Dog friendly!! Which is a win for me as I like to bring my fur buddies with me for emotional support. They are also people friendly!! All the staff are pleasant and friendly, go out of their way to please. Scenic location right at the harbour facing onto the sea. I enjoyed a dark and stormy by the fire during storm Kathleen! Food is great and great craic on Fri and sat nights. Love it here

We loved it!! …We had a group booking for the Tyrone Dippers. It was no easy task with 50 of us but we were warmly welcomed into the Habour Inn, with delicious food and friendly, helpful and polite staff in lovely surroundings 🥰 Thank you

We booked last minute. Served by a lovely guy who was very friendly and welcoming. The food was OK. My friend had the steak which was tender enough but had a lot of inedible fat. The scampi and chips were OK, nothing to rave about. Lovely location. The bar area was a bit old fashioned in need of a face-lift. Wouldn't rush back for food but perhaps a nice pint of rockshore 😊

Booking of table honoured and greeted immediately, even though the Inn was busy with Rugby fans. Atmosphere and service were excellent. Apart from the scampi being a bit tasteless (texture was great, just no seafood flavour), everything else was perfect 👌.

Have been eating here for years. Called in today 5pm 15th March 2024 and food great as usual and good atmosphere. Have to say a big thankyou to the lady who served us- (Sorry don't know her name- black hair), her service was excellent from start to the finish of our dining experience- a credit to the place. Will always come back here- great sea views.

Sad to write such a negative review but compared to our last visit over a year ago this was a huge disappointment - possibly the worst dining experience we've had in the past 5 years To start, we were ushered into a cold characterless & uninviting room (the pantry). The menu when it appeared bore no resemblance to the online version (couldn't they state this on the site?) - lacking in choice First real issue: - we arrived at 8pm & ordered in 10 minutes - we were served our starters at precisely 9:30?! In between time we were constantly asked did we all want another drink. At least half our group were not drinking alcohol - later we were to discover that a pint of coca cola was as much as a pint of beer! The starters were poor - deep fried brie (??) wedge & droopy salad, floppy fish tacos, goujons, .crab claws. Then another delay whilst we waited for our main courses (plenty of drinks though). Mains were variable - steaks were ok, scampi was armour platef, kids meal soggy fish & chips. When it came to the bill the drink costs were incredible given few of us were drinking alcohol. To be honest, I can't fault the serving staff, they were pleasant & tried their best. But the miserable dank room, slow delivery, average food and incredible cost of soft drinks made for a miserable family meal. There are plenty of much better places in Newcastle, suggest you frequent them. Truly woeful!

Place was advised by the locals so me and my girl went there for a anniversary dinner. We were waiting by the bar to be seated for about 10min while staff were just chatting and "scratching their asses" ignoring new customers. That's says a lot about this place, that was the first and the last time we are going there. International food trip blog will have a bad review as well. No point to go there if nobody cares to serve the customer.

We come here all the time for the fantastic view across the bay to the Slieve Donard Hotel and for the wonderful food and great pints! Absolutely the best wings and a great pint of Guinness! Keelin provided us with the best hospitality recently! All other members of staff are equally as great! We will continue to come here even if the weather is rubbish, the views are amazing! We love it here!

Once again I visited the harbour house Newcastle. On a chilly night inside was nice and warm with a fire lit. We we’re welcomed by Louise. Very friendly and accommodating lady. She looked after us all evening and every request seen too. The food looked good and tasted even better. Easy access and level inside. Will be back.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, offering hearty meals at a very reasonable price (try the mussels). There is a pub which welcomes both travellers and locals, which makes for a very enjoyable time. Francis and her staff are marvellous hosts, all very friendly and more than helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place! I look forward to a return visit.

My wife and I called in here on the way back from walking up Slieve Binnian. The Guinness tasted amazing, the bacon Brie and cranberry burger was fantastic and the staff were more than helpful and very friendly. The place was very busy (always a good sign). We would recommend this spot if you want a chilled, relaxed, informal, reasonably priced pub grub setting. You’ll not be disappointed.
