Harleys in Chesterfield

My room was comfortable and clean. It had plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Had a smart tv and a decent shower. The ladies in the bar were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast the next morning was tasty and good value at £7.95 for a small, including a hot drink. A couple of minor negatives are. The hireable venue opposite may keep people awake for a while. It depends on how much of a light sleeper you are. Also, the room was really bright early in the morning.

Been living in the area 25yrs and never ever felt so unwelcome and spoke to like that in my life .... brought my family in to support local businesses ..... I can't advice to stay away from this place enough and shall make sure everyone locally knows how disgusting we was treated

Was very dissapointed with the room i stayed in last night, 15/10/2024, the room had a really bad smell when i walked in, the skirting boards were thick with dust, splashes of god knows what down the door to the not so clean bathroom, i found myself on my hands and knees cleaning the skirting boards and also wiping doors, and everything else i could before i even thought of getting in the bed, never before has this happened, always stop here and never had a problem until yesterday! Not goingTo pay £60 for a night to have to clean it!

We booked for one night stay at Harley's.Met with a warm welcome.Room very comfortable, and clean.Breakfast very good.Staff very friendly and nothing to much trouble.The front of the pub does not give credit to the inside which is nicely decorated.Prehap's some flower pot's !!! We would return if visiting family again.

We visited friends who were staying in the hotel and had breakfast with them. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were really lovely.

We go to Harley's most Wednesdays with our walking group. We have coffee and food. The 2 course lunches are excellent value. Lovely friendly efficient service!!

We had a long wait for our Christmas dinner but when we got it it was very good, service was good, great family meal.

Sunday lunch lovely great banter with ladlord and wife

Excellent stopover after a wedding reception, staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier both on arrival and departure. The room was basic but extremely comfortable, would highly recommend.

Easy access to parking and it is well lit. There is wheelchair access to the front door, which leads to a public bar. I was quickly and pleasantly attended to, breakfast details sorted, and shown to my room. The room looked modern, clean and adequate for my needs, with kettle and tea/coffee sachets, and a TV. Everything works very well and the walk in shower is clean and modern. I noticed immediately the noise from the road as this room faces the front of the hotel, this persisted into the early hours (Sat/Sun) mainly from passing pedestrians and speeding motorbikes making their way home, so ask for rear room if this may bother you. Breakfast is served to your requirements I.e. time, size and specifics. It's a relatively limited choice but extremely good value and very generous portions 👏 Overall a pleasant stay, very nice people
