Expensive. Not much seating. Extremely sticky carpet and floor. No parking available.

Pirate festival - fabulous fun and live music

We popped in after a walk around Weymouth and shopping, we found a dish that we both liked and ordered drinks as well, the staff were polite and pleasant plus price was reasonable .

We came in because of the rain. The place was quiet (only 3 tables when we walked in) and we decided to get some food while waiting for the weather to clear up. We go to the bar to order and ask for 2 pints of Pepsi and start saying the food we wanted, the bartender pours our drinks then decides to refuse our food order because the chef needed to prep, even though it’s 2 o’clock and there’s 3 other tables with food? Not sure why this wasn’t done either the night before or before lunch, but because the bartender already poured the drinks we felt obligated to pay, we sit back down to realise we’d been charged £7.50 for what wasn’t even a pint glass, it was an accommodating half pint, meaning we paid 3.75 for a half pint of draught Pepsi??? More so the aircon was on full blast making the place feel freezing cold even though there’s a thunderstorm outside, we left feeling robbed and disappointed, I can say I would never be able to recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointing.

Food fair to good with a quirky team succeeding in thier efforts to please.

Not much of the menu available when we were there. Staff a bit too friendly Atmosphere dead. Could be a nice place with a little TLC

Wednesday the 3rd we called in for a drink me the wife grandson two dogs we had a fabulous welcome we had a drink and decided to have food so the wife ordered when the food arrived it was brilliant not a complaint the gentleman behind the bar kept checking if everything was ok I can’t praise this place enough well worth a visit a nd the last point it’s dog friendly

Staff were lovely, food was very good, it was very quiet when we went but clean and tidy.

Advertising Board dropped off the window ( not fixed up properly) knocked over full drink over and didn't want to replace them.wont be revisiting again. Would of been 0 star if it was available.

Group of 7 chaps, allowed to buy a drink but chef refused to make meals. Absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT GO HERE!

Was looking for somewhere to eat on a busy Saturday evening. Had my 10 year old daughter and dog with me and one of our party needed gluten free food. This pub ticked all there boxes, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was tasty with decent portion sizes and it was all good value. Had a very enjoyable evening

I may not be a local but I've lived in Weymouth long enough to know my way around the decent range of public houses in and around town. This isn't one of them. On my first visit today with my Dad I didn't even get time to sample the brew because of the rude staff behind the jump. They need a class in customer service. I won't be returning.

The cowboy burger was the best burger I've tasted. Very friendly staff and great music, quiet enough for conversation. Nice place.

Myslef and my mum went in 2/01/2024 Mid-day. Very impressed. We had our dogs with us , and have never been made to feel so welcome with them. Water was brought to the table for them along with a big helping of gravey bones. We ordered chicken tikka. Food was very nice. After we ordered . After more people came in went herd them be told there was a wait as they were understaffed. That being said we still had great service, a check back at the table very attentive. Riley ! Thank you sooo much . You are a credit to the place . You can tell you care. Very friendly and welcoming.

Popped in today with friends and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, and the food was beautifully cooked, great selections of wines, the piri piri chicken baguette was fantastic! And a reasonable price too! Look forward to coming back soon

Descent sized room, well decorated. A few TV's on the wall with advertising showing. Pool table in the one corner at the front of the pub. Staff were friendly. Popped in for a beer which was good. Good visit.

Fabulous night at Hardy's celebrating an auntie's birthday. We had booked the festive menu which I would highly recommend. Food and service was excellent. All members of our party have nothing but praise for the lovely Manager and her friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure we not only had a brilliant Xmas meal but also a very special night for the 'Birthday Girl'. Thank you

Only the second time in here nice modern big pub never seems busy live band on Friday when I went very good shame not more people there. Only real complaint was the price of the drink £7.00 odd for a single captain Morgan's spiced rum and coke.

Went early evening. Service was great, food good, atmosphere not so great, lot of loud drunks in there at 5pm and we had our teenage son with us. Also, clientelle smoke and vape in the doorway and it all blows back in.

Best pub in Weymouth. Food and staff are awesome. My dog was very welcome too. Free pool and good offers on the food and drink daily. Check this pub out.

We popped in here for a curry lunch and a beer after a visit to the beach. The meal we were served was tasty, satisfying, and excellent value for money. The plates and cutlery were of noticeable good quality. The men's room was clean and in good order.

We visited the pub at 5:30 on 21/08/2023. The young man that served us behind the bar was really friendly and looked after us in a professional way. We ordered food and when it came all the burgers were too well done. One to the point it was not possible to cut it with a knife. We took it back to the and the female chef (Sarah) said she would re cook it. But said it with an awful attitude and made it very clear that she was not happy. When she bought the new meal to the table she slammed the plate on the table and said in a very rude and aggressive manner ‘sorry about the wait’ again letting us know she wasn’t happy. This ruined the rest of our visit and won’t be returning again.

The staff were very welcoming and the food was hot and delicious.

As we have a wheelchair member of our group, we were accommodated without any fuss or drama. Vicky was very helpful when we came to order our food and drinks. The food was freshly made and served quickly and efficiently. This place for a lunch meal is a 'hidden' gem considering its proximity to another well known foodie pub. Nothing was too much trouble and this was our 2nd visit and again we were not disappointed.

Food is amazing with a great range of food, especially for children. Highly recommend the chicken and fries they are amazing as well as the chocolate fudge cake. The staff are all really friendly and great to talk to.

Very friendly and welcoming place not too loud like other places really enjoyed visiting and revisiting on our holiday very relaxing place to come for a drink.

I was here with my 3 children. We were celebrating my eldest’s birthday. We were choosing some meals and drinks and Sarah let us know about the special deals available on particular days, which was very helpful. Today was a burger and drink deal. Sarah was very attentive and patient. I am autistic and can get overwhelmed in pubs, but here I didn’t feel rushed. The food was good quality and reminded me of much more expensive meals that I have had. It was therefore very good value for money. I had the vegetarian burger and was surprised at how good it tasted. The sauces it came with complimented it well. The toilets were clean and had everything we needed. It was a very good experience and I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Food was grim, left it and walked out. The pulled pork on the dirty fries looked like cat vomit. Minuscule amount of cheese on the “loaded” nachos. Overall just bad food. There are definitely better places to go so don’t waste your time here!

Went here for the first time after arriving in Weymouth that day. Ordered the cowboy burger which was really tasty and filling, pretty good pricewise too. Staff were ok initially, however while eating my meal, & other people inside having a drink, they were just sat around at the bar on their phones and having a conversation with each other, so this hardly gave off the most professional of appearances. Toilets were all clean & tidy, and I did like the interior of the place; was something a bit different instead of the usual decor of alot of eating & drinking spots these days. I would certainly visit here again though as the grub was definitely decent enough.

Unorganised needs numbers on tables so that serving staff know where the food is going starters come out with 1 main when mains should come out after we even asked for them to be delayed overall food was below par and to much salt in meals

The staff member was pleasant bit the pub lacked atmosphere, had an awful selection of beers and the toilets were filthy.

Friendly service, we stopped for coffee on the way to the Weymouth Museum opposite, and then went back for lunch, lady behind the bar was very friendly.

We spent the afternoon in there yesterday had a good laugh and some lovely food which didn’t break the bank. As a local we hadn’t been in a while but the new owners are much better and made us feel very welcome. Top marks

Looked sedate from the outside but a disaster inside. Drunk men being a nuisance, women running behind the bar, server suggested ice for a bottled beer. We left very quickly as it was an uncomfortable atmosphere. So sad as nearby Wetherspoons and Slug and Lettuce were packed. Clearly we weren’t the only people put off.

The pool table is great, the drinks selection isn't too bad. However, the cleanliness and atmosphere aren't so good.

Poor man's alternative to Wetherspoons. Quiet as a result which can be an advantage. Limited menu but perfectly acceptable.

Been to Hardy's Hop House a few times in the last few months to hear The Dolmen playing and like the place. Staff are friendly and we had a nice vegetarian meal recently. And The Dolmen have been awesome of course with their Celtic Sessions.

Staff are amazing and very helpful, food is 😍 my son is very fussy but not one complaint from him, 5+☆ Compliments to the chef's. Always clean tidy and always very welcoming

Really enjoying spending in some time Hardys Hophouse. We've had some fantastic food and company, love the friendly staff and enjoyed some really great live music, especially some great acoustic folk on the Sunday afternoons. Lovely spacious venue, and I've got to say, some really lovely clean loos!! (Speaking as someone who uses the 'Ladies' :) ) We shall be visiting frequently!!!

My wife & I take our grand daughter to the hop house for Sunday lunch most weeks, the staff are welcoming & friendly & children are catered for which makes for a pleasant afternoon - it is now part of our weekend schedule.

The live folk rock band on Sunday afternoon really rounds off my weekend, brilliant atmosphere & nice friendly crowd.

Was actually struck by the whole layout of the place. Food was good, beer clean and served well, while background music stayed where it should be in the background. On the whole great venue and now my place of choice

Excellent food, staff and beverages. The Sunday afternoon gigs, especially with The Dolmen are an experience in themselves. They are all about bringing the Weymouth community together .. and that's exactly what they and Hardy's Hophouse do.

After walking past many of times in the past and seeing the place empty which can be off putting. I noticed it looked a lot busier in the last couple of months so I decided i would visit Hardys Hop House and found my visit there pleasant. The staff were lovely. I had one of the chicken burgers which was great. I will definitely be back and will be reccomending the place. 😁

Dirty glasses, pints that need to be poured 3 times so they are drinkable. Super sticky tables and bar top. Grubby toilets. Not impressed and won’t be returning.

Went in the other day with the hubby and the kids. We had the mix grill and steak. Witch was delicious. The kids had the curry and ultimate beef burger witch was good to perfection. I felt very welcome by the bar member on at the time, I didn’t get his name bus he was a young looking lad super friendly and knows his stuff. The places with clean and tidy and smelt good. 10/10 definitely coming back. Would recommend to all
