to be southern fried chicken , honestly a horrible meal , sub standard deep fried crap. The table next to us had a steak and complained . When the waitress left after the complaint the lady at the table commented to her husband that her steak was the worst she ever had , I believe her! To Harvester , if you are going to command restaurant prices then please deliver quality food to match your price point . Wont be going again, not a chance , ill cross the road and pay the extra for an enjoyable experience . Ps , Im a plumber and no way affiliated with La Nonna, just referencing as a comparison as fed up of large companies/food chains cashing in on sub standard fair at the publics expense when we can have an enjoyable experience elsewhere for the same cost .

Got lost on the way and then got there late, didnt expect to get served but Grace was lovely and went out of her way to help us and really saved the night. A +++++

As neurodivergent I did have to ask them to pick one audio in the restaurant because the kitchen and the restaurant records were conflicting and one was stuck on a loop. The staff were brilliant at resolving this the toilets need work as I struggled with the locks on the doors and disabled toilets were locked, so I had to request the radar key. Staff were attentive to the dog and brought a bowl of water for him. Service was brilliant only negative was the wait for the bill.

My order was over an hour and a half late , when we received our order it was cold . It was an anniversary meal before my partner went to work , which he didn’t get to eat as he had to go to work as the order was so late .

Looking wait for mains to come out. When they did they were only warm. Staff were just standing around chatting, next table to us had to try and get their attention to take away plates and order desert. We'd waited too long to order desert so left after flashing down Staff to pay. Dissapointing

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at the Harvester Arden Oak, and I was blown away by the experience. Our waitress, Kerry, was absolutely exceptional—she truly couldn’t do enough for us! From the moment we sat down, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, always with a warm smile and genuine care. Her attentiveness and eagerness to ensure we enjoyed our meal made the entire lunch time feel special. The new menu is also a real highlight! With so many fresh options to choose from, it was hard to decide what to try first. The dishes we ordered were delicious, full of bold flavours, and clearly crafted with attention to detail. The variety was impressive, and you can tell Harvester has really stepped up their game with these new offerings.

Visited tday,usually food is exceptional.,but tday was barely warm.We ordered 2 full racks of ribs,and a burger.Waiting ages for our food,I went to the grill,and our food was waiting on the grill.10 mins later,I approached two ladies talking,our waitress,and a blonde lady.,talking in front of our food.I said is that our food,said yes,carried on talking.It arrived,warm,even chips were going cold I didn't say anything,as the older lady,asked me not 2,we ate it,for respect to the elderly lady,who was looking for a day out in many mnths I'm not one to complain,but this was unexcetable Date tday.Time 12 Guests 3,the other lady was unable to come,due to ill health.

My partner and I visit here frequently and we are always happy with the service we receive. Jon and Grace and always fantastic and are always happy to go the extra mile.

Grace our waitress was great! Very friendly and great with the children. All food was perfect thanks to Lucas the chef.

Don’t bother the service is rubbish visit regular but Sunday was not up to standard slow service cold lunches waitress just vanished no table service had to struggle to pay

The food was superb, chicken just fell off the bone, great value at £8 per meal,our sever was Emily who was first rate, she was efficient, cheerful and answered any questions we had with excellent product knowledge. Overall a very pleasant experience.

From being welcomed on our arrival & shown to our table we enjoyed lunch served by Kerry. So nice to interact with someone who has a sense of humour, is very polite & pleasant & makes sure you have all you need. Compliments to Chefs Arek & Lucas for presenting a lovely meal. Well done all.

Dry hard coating on chicken strips, prawns and mushrooms. Smaller portions than normal. Cling film instead of lids covered the bowls of salad, coleslaw & potato salad made contents fall into main bag. Dip lids were flat and didn’t cover pots so contents spilt all over the bag so all in all not a good experience. I took photos

There was around 20 of us September 1st. Everyone was very welcoming, the service was absolutely fantastic, food beautiful. The young lady who served us was so accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Service was good although it was very busy. Food was undercooked but then tasteless ,dry and cold . Tables around us were served and left before our food arrived then one meal was wrong disapointing after many visits.

Had a lovely meal in here with my better half, service was amazing and the food was definitely worth coming back for would definitely recommend 😋

We eat at Arden Oak quite often. We always enjoy our meals and my son has a special dessert that he loves. BUT there is a waitress that we have found to be exemplary in her customer service who stands out head and shoulders amongst the rest!! It is GRACE! GRACE! GRACE! GRACE! GRACE! When she isnt there we notice the difference. She always smiles, engages in conversation with the customers and is not offended if something needs perfecting. She takes an interest and actually cares about the service being provided. This is what customer service at the highest standard is supposed to look like. Thank you for looking after our table. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated.

We booked over the Telephone and when we arrived it took some time before anyone greeted and seated us. One member of staff looked right at us and walked past twice before she came to the front desk. We were seated and waited a long while before anyone came to take our drink order. We placed our food order and asked if we could order and pay separately. We were told it was too much bother to sort that now and we would have to wait til the end of our meal. The salad bar was poorly stocked and sparse. Kids meals arrived 10 minutes before the adult meals. The chips and corn on the cob were cold. My friends prawn dish tasted and smelt "off", and the food itself was poorly presented. After an hour no one came to check if our meal was OK, so we couldn't inform anyone. At no point were we asked if we wanted more drinks. We were left waiting so long that I had to seek out a member of staff to ask to speak to someone about this and get the bill; even though we'd been sat with our coats on waiting to leave. He was very apologetic and removed the "off" dish and drinks from our bill. However this ruined our meal out together. As a party well felt like we'd been shoved in a corner and forgotten about. Not the kind of experience we want to revisit.

Great service today, Sam looked after our table of 12 with attention to detail and really warm and friendly. Made sure all our dietary requirements were handled safely too, as one of our guests is coeliac.

It was busy and noisy wen I was there prefer spoons as it's half the price and just as good and noisy.

Have been coming to this Harvester for ages and each time I have been 100% but , I must give out the BIG SHOUT OUT TO: Laura who always has a sunny disposition and the professionalism is never forgotten. Great Classic Breakfast ,Courtney was delightful . I would only order fried eggs in future Liz and Hayden not Scrambled . Scrambled doesn't stay warm when your adding other items to the plate. I've had fried before much better. Lovely breakfast all the same. Thank you

This place works well as a local pub serving the community, but also as a good place for people to pop into for food. Always book a table in advance because it's always rammed. I think the Harvester here does good food for the price, chicken never dry and the sage and onion chips are on point

Great place for breakfast, the food was great well priced and even had a cheeky beer at the bar to wash it all down with.

The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff was exceedingly helpful in addressing our unique needs. The overall ambiance was excellent, and the cuisine more than met my expectations. We tried the house recommendations, and if you go to the restaurant, you should too.

Currently sitting in restaurant, not busy, been here 55 mins, still no food. 20 mins to get table. Finally given table that was free since we came in.

There was a 40%offer on so they were very busy but the food was not nice at all. Salad was dry and old salad tipped out on top of the new salad. The rope lights over the salad bar is full of heavy dust and cobwebs, just a little breeze and the salad bar is covered. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere in the place was nice too. Just the food quality let it down.

All 7 of us enjoyed our meal we had to wait only a little longer than normal for our food but this was to be expected as 40, yes 40 Chinese people had just sat down to eat before us but as I said our meal was worth the wait.

Had a lovely evening with my wife and two friends. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was good.

My Wife and I haven't visited Harvester for a couple of years we were regular visitors enjoying great food and members of staff were lovely. The last time we visited 2 years ago, I ordered half a chicken, I think I got "Half a Chick". We had noticed a decline in the quality of the food. From that day on I vowed I would never visit a harvester again. Yesterday my wife encouraged me to visit Harvester again and reluctantly I agreed. We didn't book, but on arrival we were met by a member of staff and shown to a table and offered the menu. My wife and I decided that we would have a meal from the lunch time menu. My wife decided to have scampi and a Waffle ice cream sundae and I would have a Garlic bread and The Beef Classic burger, please note these 2 course options. The guy that served us I would class as a high pressure salesman, I was bombarded with question of upgrades and felt under pressure to make a decision, I questioned the guy "why so many questions?" This isn't the behaviour I would expect when visiting Harvester. We ate our meals paid for them and left. My wife kept the receipt decided I would take a look at it this morning, Not only had I felt pressured to make a decision on upgrades we have also been ripped off. 2 two course meals priced at £12.99 a pint of orange squash £2.20 and upgrade £0.99 for chips and £2.50 for and extra burger should have been £31.67. Look at the receipt, Harvester Arden Oak has charged us for one 3 course option £14.99 an orange squash £2.20 upgrades of chips £0.99 and an extra burger £2.50 a separate portion of scampi priced at £13.47 which was a final bill total of £34.47. One thing I noticed is what I assume is the Manager was sat at a table in the restaurant and it was only him that took the orders off customers not the table staff? I will also be contacting head office about the service received. I will never set foot in Harvester again I don't expect to be ripped off.

Quality food at affordable price

A group of us was in the area for a trade show and as a result had our evening meals there 3 nights in a row. Menu was very diverse so there was no overlap, service was prompt, whether food or drinks, and Jade our host all 3 nights could not have been nicer, or more efficient. 10 out of ten for you guys.
