Love coming here when in the area, lovely food and great service

Falling standards. Had the two course lunchtime meal offer, which was not worth the cost even at the lower price. Food was noticeably not as good as our last visit, in fact left some uneaten.

Ate this evening at around 7:30. Staff were lovely especially Dannii. She was funny, attentive and great at her job. I had the BBQ Stack which was delicious (thank you to the chef Luke) and a Rocky Horror Waffle for desert. Great place to eat and it’s always nice to visit.

Staff are lovely along with the food, they were very much on top of checking if you needed anything and checking how everything was! Always come to this one!

Regular visitor to Harvesters so know what to expect. Everything was fine and I was impressed with the choices at the salad bar. Despite being a busy time with 2 family celebrations in the restaurant the staff were quick to serve us and our meals came out promptly.

A lovely place next to the river Itchen. We were served by Louise, who went to great lengths to help my daughter choose a good off-menu meal because of her lactose intolerance. The food was excellent thanks to your highly talented chef Tracy, and it was brought to our table with very little delay. Special thanks to all the staff, especially Louise and Tracy!

Always a great welcome at Harvester Ham Farm. Staff are so lovely and hardworking here, but somehow manage to look after you throughout your visit. Food has consistently been excellent on each visit... the salad bar is fantastic and a big hit with me.

We have been going to Harvester for last past 17 years. Louise has been extremely friendly, helpful and efficient 😃 Enjoyed our meal and had a good time. Thanks Louise.

Been here a few times for multiple occasions the food and service is always good and never have complaints. Danni was our server today and was very attentive. The food cooked by the chef Henry was of a good standard as always. Thank you for another nice meal.

The food quality was very poor this evening, which was a shock. Bread rolls in salad bar was stale, missing various items. The child’s brownie was so hard it couldn’t be eaten and when complained, this wasn’t taken off the bill. Usually we have a great time when we visit and are regular visitors but this really put us off returning again.

Cooking food in contaminated peanut oil. Not chefs fault they are doing what they are told to do. It is powers above. Lots of food now containing peanut not very well labelled up for nut allergy's. As for the management in the restaurant don't get me wrong they done what they could to accommodate but the pen pushers need to realise what they are doing. Please note this is not based at the restaurant but at the higher above. People that think that they know what they doing people that only see the pound signs. As for portion sizes well what can I say they are for people on a serious diet.

Very lovely server named Steph who made us feel instantly welcome and comfortable. Very quick service and nothing to much trouble! Hats off to the chef Luke! The food was absolutely amazing not that we could finish it all! Tale away box was provided without judgement so dinner sorted for later or another day. Salad bar was very fresh aswell with lots to offer. Lovely bread rolls! Would recommend and come back a million times over!

Jess was our waitress this afternoon, she was super lovely, even though it was busy she was polite and cheerful. As a sauce in our order was unavailable, she offered an alternative sauce which was very similar, she was just a delight to talk to. When we were ready to pay, she asked if we had any vouchers, as I pulled it out she didn't hesitate to say that there's a better voucher on the app, thank you for being so lovely Jess! 😊

Absolutely gutted. My family and I was booked here for my birthday meal I was super looking forward too. Unfortunately it was by far the worse experience for harvester to date. The food was disgusting the waiter was not happy to help when we had an issue with all four meals. I was standing at the salad bar for 15 mins to be told there was no beetroot and another salad. Eventually went to the manager which I have never done before but as this had just ruined my birthday I was livid. There was no compassion from staff and I will under no circumstances be ever going back here and will definitely not recommend coming here either. Harvester you have truly let yourselves down big time. You need to sort the management out it was appalling service from start to end.

I’m a little late writing this review but I have found time to write it now and really think it should be mentioned. On the 10th Dec 2024 I came for breakfast with my friend to catch up before I had to go into work. Our table was booked for 9am. We came to the door at 9am and it was locked. There was a lady called Steph who was behind the counter who clocked us but was ignoring us. We tried to get her attention but to no avail. A waitress then comes running upto the door all flustered called Louise apologising for the door not being open. I asked if she was okay and she said she was caught in traffic after school drop off by this time it’s 9.05am. We sat down at our table and felt really uncomfortable and felt like we were an inconvenience. We had to order soon and Louise was tending to all her customers with a smile and literally getting on with her job and apologising to everyone who was kept waiting. I was astonished to learn when I asked who was the lady behind the desk ignoring us all only to be the manager! She was rude ignoring us and unhelpful to Louise who clearly needed help and was making the apologise for late open. Louise is an A+ waitress and performed professionally along with her chef Tracy who served up a lovely breakfast. I think Steph could do with some more training maybe?

Lovely late breakfast with my sister, brother in law and daughter. Great variety, nice and hot. Our server Alex was very helpful and attentive.

Waited half an hour for food (it was busy) sausage was burnt burger was burnt food in kitchen floor and staff walked past it normally the service in here is good but today’s experience was awful

Not the best experiences unfortunately was stood waiting for 5 minutes at the door before anyone came to see us then was told they would need 15 minutes to clear a table. So we sat in the pub where the toilet was leaking all over the floor and a massive fan blowing in the corner. After 15 minutes we went back over to wait another 5 minutes before being seated. Not sure why we waiting so long as the place was empty apart for 5 tables. Salad bar was empty, food over cooked and service took way to long.

Very good food and good variety of dishes

Although we have eaten here before, our recent visit at 5pm 13/1 was awful, the food was ok but the service was appalling our main meals were being bought out but still no drinks even after asking for them twice, in the end had to go up to the bar and get them myself. Salad cart not the best items missing. Don't think I will be going back again.

The food was incredible and so delicious, our server Alex F was very welcoming and kind and made sure we ordered the correct food, Jordan the chef did an absolute amazing job. I would definitely recommend coming here if you want good food and service.

Went to the Ham Farm for a birthday celebration. Allyssa and colleagues provided a warm welcome and made a lovely dinner really special. The service was brilliant throughout the evening from the salad bar through to the birthday wishes. Allyssa made us feel special throughout and made a lovely end to a fab day. Food was well cooked. We had no issues with availability from the menu. Portions a good size on both child and adult menus. Good value for money. We've been back again and once more it's the staff that make this place. Thanks this time to Jess for the great friendly service!

Staff were busy. We had to keep asking for someone to take our orders. Chips were cold and my steak was completely inedible. The rocky road desert was awful. The air conditioning above our table was filthy and the grill was missing. All in all a terrible experience which we will not be repeating.

Went for Christmas day lunch today, the woman that checked us in was rude when my husband said our name and time and the woman said my husband was wrong with the time, he wasn't, then starter came itvwas luke warm , main was cold plate and luke warm, all in all below par , it was brilliant last year 😪

Always pleasant friendly staff, salad bar is always fresh and well maintained. Main meals are always delicious and never disappoint. The only thing which lets ham farm down is the toilets which are often less than hygienic

Becky was our server today and she was so friendly, welcoming and lovely and really made sure we had everything we wanted and made sure we had a lovely experience! Would deffo return because of her! The food was also amazing and it was cooked by Henry the chef! He also made sure the salad bar was stocked up

Quite a nice place , food was good. It was quite cosy inside, but also noisy. Waitering was normal and sufficient.

Stopped on route never visited before . Fabulous food salad bowl a bonus, Alex our waiter was extremely attentive and professional and our thanks to AJ for the food ,will be back

People working there are lovely but food not great. Sadly I had to return my meal and get money back. Chicken was like sponge, very strange taste. I was not feeling safe to eat it. Gravy was so thick I could not take it out from that small metal bowl. We had a starter of garlic mushrooms. There were 6 small piece in bowl, burnt and full of oil. They used to be so nice and full bowl too! Other visit, when it came to payment, we had 2 courses for 2 people from lunch menu. Bill was much higher than it should be and it took some time to explain to waiter. We were told that's what computer showed. But it was sorted. So always check the bill. We use to love this pub but it changed a lot and probably not going back. Also adult only section in every pub would be so nice.

We booked for 19:30 & got our table just prior to that. Great atmosphere, very busy but didn’t have to wait long for Ella to attend to us, Drinks & food arrived in good time, but allowed us as a party of 6, to chat, we were never put under any pressure to eat up and move on. Food was well presented & delicious, slight problem with one dish but a full refund was offered. Ella ensured our drinks were kept topped up and the table was cleared. Will be returning early next year

Went here with my family for my birthday. Compliments to the chef, Finn, food was amazing. And Ella who made sure we had everything we wanted. Thank you to everyone there for an amazing night.

Tasha was our server today and she was an absolute pleasure. She was obviously happy in her work as she was friendly, helpful and attentive. Overall very good, lovely staff Natasha was great. We had the Christmas dinner if I were to be critical then a little more turkey and a less watery gravy would have been nice.

It’s not the best Harvester I’ve been to, and wouldn’t recommend it. On the occasions that I’ve been here, the quality of food hasn’t been great. The salad bar has either been sparse or not very fresh and some of the main dishes haven’t been of good quality. Wait times for service hasn’t been great either. Being seated and ordering was fine, but then trying to ask for the bill, actually getting the bill and paying took ridiculously long - even when it wasn’t very busy anymore.

A wonderful meal, Jess went above and beyond to ensure our party of 10 had everything we needed. The birthday candle in the brownie was a delightful treat.

What a lovely meal and experience this afternoon. Jess looked after us superbly. 40th Birthday party with a couple of rowdy kids, didn’t worry her! She interacted with us all, super patient. Service was on point. Attentive with drinks and taking of orders. Food was wonderful and piping hot. Excellent all round. Thanks Jess!

Where to start....visited on Saturday night with pre-booked table as expected it to be busy. It was busy, and then some. That wouldn't be an issue, however there was a distinct lack of staff on service and I assume in the kitchen. On being seated, we waited approx. 10 minutes for our order to be taken, which given how busy it was, was quite good. Order placed, drinks arrived and off to the salad bar which was horiffic. Absolutely decimated and absolutely filthy. 10 minutes later, no difference and no re-stock. Assumed food would be on its was so remained at the table with increasing hungry and hangry kids. 40 (yes, 40) minutes later our "food" arrived. Chips on 3 meals were luke warm, and on one meal cold. On raising the issue with the server, we were asked if we'd like to keep them or would rather some hot ones. Once hot chips were recieved, consumption of the food ensued. I've never had a cremated gammon steak but this one was black. Plus two solid eggs. Nice. Kids meals were greasy, with forgotten brand. Rather than wait, we decided to eat up, get the kids desserts and leaveOr so we thought. We were subjected to a further wait whist no less than THREE staff members dossed about clearing one small table, including the manager on shift who decided the quickest way to clear the table was to sit down at it to do so while the other two laughed on. In the end, we left our table, paid at the till and left. The final straw was the filthy toilets. One leaking christ knows what all over the toilet floor whilst the other was a filthy, sticky mess. Not one to return to I'm afraid. Yuk!

The waiter was not grate. You don't get plates to put your rolls on. No salt.... The original combo was basically chicken drumstick and the ribs looked like road kill and so small. Then later that night did not feel great.Not going here again

Apologies, I gave 31 as my door number I am 33. Excellent delivery and amazingly quick after I placed the order. Thank you to a very polite and pleasant delivery gentleman.. Could have done no better than he did..so yes BIG thank you.

Had a stunning dinner which arrived so quickly our server Becky was so friendly and lovely to chat to she made sure our needs were met, we can be fussy eaters and it was absolutely no hassle to remove things off a certain meal she made us feel really comfortable and made it really easy had no worries at all the food was absolutely amazing my partner got a steak medium rare was cooked exactly how he likes it / asked for, this is our go to restaurant
