What has happened? Unwelcoming who couldn’t raise a smile on nitros oxide ….. over cooked toasted sandwich which it was impossible to cut with the nasty plastic cutlery (which was not on show in an obvious place - other things like straws cup-carriers on a window sill) and the toastie was squished and served in a box not a plate and horrid paper cups….. when did H & H get so basic certainly won’t waste my money here again ….. From a 10 to a 2

I have always been a keen supporter of this super coffee shop- it has always been something to look forward to after a shop. However, today was so disappointing. Slow service, long queue but I was patient. After taking my order the girl serving made a drink for a Tesco staff member who was after me in the queue. Then her colleague joined her and then just talked and talked- still no coffee. When I asked for brown sugar I was told it was on the shelf- I had already checked- it was empty! Bring back Holly- she was such a great manager! I’m afraid the current staff are not customer focused. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but today it was deserved. Sorry!

This place is a joke. At 8.30am, one hour after opening, all the chairs are upside down on the tables. You have to sort it out yourself if you want to sit down. Staff member could not be less helpful or interested.

Not been to this branch but have tried several others, always good coffee and snacks. And they make it the way you want.

We visited this cafe for coffees and although it wasn't busy, we couldn't find a clean area in which to sit. There was food and napkins around the floor of every table. Clearly, there is no cleaning policy in this establishment so goodness only knows what goes on in the kitchen. Definitely won't be re-visiting.

Their teapots are attractive and hold a goodly amount of tea. The trouble is that in a sizeable pot you may need more than one teabag. So when the tea came out a little weak I asked politely for another teabag. At which point the server headed for the till and when I asked why she explained that it was in order to charge me for the teabag. After I did a 'You cannot be serious' moment she gave me one, grudgingly, without charge. Not impressed and that has never happened in any other cafe in which I have needed another teabag. One more point - in the area where you help yourself to sugar, etc., there are no serviettes. If you want one you must ask the barista. That was also a new experience for me. Every other cafe I have been in has them by the sugar for you to help yourself.

We visited twice last week , on Saturday and Monday mornings. Overall, we were very impressed, particularly with the friendly service we received from the same member of staff on both occasions. On the Monday visit the young lady (sorry we don’t know your name!) remembered how we had ordered our coffee on the Saturday. Very impressed as we are not local to the store and had never visited before. The coffee was very good as were the croissant and pain au raisin. We could also see that the young lady was friendly and helpful towards other customers too. Her standard of service is to be commended. If we visit Burgess Hill again we will certainly return.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Service good. Food was very tasty and prices reasonable. Well worth a visit.

It's ok for a snack or a drink if you are doing your shopping in Tesco, Burgess Hill, but not worth the trip otherwise.

We had an egg and mushroom roll and a pig in blanket sandwich for breakfast which werent very inspiring, to say the least. Not enough choice for breakfast, compared to Sainsbury in Crawley

Was going shopping anyway so this seemed logical. Very limited choice of food despite it being lunchtime. Only one person serving. Food was OK, not brilliant. Took a while for it to arrive. Pleasant staff member.

Just great! Wonderful service, great tea and coffee, fabulous snacks... Completely recommendable!!! The baristas are always happy to help and have a permanent smile on their face!!!

Visited to get a drink and a cake... Staff attitude was disgusting and the wait for the items was ridiculous. As for the state of the place, well if EHO visits they will have a field day... Tables filthy makes me feel sick One place to avoid.

Met a friend for a coffee here. The place was generally filthy - food and crumbs all over the floor and everywhere, which was hi-lighted nicely by the sun streaming in. The fabric chairs in the corner are so stained that no one should use them. The staff heard my private discussions and brought out a broom and pan whilst we were sitting there and maniacally sprayed some tables. I’d not thought of having coffee there before and I certainly shall not again.

I popped in here with my daughter before we did our shopping and really glad we did. My daughter had a toasted cheese sandwich and I had a delicious New York style toasted sandwich. Both were very tasty (so much so that I have been back a few times). The coffee shop was relatively quiet with plenty of tables with some comfy looking armchairs in the corner. Free water is provided as are newspapers if you fancy a read. A lovely place to have a drink/bite to eat.

I can only assume that everyone who has given a good review for Harris & Hoole cafe has more money than sense, Its the most expensive supermarket cafe ever, intended to get lunch lunch here but left after reading prices.

Delighted to stumble upon this coffee shop, surprisingly quiet despite being inside a Tesco supermarket, decor a little tired but stylish. Food and coffee was excellent and the staff were just lovely. Well worth a visit

I always pop here for a coffee when in Tesco. In my opinion the coffee is so much better than the large coffee chains. They also make it a temperature you can actually drink.

Tea not that warm but they do a smashing gingerbread man I think that they are the best in town. Would recommend it to others.

Good cupper could of been hotter and could been been nicer but at the end of the day it was ok. May go back again.

If you tuck yourself around the corner you can escape the din of the supermarket and chill for a moment with the complementary newspaper. Friendly staff and a great food selection including quality sausage rolls not found at the 3 other national chains.

This outlet is more of a Snack bar than a place to dine. It is located within the Tesco Burgess Hill store and offers a wide range of cakes and rolls etc. The Tea and Coffee are good quality and freshly made and the place is well provided with a comfortable range of seating.It closes, however, during the evening.

A relaxing environment with good coffee and food, with friendly staff. Always a pleasure to stop off here when doing the shopping or getting the car washed.

Una muy buena experiencia en este lugar limpio y sin pretensiones, algo mejor que un café y no un restaurante bastante. Un buen tamaño de té en pot un buen juego de té, excelente rollitos de salchicha, prensa diaria y una actitud personal de tarifa. Precios razonables y aparcamiento gratuito justo fuera. Para mí, excepto el pan recién horneado en la panadería en la tienda principal de tesco, H&H; son el único motivo de mi vista a visitar.

Beautiful, large hot coffee with a gorgeous muffin. Very pleasant and helpful staff. A delight to rest up after shopping.

Esta fue la primera vez que visitaba un Harris & Hoole (mi marido había ido a uno una vez antes en Londres) y me sorprendió gratamente.

Un salto en el café de la mañana normal para mi correos etc.. Una vez más, parece ser una extensión de la sala de entrenamiento de tienda o de cantina. No muy profesional, ya que no estaban pidiendo.

Pedí un café americano con crema de vertido en el lado dijeron, crema no era servido, ya que cargaba la café.

Pedí un sándwich de desayuno día, pedimos ketchup y me dijeron que se había acabado. Realmente!!! Seguramente hay una manera de conseguir algo de Tesco que es m. Cosas como esta que lo bajan.

Mi marido y yo a menudo tienen un café y algo de comer cuando vamos a hacer nuestras compras. Harris & Hoole es un lugar agradable, con un ambiente encantador, café, etc. es simplemente encantadora, llena de sabor fresco y siempre con una sonrisa.

I love this place. Nice place to sit, always kept clean and tidy and the staff are just so friendly and helpful plus the cherry on the top - the food is great too and reasonably priced!

No estábamos seguros de Tesco cierre su restaurante y apertura como una tienda de café, pero fue una jugada excelente. Incluso si no compras, H & H es nuestro destino favorito por su amplia variedad de cafés. Un montón de pasteles atractivos, pasteles y aperitivos (incluyendo algunos sin gluten pero podría ser más) y siempre amable, hablador personal y sin preocupaciones. Uno de los mejores lugares para tomar una taza de café decente. Automáticamente sirven leche más fresco para llevar el sabor, así que tienes que pedir un café caliente si lo prefieres igual que yo. También como sus bollos y pastas. Para el almuerzo es difícil de superar su sándwich de queso tostado con una pizca de mostaza. El personal siempre alegre y atento. Una de las mejores tarjetas de fidelización alrededor - comprar 6 consiga uno gratis.

Always good to park , coffee good as is the bacon bap, and the almond and rhubarb cake was to die for but they have stopped offering it at the moment, please bring it back

Un ambiente encantador en esta cafetería y el café y té estaba bueno. Te dan un reloj del huevo con el té, así que es preparado por exactamente el momento adecuado. Tienen una buena selección de panecillos rellenos pero se les había acabado de la ensalada de cangrejo azul relleno de novia y fruta fresca. El personal era muy atento y el gerente, Luis, es magnífico.
