Harry Gow Bakery in Highland

Well respected local baker. Bread, pastries, pies, cakes, and their signature marzipan apple. In more recent years they've started selling tea & coffee, and soup & sandwiches for lunch. And of course they're known for their bespoke birthday cakes.

This bakery is a great location to have small bites when hungry they have a nice atmosphere with lovely staff with tasty food overall a great place to consider. We had chocolate muffin, cheese and onion toast and cream bun. Rate 4 out of 5. You can order live croissants on Monday and Wednesday.

A great place , as always. Today, We had one of most wonderful hot chocolate we ever had.

Delicious range of breads, rolls and cakes but all at a higher price due to the quality on offer. Treat yourself if you can afford it. Well known in the wider area for their produce.

Good bakery but terrible coffee. Paid 2.45 for a auto coffee machine. You have better and cheaper coffee at Tesco

It was our first time at Harry Gow's and our first time in Scotland. I had seen this bakery on a food show and decided that if we would visit Scotland then this would be on my list of places to eat. Well, I have to say that it did not disappoint, the Scotch pies were absolutely delicious and their donuts were so yummy! The ladies that assisted me were so lovely and so helpful on what to purchase. I will definitely miss this place when we return to the states. Thank you, Harry Gow for delicious yumminess!!!

When's the cafe coming? This was something that was promised 8 years ago. Lovely food I go there a lot Culloden needs a nice cafe.

I like Harry Gow goods but I was disappointed by the service here. The woman was rushed and walked away before I'd finished giving my order. I then got given the wrong thing and had to wait outside before being able to go back in to amend it. Probably won't stop here again.

£8.75 for 2 pies and a soup @nth Kessock..rip off won't be back.Compared to Macleans of Forres just over £5 and the pies are better too.

Dreadful. £6.30 for 2 steak pies, one of which had been on the hot plate too long. Meat chewy and pastry disintegrating. Very disappointing. Never again.

Absolutely lovely bakery, great selection of cakes it's hard to choose which one you want! The marzipan apples are particularly delicious.

I have visited the Keith shop several times. Each time I visit I receive friendly service and the food is always spot on. Staff make you feel valued as a customer!

Great soup but there needs to be gluten free options, other than a meringue! Even if they had gluten free rolls at least.

I love Harry Gow bread, especially the oaten loaf. Their cakes are so fresh and tasty, just like and often better than home baking - favourites are the fresh cream jam sponge and the fern cake. Mmmmmmmm. My husband and son love Harry's pies and sausage rolls while I am very partial to his potato scones, soft and scrumptious - just like my mum used to make. It's a family bakery loved by all my family.

Outstanding bakery! Better than Greggs of course. Lots of fresh delicious food including sandwiches, cakes, pastries, hot food and breakfast food. Staff are always very nice and service is very quick. Recommended to everyone!

I love the snowballs and the sliced bread. I love the carrot cakes and the birthday slices as well. The addition of the chocolate snowball is great!

I love the food at Harry Gow’s and especially i look forward to the delicious Tomato soup on Fridays ...their freshly made rolls and pies are also very tasty. ... but I so wish I was informed as to the fat/sugar contents in their food ...

Pedimos un pastel de carne en la tienda de Seafield Road el 18 de enero. Me preguntaron si lo quería caliente o frío, y respondió "caliente". Salí 2. 75 en efectivo para pagar según la lista de precios que se muestra, y me dijeron que era 3. 30 "porque se había calentado". 20% de aumento para la calefacción? ? ? ? . Aumento de precio no indicado en la lista de precios. Estafa sangrienta, y no volveré

Pasé por los rollos de salchicha y terminé obteniendo un pastel de carne también. El rollo de salchicha no estaba mal, nada genial, pero no está mal. Pastelería muy escamosa y sabrosa, pero el relleno de salchicha era bastante suave y la textura era más blanda que prefiero.La tarta de carne era excelente. Corteza bien hecha que era escamosa, pero con buena estructura. La carne estaba tierna y en buenos trozos. La salsa era carnosa con la cantidad justa de sal.Un muy buen lugar para un desayuno rápido o para tomar una deliciosa panadería.

As always the girls at the Fairways shop are amazing. The Dream Rings fly off the shelves. The staff are happy are friendly and only happy to help in any way. Visit once a month at least.Not a restaurant but a bakers shop.

No place to eat. Selection limited. But what they have is very good to eat. Grandson loved his panini. Hot and cheesy. My quiche was tasty. Chocolate eclair was just OK. Americano very good. Great service. Big crown at lunch time from local school.

For quick bites on the hoof, this is a really good stop. Great value and great choice and all fresh out of the oven. If you want a taste of good Highland food, give it a go or splurge completely!

Stop here fairly regularly for lunch, always good bacon rolls, nice staff and excellent cake's. Who needs a Greg's when you have real bakers in town

Really yummy and great equality

i'm usually a really hungry girl for cakes, but since harry gow have discontinued my all time favorite batten-burg i haven felt the same. im extremely hopeful that mr.gow will bring this back as i would love to gorge on his batten burg till it was SICK.

i am very single and tend to eat when im down it comforts me as i do not have anyone to cuddle at night, anyways i am giving it such a great review as they made me feel very welcome and a very non-judgmental enviroment. thank you Harry gow for a yummy cake. p.s please bring back battenburgs, yours sincerly

Pooped in here to order some cakes to take back home with me, lovely bright building and staff very pleasant, had a sausage and bacon roll which was delicious and my hubby had a tuna roll which he thoroughly enjoyed, would defiantly recommend if in the area

I am in every Friday for my 90yr old Aunt who like myself can no see past their baking!! I now however usually have to pass in every Wednesday for their Chicken soup!!! Yum yum!!

Popped into harry gows bakery in brora for lunch time snacks,we got filled rolls,sausage rolls and cakes which where delicious,staff where very friendly and helpful,i would recommend it if you are ever in brora

Picked up some sausage rolls, which were very good. Followed up by the best snowball ever - wpuld really recommend, everything looked good and the staff were friendly too.

Just back from holiday ordered sandwiches sausage rolls and a birthday cake, so easy to order and all delivered where I wanted and on time, great service, and everything was delicious

We picked up a quick bite here and were pleasantly surprised by our first meat pies and sausage rolls. I could have eaten another, but sadly, we were already on the road! The coffee was great, too! Definitely recommend!

Love Harry Gows, being able to swing by on the way to Inverness for everything, it's a real bonus. Hot soup and drinks, lovely sandwich rolls and delicious bakers. What more could you ask for.

I always buy the Rye Bread and i love it the best bread in U.K, cakes and chocolate are also amazing. Bakery is clean, staff friendly. The only one minus is you need be fast as if you dont get bread in the morning sells out fast

We visited the bakery after going on a dog walk up the road at Culloden Forest. We opted for a chocolate muffin and a meringue, we sat in our car and ate them both and then I sent my husband back in for two more muffins as I'd enjoyed mine so much! We also bought a sausage roll which was lovely. We're on holiday in the area and already planning to return before we go home

This is one of the best places you could visit throughout the highlands of Scotland. The selection of filled rolls is perfectly limited but the options for everything else is what makes it. When you look at the cake options, well what can you say apart from 'great scot' the best is their dream ring, but you might want to try the lot. When it comes to soup the rice and chicken is the best but you'll want to visit everyday to try them all.

Most excellent food and service. We always stop here on the way into the office for a breakfast roll and a coffee!

You are always guaranteed a great selection of bread, pies, cakes, biscuits. All take away - with several outlets spread across Inverness and beyond. Their soup is fab, filled rolls made to order. Dream rings are still the trademark cake - single or you can order as a birthday cake!! Not the cheapest bakers, but if you want the best ...,

Celebrating my Mums 90th Birthday, lots of family here for occasion. When looking to order birthday cake discovered "little known world of Harry gow" ordered filled rolls and sausage rolls, great choice of fillings and variety of rolls, and have to say absolutely delicious and all very fresh, was able to pick them up at Coop Telford Street very close to home. Would definately do this again. Must also say cake was also delicious. Thank you.
