This is my local pub, but no longer. They support Fox Hunting. In 2024 who on earth still goes out killing wildlife for fun? I think it’s important people are aware who they give their money to. That’s enough for me to no longer give my business.

Went with the family for an overnight in the Dundrum Inn.Greeted by a very pleasant female member of staff and were taken up too our two rooms. From the moment you open the front door into the hallway you could see everything had been refurbished to a very high standard beautiful. Then into our rooms again the attention to detail in both rooms was amazing with beautiful bathroom decor in both rooms.Rooms more like 4/5 star hotel rooms well above any b&b facilities I've ever stayed in.Had a great day out in the near by Forest in Newcastle only a very short drive away. Then back to our rooms for a quick change and down to the bar itself for a few drinks whilst listening to an amazing acoustic performance from a female artist who had everyone singing or tapping their feet along to the songs. All the local people in the bar were super friendly also making our night. All in all a great night away with family in great surroundings. P.S the Guinness was great.

Stayed overnight at the Dundrum Inn after completing the Gr8 Dundrum Run. The views from room of Mourne. Mountains were breathtaking. Our room was beautifully decorated in keeping with the orginal charm of the building and bed extremely comfortable . We had a fantastic steak in the restaurant which was cooked to perfection and great craic in the bar afterwards watching the rugby. Will definitely return, highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

At the start of August my family and I spent the most magical weekend at the Dundrum Inn. My mum, dad and I decided to take my auntie away for her birthday and the Dundrum Inn was the perfect option with live music and a close drive to Newcastle. We were greeted by the lovely Avril upon arrival and immediately we were delighted by the cosy bar and the opulent beer garden. Check in was very smooth and when we opened the door to the newly refurbished bedrooms - we were bowled over by the beautiful decor, cute finishing touches and the cleanliness - we knew we were going to have a good stay. After a busy day in Newcastle we dined in their on site restaurant. With plenty to choose from we were spoilt for choice and when it arrived it was hot and fresh! The party began next door in their bar and it didn’t stop! Jerry was on vocals and guitar and the atmosphere was electric. The service was both quick and efficient and the whole team are great craic (shoutout to Alex). Tom is the General Manager and one of the kindest people you will ever meet - nothing is too much trouble. He and his team went above and beyond to make the stay special for my auntie and it is certainly a weekend that we will cherish forever. Thank you Tom and your team for everything you did for us - we can’t wait to come back!

Service truly dreadful. Two of us . Ordered 2 ceaser’s salads - we were in the beer garden behind the pub - it was not that busy - waited 40 mins - nothing. Then a waitress came over to check our order - another 30 mins passed . Nothing. I got up and asked why taking so long -?different waiter went to check . Came back but did not come over to us . 6 mins later did come over and told us the system for transferring the order from beer garden to kitchen had “ failed” . In other words the order wasn’t processed not once but twice . We had already paid up front as requested by bar maid - perhaps that was the problem! The waiter then added it would be another 5 or 6 mins - we did not wish to wait any longer and left . Waited 70 mins altogether. Was so annoyed got up and told them to put my money to a charity as I was leaving. I will expect proof of that . My first visit to Dundrum Inn - it was awful and I will not be back

Awful experience. At 7am we were awoken to the sounds of power tools and hammering in the room NEXT DOOR. Looked outside the door and saw the entire floor was turned into a building site with builders carrying out works. The noise was so loud it was unbearable. We were never told about this from the staff and when I tried to call the number provided, the phone was off! The builders couldn’t believe the management never told us about the works being carried out. Also, the night before we arrived at 7pm and asked about food, only to be told last orders was 6:45pm. The website clearly stated food was served until 8pm. We were left going to the local chipper for food. Take your business elsewhere, these are absolute cowboys.

I wanted to try the Dundrum Inn for Mothers Day as I had not been before and I saw it was an “Award Winning Restaurant”, I was not disappointed. I felt welcomed the moment I arrived. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable of the food and wine. Thankfully the Sauvignon Blanc was NZ and not from Chile! The food was outstanding, really good quality meat and fresh hand cut chips. Portion sizes were just right. The service was outstanding, with regular check ins from the staff and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely be back and would highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was our first time visiting the Dundrum Inn. We were going to stay with friends in their caravan in Tollymore and arranged to take them for lunch on the way. It was a lovely sunny day and perfect to sit out and eat in the beer garden to the rear. Also the bar is dog friendly and our friends were able to bring their dog into the beer garden. The service was friendly and the menu was varied with plenty of tasty looking options which made it difficult to choose, but we finally did, and everyone was happy with their own choice of meals. Our friends Alfie and Kiera had the chicken stack and the lamb shank, and really enjoyed them, Kiera won't mind me saying she is one of the fussiest people you will meet and she said the lamb was perfect. I had the fish and chips which I enjoyed and my wife Elizabeth decided to have 2 starters instead of a main course, (mussels and beef strips) and loved them both, (Kiera tried her mussels and said they were the best she had tried) The menu was medium priced but high quality and overall I was pleased with what we got for the price paid. Also just a mention of drinks, the bar served some unusual locally brewed ciders which went down well, in particular Kilmegan wild elderflower infused cider. Good to see local brewers being supported. So if your in the area don't pass the Dundrum Inn, pay it a visit for food and drinks, you'll be glad you did, we'll certainly be back.

We had a wonderful meal and of course some of the 'black stuff' after a day of exploring Sieve Binnian. The choice and food was exceptional and the staff welcoming and helpful. We truly felt that we had earned a great meal after our day of exploring the Mournes and were not disappointed.

Had a great evening in the Dundrum Inn. There's a real buzz about the place with the new owners. The staff are really friendly and the customers are just as welcoming. We don't live in Dundrum but everyone was chatting away to us. There was a singer/guitarist was playing and he was excellent. Top night. Really enjoyed it.
