Good food but staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered. Lots of things out of stock including both desserts for the kids deal (wouldn't have minded that if we were informed beforehand instead of after paying full price and eating the main). Overall ok, but probably wouldn't go back.

Food was just frozen cooked supermarket. Slow sevice and quite expensive for what you get.

Ordered food and drinks waited 45 minutes, other peoples food were being taken to tables so I went up to the counter to ask for an update to find out my order not to even been started so had to be refunded

First visit to this cafe whilst we were in Wales on a holiday and it was brilliant. Best cooked breakfast I've eaten in a long time, and the bacon was to die for. The play area was great for keeping my 2 year old occupied whilst the food was cooking and to burn some energy off after her meal. The 2 ladies running it were lovely and friendly. Would be back again next time we're in the area

Can't comment on the food as we only had coffee and tea, but what we saw looked delicious. Great place to take kids as they can spend up to 1.5 hrs in the small play centre here, including food and a drink, for £7.50.

Absolutely no respect from all staff bar one young girl who seemed to be the one running around cleaning up other staffs mess ups food was cold chef came out kicking off bringing out a bloody probe the sausage woman serving miserable short changing then arguing about it stay away from the place its a shambles.

My recent visit to The corner Cafe left me highly disappointed and frustrated due to their absence customer service. While the establishment may boast about their food, their lack of attention and respect towards their patrons made the overall experience far from enjoyable. From the moment I stepped into the café, it was evident that the staff had no interest in creating a welcoming environment. They were impolite and seemed disinterested in assisting customers. I had to wait an unreasonably long time just to be acknowledged, and any attempts to get their attention were met with dismissive attitudes. Moreover, the employees demonstrated a complete lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. Their rudeness was evident as they ignored requests, had no knowledge about their own menu items, and displayed a general apathy towards customer satisfaction. It is astonishing how a place that prides itself on good food can have such a disregard for the people who keep their business running. The absence of any sort of customer care training among the staff members is apparent. It's as if they believe their top-notch food alone will secure their success, allowing them to forego any effort when it comes to providing satisfactory service. Unfortunately, this neglect towards customers tarnishes any good that their food might offer. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the corner cafe solely due to their atrocious customer service. No matter how delicious the food might be, it is impossible to overlook the lack of respect and consideration shown by the staff. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity and courtesy when dining out, and sadly, this establishment fails miserably in that regard. Save yourself the frustration and seek out a place where good food is complemented by exemplary customer service.

Went in here after a fun day in Rhyl with my daughter and granddaughter. Despite the run-down appearance, the food was excellent. However, only half our order arrived, there had been a miscommunication by the staff and the chef, the food eventually arrived 35 minutes later, we asked the waitress about compensation she said to sort it with the more senior staff on till. In the meantime she gave us more drinks, when we finally asked at the till we were told no refund would be provided as we'd had the drinks, we were most aggrieved and won't be going to this cafe again, my daughter was especially upset 💔 😢 not good, come on Rhyl we thought you were better than this

Food was not cooked very well and had run out of a lot of the menu

Atmosphere was fine. There was no customer service, just looked like some teenage kids running a cafe. The food was horrible. We went there at 12pm so expected to have dinner. Kids wanted sausage and chips but they had no chips left. So we had breakfast instead. Sausage was bland. Beans had been left out as there was a skin on them. Black pudding was like a brick and the bacon was cold but burnt I think it had been cooked this morning and then warmed back up. I’m not sure what butter they use but it tasted horrible. And what they call a large Pepsi is the size of a standard any where else. Looks ok from the outside but I was very disappointed we didn’t even eat it. We basically paid £25 for our 2 kids to play in the soft play for 10mins tea. Waste of money.

Visited here yesterday for lunch and what a lovely little place it was! The staff was lovely and the food was delicious definitely recommend and will be visiting again ☺️

Just had a large breakfast and a latte. The latte tasted like creamy milk.The breakfast was obviously mostly microwaved. We asked for sausages to be well cooked and they were undercooked and tasteless.The eggs were undercooked. The bacon was like cardboard, hard and tough. The mushrooms were drowning in grease. The fried bread smelt of old, stale fat and was horrible and the toast was soggy.The hash browns was undercooked, tasteless and disgusting! The beans served in a ramekin had a skin on them. The black pudding was rock hard and tasteless. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we left we realised it was only 1 star. It was lucky to get 1 star off us! £20 wasted. I didn't even want to use the toilets, I rushed out and went elsewhere!

Not that impressed. Over cooked eggs/bacon and the chocolate milkshake tastes like chemicals 😔

I had a really nice breakfast with the family the kids played in the soft play and the staff were really friendly.

Omg avoid at all cost. Place should be closed down over the absolute dirt of the place!! Shocking was never in a more dirty cafe in my life!

Food is good for the price. Little disappointing that a cafe does not serve any type of cake as we would have enjoyed a coffee and cake whilst the kids played. But it's clean and the staff are friendly

Not a good start. Have been here before and highly reviewed unfortunately definitely not now. Waiting to choose food kids too excited to go in play barn, staff charged £3.50 although offer if eating cheaper yet they refused point blank to take price off the meal. Explanation was managers won't let them. Menu now poor and place unclean had to ask them to wipe down tables which they did 1 in a fashion

We had a coffee and took our grandson to play in the ballpool he really enjoyed it

We visited as a family thinking it was a good option for our little one to play. It was nearly £50 altogether- for extremely mediocre food. My cup of tea was Luke warm. The windows are filthy, the cutlery wasn’t very clean, the glasses our drinks came in were also not very clean. Soft play is good though.

Visited last week, my son had a play date with his friend, they had a lovely time. Staff were so nice and friendly and the food was amazing. Will definitely return.

8 year old had fun in the soft play & enjoyed this children's meal. I didn't eat but the panini looked lovely with a side of fresh salad leaves. Staff friendly and accommodating 5*

This is a great little place. Food comes out fresh and hot, absolutely delicious. Chef is a credit to them. New owners are fab, and the play area is great for younger children, definitely worth a visit

We went in for breakfast. I ordered the large one which I have to say had at least 11 items for under £7. Very nice and great value for money.

Recently celebrated my sons 3rd birthday here and had the best day ! The party area we had was a great space with extra soft play music and lights plus the use of the soft play area in the cafe. Staff were polite and helpful and food was yummy ! Definitely be returning ! Thank you for making his day special !

Called in for lunch while we were having a family day out in Rhyl (four adults, two teenagers and two younger children). There was a varied choice of food on the menu and there was also a play area for the youngsters that kept them occupied while the meals were prepared and also while we relaxed after our meals.

Love Harkers amusement and diner. We have used the diner a lot as it is near to amusements. Food is good too.

If you want a quiet coffee while your kids go crazy in the play area then this is it.Away from the Amusements just across the road from the beach the corner cafe gives you just that.A basic café giving you all you need while you charge you're batteries.The cafe has now been taken over by new owners and has nothing to do with Harkers.

Not a bad place to take your children out for the day, eat n drink while they play away, just the place for them to let off steam and give you some time to yourself. Kids will love it here

Nipped in here to avoid a heavy shower and was really pleasantly surprised. We only had drinks, but they were all good, and the soft play for our little one (15 months) was fantastic

This place is the most cost efficient place in these crazy times. Manager and staff really lovely 😍. I felt more than happy to let my grandchildren play here . What a lovely nostalgic place this is. Highly recommended and spotlessly clean.

Don't bother! First and last visit! Not very clean, very loyd as they have a children's play entertainment centre upstairs and down. When food arrived mine a burger with chips and onion rings looked tasty but, when I cut into it, raw in the middle!

Waited over 35 mins for for 2 sausage batches and 2 toast for my kids and when they arrived they were just about warm. A sign in there said it may take time but quality takes time or some such message. It was not quality worth waiting for! I'm sorry to say I won't be going back there again. The staff did seem to be able to check there phones were okay. shame really.

I visited the cafe before soe years ago and it was good. Upon recently visiting (under new management) my friend and I chose the homemade chicken curry. We were not impressed at all. Positive is it has a soft play area for kids

me and my grandad went to the arcade today and got hungry so we nipped into this cafe again. never to be done again. staff were rude and one was meant to be making my drink and was sat on her phone eating a sandwich. had to get our own cutlery (which was not washed properly and had food still on them from previous meals), toilets were absolutely disgusting which had broken lightbulbs and broken soap machines. food was microwaved as we could tell. way overpriced. my slushy tasted like perfume as me and my grandad both agreed on. can’t believe this. it should be shut down and it ruined our day.

Well what can I say about this place.Me and me dad called in and sat at one of the tables looked at the menu and ordered two burger and chips and two cokes which cost just over £21.The young girl who served us looked like she didn't want to be there.When the food came to the table first impressions it looked ok the chips were hot.My dad started eating his burger and the look on his face was of horror I said you are not enjoying that are you he said no.I started eating my burger and as I was a lady went up to the counter to say summit about her burger and left it with them at the counter.We left most of are burgers as they were terrible i wanted to complain but my dad said let's just leave it as he said what good it would do.you need to change the quality of your food and lower your prices

Play area for kids was good. Food was well below average. No toilet roll in any of the toilet. Generally a bit grubby. Lovely young waitress served us tho.

Such a nice cafe with a soft play to entertain little one. Prices are a little much but maybe that's because I'm not from the area. Still a good place to go as the food is nice and the staff are friendly

Nipped in for some breakfast with my wife, daughter and granddaughter (18 months), she didn't have socks which are a prerequisite but they loaned her a pair for the soft play area (which is huge) Very nice staff and the guy who cooked the breakfast did an awesome job. Their £6.95 large breakfast was awesome. Really thick bacon, toast, 2 eggs, couple of sausage, hash browns, beans and tomato, fried bread, mushrooms and black pudding. Really good value, really enjoyed it. The nice women who were staffing the cafe couldn't be more helpful and they were so friendly. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.. Thanks

Went in for fish and chips and for our daughters to have a play. The fish was absolutely beautiful. Lovely batter. They did a small portion for my 9 year old so very accommodating. The girls loved the soft play. It’s a shame there was no one else in there. It deserves to be much busier.

We decided to try here and wish we hadn't bothered, it's bog standard , cold hot chocolate, cold beans , and far to expensive , didn't feel very welcoming , try elsewhere if I was you !!

Not overly keen on the food here and the radio was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation with those at the same table. . I think it is an OK place if you have children, as while you are eating they can use the play area which is up to the ceiling.

Food was good although the kids burger meat quality could be improved a little, it was a little fatty but not too bad all other food was great. Service was great, a small bit slow on the responses sometimes but not enough to bother the flow of service much. Play area was amazing kept the kids occupied the whole time, super great. Great staff, always smiles and so eager to help in any way possible. Overall it was a great day. Thank you for making my daughter's special day amazing.

Phenomenal breakfast location that offers plenty of menu choice. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a family friendly cafe that also has a small soft play area to keep the kids entertained. Would come back here again with my daughter in a heartbeat.

Went in for a breakfast and absolutely loved it. Granddaughters played in the ball pool/ climbing play area till there food was ready then went back in after they had eaten. Good food good staff. Very clean very happy 😊

This cafe is predominantly a children's play area and consequently very noisy. I ordered 2x bacon and tomato buttys and it took nearly an hour to arrive. The bread was not buttered and it was sliced tomato and not tinned. Would I go here again? Not even with my grandchildren.

This place was nice cosy and friendly staff ..clean inside food was ok ..bit expensive but isn't nowadays ..has a play n stay climbing and ball pit for kids theres a charge for bout hour I think ...nice little place thou clean and staff are great

I recently visited this cafe with a friend and our children whilst in Rhyl, and I specifically went there as had always had great service & the food was good. Sadly, not so on my recent visit. It appears there has been a change of management. The food quality has deteriorated & the portion size far less value for money. Moreover when I paid for the food I was asked to pay an additional £3.50 per child for my child to play on their soft play. Something which has never been asked for on previous visits. Suddenly a "meal" for me and my kids which should have cost less than £20 was £26.50. There is no signage in the cafe to highlight the charge for soft play, rather they surprise you at the till once you've ordered your food & your kids are already on the play frame. Whilst I appreciate that you have the choice at that point to not let the kids play, if your child has ASD then there is very little chance of convincing that child to come off the apparatus without it resulting in a very public meltdown. The standard of the food has also deteriorated significantly. I had a tuna panini which was down as having sweetcorn (It didnt), my daughter asked for the macaroni cheese which was swimming in grease & my son had a questionable burger from the kids menu with processed cheese on it. They sold Supermarket drinks, charged £1.50 for them & called them fruit shoots which is a brand name. To be fair, the manager immediately refunded me when I complained about the macaroni cheese, however when I mentioned that I'd been a customer for years, and had never been charged for the softplay when eating in the cafe before, her response of "yes, well everything costs more these days" was less than helpful. My kids played for less than an hour on the playframe, especially since they were eating too & I do feel that it is somewhat of a liberty to charge a customer when they are dining in and especially as when there is no signage advising customers of that charge. That's illegal & your customer service skills + your lack of empathy to families situations also means I for one, will not be returning. Such as shame as it was always a lovely cafe in my opinion.

The food was nice chips abit bland but there is salt and stuff. I had a Biscof milkshake it was terrible it was bland and warm with a strange paste that taste like week old Biscof other then that the food was nice

Went for lunch after swimming with the kids at Rhyl suncentre. Basic menu which was averagely priced. Unfortunately for me, I ordered a burger, ate half of it and realised the bun was mouldy! I took it back to the staff and told them. No apology just do I want another burger? No thankyou!! My daughter spoke to a member of staff and asked what they where going to do about it and was told nothing, because I had refused a replacement. After a lot of back and forth I eventually received a refund. This has totally put me off ever going back here again!! DISGUSTED!!!!

Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere great food worth the money

The soft play area that's inside always seems to be closed, which is fine but if that's the case make sure the signs outside on the windows are covered with a sign saying it's closed, basically family cafe clickbait to get you in. Food was nice enough (what you'd expect from a standard cafe) but no option for soft drinks (I think the drinks machine is on as much as the ball pit is open).

Went in as it advertised soft play area. We’re seated to be told it was only open at certain times (didn’t say that initially)… Ok… let’s have some food anyway, ordered 2 panini, 1 chips, kids meal and 2 drinks £22.00. I ordered a ham...

A nice little cafe on the seafront in Rhyl. Staff are a bit abrupt with customers and one another which isn’t particularly professional. Would be nice to be greeted with a smile and a cheery “hello there, are you OK? What can I do for you”. It’s a shame really because the coffee and cake are nice, and the kids like the little playbarn. Come on owners/staff, where’s your customer service?

Good basic fayre, served in disposable boxes, covid plans in place. Food was good but nothing fancy, staff warm and friendly. Place was a bit tired and would benefit from a spruce up but overall, for a quick bite, cheap and cheerful, just the job.

Due to covid they had a limited menu and limited space. However being a cafe you would have thought that they would have facilities open for its customers to use, they didn't we had to go across the road to use the public facilities which was really inconvenient.

The food is really deeply mediocre and it is far more of a children's play centre than it is a cafe. With the inability to use the children's play facility, it wasn't the best. Staff was friendly and they had space for us to sit down for a few minutes, which was far more important. They also had good WiFi access.
