Harrolds Indian in Bedford

AVOID!!!!!!! Never Delivered and Never updated me to say the order had been cancelled. I Pre ordered for a delivery at 20:45, the order was accepted, I got notification that the deliver was enroute at 20:40. At this point I understood my delivery would probably be 20 minutes late, I appreciate this being new years eve. By 21:30 my food hadn't arrived, by this time if it had I thought it would be cold so would. Try to call the restaurant who were avoiding all calls. Eventually get through at 21:49 asking for an update of order. To get 'all orders are cancelled and then they hung up. Not even an apology, I mean on new years eve where else do you get a new order for Indian food. Completely ruined my night!!!!! I would have re ordered from here again as the food is nice, if they would have just declined the order, or called my apologising earlier to say they can't keep to their commitment, that wouldn't have been a problem and I could have re ordered from elsewhere and for them not even to apologise. Please, if you want your food on time or even delivered dont order from here!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my husband driving through harrold to visit family, asked one of the locals where was the best place to go for quick takeaway, they advised Harrolds indian is the best in the village. We ordered the muntjac mixed special, and my gosh it was soooo lovely. You have to try! Considering i am asian we are fussy on our spices but this just did it, fusion of flavours just hit my tongue. Deffo recommend, i would be coming back here again.

Apologies for leaving a 1 star, but the quality of my take away was appalling. Chicken Korma was like coconut soup, chicken tikka, tasted nothing like it, rice was extremely poor and a little stingy, bombay potatoes, nothing alike, and onion bhaji inedible. I'm truly sorry, but the flavouring needs big improvements ! Microwaved heated, as went cold very quickly...Gutted :(. Hope things improve in the future.

My Son Isaac turned 16 today 7th May. Obviously because of the Corona pandemic we couldn’t go out. A few weeks ago I read that Harrold’s Indian was a brand new restaurant taking over from the previous ‘Spices’ that had been there before, and the villagers in Harrold and further afield where I am raved about them. So, we gave them a try and thought the food was lovely. That was a few weeks ago... Wondering what to do for food for his Birthday tea, the boy told me he fancied a curry. Remembering Harrold’s, Yesterday, I sent a message to Harrold’s Indian telling them it was my Son’s special birthday and asking if they could cater for us at a specific time. The customer service I received yesterday and today from enquiry, to order, through to delivery was absolutely spot on. They were so kind and so generous. We’re a family of five and the cost was very very reasonable. My Husband had a hot Salmon dish. I pinched some because he said it was amazing and it really was. We all had rice. I love Tarka Dhall but it has to be thick. I asked them to make it thick for me and they made it beautifully. There was nothing wasted. We ate until we were stuffed and satisfied. The food was hot on arrival which is important to us (and we’re a good 5 miles away) Will we be back? You bet we will. Thank you Harrold’s Indian. We can’t wait to see you again! I wish you every success. Don’t take notice of the negative review on here. That is clearly for the previous owners. If you live in or around Harrold, then the brand new Harrold’s Indian Is a must to try. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again.

It’s the first time we used this Indian take way , we won’t be using it again , The majority of the food went in the bin , worst Tikka Massala and tandoori chicken we have ever eaten and we have eaten a few over our the years , On a positive the mixed starter although chewy had good flavours and the vegetable samosa was good We did highlight to the restaurant who were very apologetic and did offer a free meal which was good . It may take a while if ever based on this experience
