Very nice food. Amazing doner kebabs. Chips are also nice and crispy. Chilli sauce is delicious However, this place only accepts cash, and there isn't even a cashpoint nearby. Many times I have avoided coming here because I don't have cash. Give us the option of cash or card please!

Definitely one of my favourites been around for years. First time i went when i was 11 Yr old in 1990/1991 to get food for my little bro, sis, mum & myself. Best chips always fresh soft drenched with loads of salt n vinegar, they are never shy with their salt, vinegar & onion juice. Their donor buns, donor rolls and fish is spectacular. This has always been a family run business from what I remember. Very nice people. Great efficient service, ideal location for those driving up from visiting family in southall, getting back home late towards Northolt Greenford & Harrow. Great pick up for family & kids if dinner is running late.

Nothing beats Harry's fish and chips if you are on the go during a quick lunch break.

Poor.. food is horrible.. still no card machines which is clearly suspect and inconvenient for customers. Go to Greenford chippy. 👍

Can't rate any higher until we can pay by card, this day and age, cash being the only way pay is stupid, I've seen ice cream vans offer contactless. To the one tool saying go to the cash machine and get that little thing called cash out, there are no immediate cash machines available and I often don't even have my bank card, just my phone. There are other kebab shops local to this which accept card and it's where I go, get with the times!!

We are not big fans of deep fried food but sometimes why not.We jumped here and we were served with most fresh food we could get, and owner has served us like we were a part of family.Like good uncle! We definitely coming back!!

I had never had that much oily fish in my life we ordered 2 fish and chips and fish is full of oily and you can even smell oil is also out of date ,and chips is sogge too.horbel experience and very expensive too

Absolutely awful. I asked for portion of fresh chips so they would be hot. They asked me to wait 5 mins. I could see they had cooked some but they basically didn’t pour me the hot ones and gave me the old warm to cold batch that were sitting there from before. You would know if something had come out of the fryer your hands would be hot holding the packet plus I live literally 5 mins away from this place my chips no joke we’re cold when I got home. Seriously gone down hill this place!

This fish and chip shop is consistently brilliant....one time I made the man cook some pineaple rings. which he did..... now ten yrs later... its still lovely.. and the pretty eastern euopean girl is still there... butthe best is new potato time..... the chips are dangerously yummy..... we do a ten mile journey just for this.......

Fantastic fish & chip shop that I have found after too long. Stopped to buy fish & chips for a friend & had a lovely conversation about Old Southall. Will definitely be back again because the food was as good as a top restaurant.

Was told to wait for 15 mins for small fish and chips so ended up buying large instead but the fish is cold and dry. I used this place quite often but last few times the food has been very low standard.

The donner here is outstanding. The flavour is different from other places... very meaty and chickeny with minimal greese, fat and oils. The cut of the meat is lovely as not overly thick and certainly not thin.... one thing which is surprising but welcome is that this place has donner meat which tastes equally amazing 3 hours later when cold.... it doesn't dry out...very unusual. The flavour is unique and the love that goes into making a donner kabaab in pitta with your salad is clearly notable. chips are excellent also, fresh clean and never oily...portions are very generous. the sausage is amazing and I have nothing to compare it to. Try it.

This place is a staple in Southall and Greenford. The owner is unbelievably kind and professional, I would go so far as to describe him as too generous. The chips are standard hand cut thick chips and the fish is well battered and crispy on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. Especially recommend the standard battered cod and chips. Order a small chips and you’ll have enough to feed 3 people.

Not impressed with the portions and customer service was terrible. It's a shame as it was one of the best in this area, won't be returning

This place has been open for longer than most of us have been alive. the service is great, the food is lovely, the atmosphere is great and the staff are lovely. They do not take card payments but don't let that stop you. just go to the cash point and get some cash!!! you know, that money thing that use to rattle in your pocket, the paper money that use to fit in your wallet or purses. This cash can be exchanged for products.....! in any case, to all the people giving this place a bad review, i think this is a reflection on you rather than Harrys fish bar!

Excellent fish and chips. Delicious but slightly large portion of chips. I struggled to finish it and so some chips thrown away. Service was very good and fast. **Only one negative is that they only accept CASH which is a bit inconvenient for people like me who does not carry cash anymore. But there is a cash machine not too far from this shop **

I’ve just had the most lovely service in here, from a true gentleman. They unfortunately don’t take card payment and I’m always relying on using my phone to make payment. I ran back to the car to dig around for any spare cash that may have fallen down the seats 😆 I found a couple of coins but not enough to pay for what I’d ordered. The gentleman was so sweet and said I can drop in the rest when I next pass by. I honestly couldn’t believe how kind he was and honestly, I’d have just cancelled the order but I didn’t want to take away my business for the sake of being a cashless customer. Instead, I gratefully accepted his offer and I will of course drop in with the outstanding amount, as well as return to order more now that I’ve tasted the chips- they’re the best, proper chip shop chips that I’ve had in years! In the meantime, I hope that this review will encourage many more customers to eat from Harry’s. Just remember it’s cash only 😊

The worst takeaway shop I've ever been to, had a cod fish was oily disgusting was like fried 10 times, asked for a fork the look he gave me like horrible, after I finished eating asked him where to put the rubbish if he can take it, he told me it's across the road use the outside one which was surprising. Harry’s fish bar is a great place to get your fish and chips . It’s clean and friendly. I miss that veggie nuggets in pitta bread they did so well though as they don’t do them anymore .

Was gonna go for a nice walk today and grab some fish and chips for the first time in ages, just had that nagging feeling haha. But looking at the reviews it seems like they don't accept card. Not worth it I'll just stick to Uber Eats and chill at home haha.

First time visit. Bought a kebab wrap as tastes better than pitta bread in my opinion. Enjoyed.

Certi little place to get late night munch from when you’re on a bashaal ting. However, my only problem is that they don’t take card. Cmon bro it’s 2022! I’m giving it a 3 and not a 4 because it’s yet again another place that doesn’t accept card in a CASHLESS SOCIETY! Man can’t even get a young 5 sheet from a ATM. The worst part is the main metrics which affect my rating aren’t even their fault. They say cash I say “say no more” but the nearest ATM is a bop. Man are saying go Tesco, the other option is the mediocre ATM opposite but that’s not a ATM that’s daylight robbery. And I say that respectfully. To conclude what I will say is they would have got a 5 out of me but guess what the last place I went to didn’t accept card either so I’ve come into this place to then see “Cash Only”, but maybe that’s how you judge if a place has good food if they don’t accept card because it seems to be a common theme. Nevertheless good people! 👍🏾

Have used this chip shop for years, they are the best.

Went in for a fish and chips for the first time and the last. Fish was very oily and soggy, bottom layer of batter was so soggy/oily that it just stuck to the wrapping paper.

I have never been disappointed. Staff polite and friendly. Shop hygene absolutely 💯 % clean. Everything that can be moved is moved to clean top, behind and under. The best fish and chip shop in the area and the only take away i could trust whilst receiving chemo. I recommend them.

Service was outstanding but unfortunately the quality of food was poor. Battered sausage was soggy, zero crispy and chips were raw. Cod was edible but did not compliment the whole meal. Also they do not accept card payments considering the current pandemic..very disappointing experience. Will not be going back there again or recommending...

The fish and chips taste fab - however the reason why I am giving it 2 stars is because they serve way too fast and don’t listen to instructions. The white lady (i do not know her name) that works there puts the chips in super fast and starts wrapping, its like someone is chasing her 🤦‍♀️… she really should calm down a little and listen to the customer’s instructions clearly. I would understand that she’s working at lightning speed if there was a queue of customers queuing out the door but every time I have gone in I have been the only customer in their. Some people might want a little extra salt a little more vinegar some chilli sauce etc, but you have to keep asking her to unwrap the paper and add more salt because she wraps it up so fast without asking you if theres anything else you’d like on your chips🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Just calm down lady. Like slow down a little. I hope my comments reach her.

The Food is ok but the portions of Food IE, Chips, Donar Kebabs are so small no matter if you get Large, so very Disappointed in the amount of food you get compared to all the other Fish Chips Shops, and this is what others also say about the portions size, So kindly make your portions larger so people come back regularly

This gem of a chip shop is absolutely amazing. Quality, speed of service, cleanliness and great tasting food; what more do you ask for? Personally the Cod and chips are my favourite; but the Donor kebabs are a close second. It’s a family run business running for generations so must be doing something right; I highly recommend it.

In terms of chippies, it's pretty good. As per any fish and chips shop you'll find the obligatory items (cod and chips etc), but they also do so doner in pitta/burger or served standalone. They do an excellent masala fish, I'd recommend it. You're gonna find quite long queues of Friday evening. You can order ahead by phone, but it might not guarantee you won't have to wait when you get there. You'll also have to deal with the eclectic mix of people Southall has to offer.

I have tried a number of takeaways around this area, so far, Harrys has been the best one. The food is excellent and always been consistent, service and staff are always nice. I have been coming here for the last two years and never been let down. The family loves the freshness of the food.

Have used Harrys for over 30 years now! Food always top notch, staff friendly and welcoming even when they are busy :) Best takeaway in w.London by a long way. The ONLY place I would ever eat a doner kebab from when I have not had a beer before 🙂 as it is always clean tasting and so good. That, is a recommendation by itself! and the fish is absolutely wonderful, always fresh and tasty.😋

Due to Covid we could not celebrate the birthdays of my Cousin & Friend in the way we would have liked so decided to do a Fish & Chip Supper at Home. Nick the Owner went above and beyond to help make it a most enjoyable Evening by providing the most delicious Fish & Chips freshly cooked served in individual boxes (saving us the Washing Up) and included free vinegar, mushy peas and curry sauce. An even nicer touch is that when I arrived to collect the Food he gave a gift bag with the most lovely drinks jars/straws filled with chocolates not only for the two Birthday Girls but for also my other Cousin and myself. Such a lovely touch. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all 4 of us and we are really grateful to Nick for the extra special touches. I have been using this Fish & Chip for years and the food has always been excellent and also the best Service from Nick and his Staff. Thank you again Nick you are an absolute Star and so appreciated by the four of us.
