Costa Coffee in Denbighshire

Served promplty by friendly staff tables needed wiping though and clearing.There were seats available and the floor was relatively clean

Ordered delivery it came promptly but with 2 muffins missing they were on the receipt but not on the bag no number to connect store no one answering the customer care number not a good service at all and I am still 8 quid down.

The two staff at the till are the best team you'll ever ever have they were so kind to help me out charging my phone I know not really anything to do with food or beverage, these are the kind of people you need in the high street, give them a raise please!

Can't get a coffee in the morning anymore as your standing in the que 10-15 minutes without even been seen. Only one person is working and they are trying to keep with all the online orders. Rubbish service had to go elsewhere before work.

My regular coffee shop,the majority of the time I go here I get terrible service off terrible staff,today whilat having my coffee I overheard a conversation from 2 girls behind the counter saying how one of them was going to smash some girls head in after work,not the sort of thing I want to hear while I'm having a coffee

Arrived at 4:15pm told I couldn't have any cold drinks, so i told them I didn't want the food and left I am a chef and this is BS.

Good value and friendly service

Visited Costa this afternoon and ordered the new blueberry bubble frappe. When they gave it me, I asked if there were any bubbles in it as I couldn’t visually see them. The lady with blonde hair behind the counter who was serving stated that there was and I proceeded to sit down at my table. After Approx a quarter way through the drink, I noticed that there in deed wasn’t any bubbles and informed the blonde girl behind the counter. She responded very rudely and said I will refund you. After trying to explain that I just wanted the right drink she continued to be rude and said ‘ do you want to me to just put some bubbles in the drink’. At this point the drink had began to melt and I just decided to proceed with the refund. This lady should not be in a customer services job as she has 0 customer skills. I also witnessed her being rude and snappy to another customer. You pay good money to at least get the correct drink and to then be greeted with rudeness from members of staff, is just both unprofessional and unacceptable.

Not the best of Costa coffee houses, but service was acceptable. Atmosphere difficult to assess because the cafe was empty

Confused - have been into Costa in Rhyl (and many other Costa Coffee shops) with my dog without any problem. Called in Rhyl to buy a takeaway coffee today and was asked to leave. I have checked on the Costa Coffee UK website and dogs are apparently welcome. I presume that each franchise holder can make their own decision on dogs - this is understandable. A little disappointed but have now found an amazing dog friendly cafe locally with amazing coffee and great cakes. Dudley and George - well worth checking out.

Am not a coffee person, but hot chocolates lure me. I had a hot chocolate with my friend and cinnamon bun.... Had a good time. It's a nice ambience but mostly it's close to full, not coz people have it there, but there are mostly take aways....

Nice coffee but I'm not a big fan of these types of places. However Costa is always good quality and clean.

I asked for Carmel skinny latte med ended with full fat milk and Carmel was bitter the worst coffee ever

Bit more expensive than you're standard, but I love the decor and staff were very helpful. Had no problems apart from the price.

Great coffee when I made this review years ago. Visited in Aug 2022 and the staff were unenthusiastic and wanted to chat to each other, rather than serve customers. The coffee was sub-par compared to all other Costas I have been to. They also served a drink in a dirty glass that had some glue stain on the side... disgusting!

Loads of fruit flies all over the cakes!! And when I said the girl just look annoyed that I said it out loud, these flies can carry bacteria

Not disability or pram friendly. Will never go back to this store never had a problem through drive though but obviously they can’t hide there horrible faces in the store. Rude woman behind the till ignored me for ages then shouted at me for what I wanted when I hesitated on my order she started sighing and pulling faces at me and rushing me. Never been so embarrassed in public before feel completely humiliated not worth the visit and do not come here if you have a learning disability because you will have your whole day ruined

Visited yesterday. Great customer service by two young ladies. Polite and helpful. Highly recommended. Toilets clean.

I holiday in Wales a lot, this Costa is one of my favorite places, the staff are super friendly and welcoming epically Jess, Jordan and Tash. These 3 made my experience at Costa one of the best and I will most definitely be back

Worst Costa or coffee shop I have ever visited,if you are on holiday in Rhyl over the summer avoid at all costs!! Dirty toilets,tables never cleaned,terrible staff with no manners,and needs shutting down to be honest.

The shop is lovely, one of my favourites but a couple of the staff are quite rude and not for the first time. We've decided not to go back, we can do without morose, rude people serving us. Shame, rest of the staff are lovely.

Went in with my daughter excellent customer service friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was lovely and warm excellent cappuccino. Place was clean and tidy. Toilet clean.

My favourite coffee brand love a costa latte .

3 members of staff behind counter. 1 served lady in front of me. Remaining 2 totally ignored me, carried on chatting and doing their own thing. After several minutes of waiting - WALKED OUT.

The staff here are always so friendly and bubbly! The service provided is always second to none, with staff going out of their way for customers. The food and drink in this store is always spot on too. So glad they’ve finally had their very much needed refurb! Would absolutely recommend this costa.

i love costa coffee but having one in rhyl the member of the staff needed to be trained how too make a latte i watch how she did it she put loads of milk in first then the coffee after it wasn't frothy enough

Terrible service, we ordered coffee a cuppa chino they served it into take away cup we were staying in for drinks, so she poured the coffee into a cup, she didn't bother to make fresh, and iced coffee there was too much ice and it was very watery, no taste. also had 2 slices of carrot cake she didnt give us any forks to eat our cake with, my husband asked for forks and gave us 1 fork, had to ask again for another fork, we wont be visiting Costa in Rhyl again.

One of the worse Costas I have ever visited. Staff are unhelpful and rude. I went to costa with my parents and my two young children. One of my children who is under two was fast asleep when we arrived. My mum was just getting the food so I took the children out the way to a table right at the back. My little girl was very upset as she was waking up ( typical toddler) one of the waitresses then came up to me and told me that me and my children needed to leave the table. I was told I was not allowed to sit on the table as she had promised it to another customer. I was quite taken aback as there was no reserve sign on the table. Both my children were then visibly upset. I told my mum what had happened who had just purchased the food that we had no where to sit with our food and drinks. We were told this wasn’t their problem. I then asked for the waitresses name but she refused. A customer who could no believe what she was witnessing kindly told us we could have her table as she had finished. She was mortified as both my children were upset. I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life.

Good drink but very noisy staff couldnt here througth screen neither could i machines loud chose to takeout !

We understand things are different due to COVID, but when your party with a wheelchair is told that we can't sit in for coffee when there are plenty of able bodied customers sitting in it's not great!

So this team work so hard. They dealt with the 50p promotion alongside a refit alongside systems not working as they should. Hats off that they continued to serve with a smile under tremendous pressure! Would deffo recommend a visit 🙃

The prices are high and the hot chocolate is weak, not worth the price

The coffee at this destination is getting worse every time I go in, not sure if this is down to the staff being new, but every think seems rushed and the coffee taste is poor.

No cheese and ham toasties which was fine just a Terry’s choc orange hot choc then please, staff member makes it we don’t have cream is that ok, well it will have to be now won’t it. Ok here you go do you want after eight choc or purple one we don’t have choc orange, doesn’t matter I won’t have any. Just get my hot choc shoved to me no apology no here you go have some money back I mean this hot choc was £3.80 and I don’t get cream or the choc it’s advertised with. Won’t be going back would prefer the drive to another one.

had black forest hot chocolate with my partner. served quickly only niggle is female staff who served us walked off half way through and told us to wait a minute so she could go tend to a workman. apart from that social distancing all in place, clean and nice drink :)

Only popped in for a coffee but the attitude of the 2 women leave a lot to be desired, almost felt as though they were looking down the nose at me, remember you work in Costa coffee in Rhyl not the Ritz,I asked where the sugar was please & one of the women rolled her eyes & said “yeah behind the counter” shame because the previous coffee attendants were brilliant, wont be going back!!!!

Coffee was good, staff polite but toilets were filthy, staff refused a young pregnant lady use of the toilet, her mum brought her back 5 minutes later and insisted she use the toilet as it is the law to allow toilet access for a pregnant woman. At least 4 members of staff and no toilet cleaning schedule?

Excellent staff and great service

Staff not particularly helpful, enjoying their time together but not customer focused at all. Badly organised, some customers waiting much longer than others, regardless of ordering before them. Coffee itself was nice, which is expected from Costa.

Plenty of room for wheelchair. Good coffee and cake. Toilets dirty. Yuck!
