First class great food and service

Just had a beautiful lunch food was lovely, and reasonably priced , just no parking is the only down side of this place

Wanted to try this place for a while and as was on business in the general area I phoned in and arrived duly. You don't necessarily have to book. It was quiet about 6.45 ISH but later became busier . I choose a different seat because of bad knee arthritis. The table I choose had bench seating one side and I was so low the table came up to 8 inches below my chin. Bad choice I ordered the scampi with side of tossed salad. Portion was reasonable size. But the batter was soft,almost under cooked. Side salad was free as I didn't take chips. The the cost of £18.95 was astronomical for what is a cafe not a hotel. I had to wait and eventually holler one of the three waitresses to come and get me a coffee. Plates were left on table. The mug of coffee cost £3.50 again over priced. No one came near again and I had to reckon you pay at counter. A glass of wine made the bill £26.95. Really expensive for what was average all round. I won't rush back

Love the gluten free menu and well cooked service great

Came here today for the first time for a late lunch and oh my goodness...the chicken goujon wrap was the tastiest I've ever had. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you x 😀

We found Cafe Rossi by accident, while looking for another place. Very pleased! We enjoy vegetarian meals, and they had a few different choices, not just one. I got a vegan burger a cheest mash. My wife got a pesto mushroom and spinach penne dish and potato leek soup. Both were delicious! Very clean, spacious, and comfortable dining room. Staff seemed happy to serve us, even as we were getting close to their closing time. We will definitely eat there again when we are in the area.

Boom boom burgers, kidney grabbers, fungus flappers, deep fried yogurt, they have a wide range of gob stiffeners in here, really yummy food

The service was first class waitress very attentive food was lovely very filling and reasonable priced definitely would go back again

Trust me and get the All Day Fry! Absolutely fantastic. The staff are boss too. I fully recommend it and I’ll definitely be going back.

Amazing food Amazing service Great price Loved it

Went for breakfast this morning. The potato bread looked like it had been deep fat fried and was coming away in bubbles. The grease on the plate from the fry’s was disgusting. The colour of the meat in the panini showed how poor quality it was. We put the majority of it in a box to bring home to the dogs. I think if they spent more time doing a good breakfast instead of rushing it out it would be better. We’ve been a few times and it’s gradually getting worse. Almost £60 and definitely not worth it. Don’t think we will go back.

Tasty breakfast with very friendly customer service

Had a roast beef dinner, had to look for the roast beef on plate meat had not a great taste.gravy was very thick not great.

When we arrived, it was very quiet. So we were served extra quickly, very reasonably priced. And tasty food.

Called for lunch and enjoyed our meals. Staff were welcoming. Nice choice available on menu. Food was tasty, portions were generous and reasonably priced.

What has happened Cafe Rossi, can’t believe the way it has gone downhill so really badly, used to serve beautiful food and had professional, polite and friendly staff. It’s a pity I didn’t read the reviews before I took my family there and wasted their hard earned money, I won’t be back and certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.

Great layout.no need to rush, efficient and friendly staff, well priced too. Just one issue, one of us had a fry which was greasy, too much oil used, I had baked potato with salad, potato had too much butter or oil in filling. Salad had too much raw red onion raw peppers, not enough tomato. Coffees and tea was great!

Won't be returning to this restaurant unfortunately unclean glasses. Food came quicky but very disappointed with taste and appearance, definitely need of improvement

I stumbled on this gem by accident. Fish N Chips were incredible. Felt like really genuine family ran restaurant with staff that cared. I wish all serving staff were like this. Nothing was a bother. Applie crumble was fantastic. I got 2 courses and a fizzy drink and paid £25.

Lovely breakfast mini fry was just right for me and my sister tea was was lovely and traybake to finish off had lots of time to chat and catch up and didn't feel rushed or pressured to give up table.

This place is always a winner, everything about it is great, food, staff, atmosphere value for money varied choice child menu, everything is a blessing to be there. Can't recomend enough. I just wish I lived in Ulster so I could visit more.

We've had several work lunches at Rossi's each and every time the staff have been polite & helpful. Waiting time on being served and the food coming out have always been short with most time waiting to be served 10 minutes and an additional 15-20 minutes for the food when the restaurant was busy. The food is reasonably priced and of a good quality for the priced comparison. Can't recommend Rossi's enough for a quick lunch time bite.

Do not go if you are a coeliac. Even though menu states g/f options, my husband was served a dish that wasn't gluten free. The server was informed of his condition while taking orders and he asked for the g/f option without the stuffing. He received his dinner with stuffing and when he enquired whether it was gluten free the server replied yes,then came back 5mins later to say that it wasnt. Chef and servers don't seem to understand the implications of coeliac suffers eating gluten/wheat-very disappointing!

Called in for a late breakfast, got the mini fry , it was just right. Think it was the manager that was serving, He was very helpful and came back to ask if we were happy with everything, it was nice to see someone taking care of their business .

At a birthday party for my grand daughter me , my wife and daughter were hungry so I looked for a cafe for something to eat , I must say I got the roast beef dinner meat was very tender, potatoes were creamy,and the vegetables and gravy were to die for my wife and daughter took the chicken wrap with chips and garlic potatoes absolutely beautiful they said there was so much food we all had a container full of our food to take home . The place was beautiful and clean and the service we got beat many hotels we’ve been at . If your looking for a birthday treat or valentines meal try it out we can’t recommend it enough

Booked a table for a Saturday night. We arrived and the restaurant was already busy. Despite their being 3 large groups, the service was excellent and staff were very attentive. Good sized portions and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. Only let down was the dessert - the pavlova could have done with a lot more fruit!

Ordered a chicken and ham omelette, the garnish was green leaves with brown edges nothing else to the garnish , chicken was so dry I believe it was from the day before.when I confronted the manager about my meal he was verbally defensive and rude, I then approached the counter to pay a member of staff and explained my disappointment to which she also had no interest, the manager returned to wave me out, I personally will never return. So I give it one star purely because the cafe was open.

Have been coming here on and off for nearly twenty years for two reasons alone: the Rossi burger... A slightly spicy and really delicious burger that had a lovely homemade salsa... And the honeycomb eclair... A choux pastry filled with honeycomb ice cream and topped with crushed nuts and chocolate sauce. Sounding like food heaven to you? Well they have both gone to heaven apparently as the Rossi burger was cancelled from the menu some years ago and then to my absolute horror, the last visit we made a few weeks ago, we discovered that the honeycomb eclair has now been cancelled too! I think this is a travesty. It was a unique dessert that I've never seen anywhere else and it was the solitary reason we choose that cafe for our visits. Sadly, our cafe Rossi days are behind us as everything else we've had there is not worth the special trip for.

Excellent best breakfast in a while

We were not happy with the food. Kind of basic stuff.

Came in a party of 4 plus a baby. Staff were polite but busy having a chat amongst each other. We weren’t offered a beverage upon sitting. No big deal. All of us ordered. The four orders came in good time. I sat waiting…. Yup they forgot about mine. By the time mine arrived, everyone had finished eating. We just waited assuming it would be along shortly. I was feeling uncomfortable and pressured to eat at that point by the time mine came. I couldn’t finish it. Very awkward situation. But anyways, no offer of a discount or anything. To be honest the other plates were very greasy and not very nice to eat. Will we return? Not a chance.

Came for a family meal, waited 35 minutes to be served, only got so when asked a waitress. Then waited another 40 minutes for the food. It was in a word dismal, very bland and when you are paying 15 pound for a main course you would expect to be served fresh produce. Vegetables were definitley from the frozen isle in lidl, pure mush - disgusting and the mashed potatoes were like baby food. So disappointing as the food and service used to be first class. Will not be back, dont waste your money!!

Had lunch with my wife and mother in law, I always have the prawn open as it’s old style and delicious , my wife and mum had the all day breakfast which also looked delicious .

Food was tasty and well presented. At this time of year it's good to be able to take 'own wine' to the table. Attentive service. Plenty of space.

This internally well appointed eating establishment being Cafe Rossi sits where it sits on the pecking order of sit in to eat locations in the Ballynahinch hinterland. A recent input from a visiting patron making comment on all matters sundry----holed below the waterline the overall Tripadvisor input by sleeving in the word "smug"--- one mans meat another mans poison so on & so on. P.C. input Person - Person. Anyway back to the crux of the 17th of October past insertion on Trippy. Yep a steak not provided as specified when ordering can be a walk the plank affair at times of this no question---re eating out in these time its ALL costing too much. Three DOTS awarded fair enough--oh wonder if the wash room facilities in these premises for talks sake got a visit during this visit ? --they are pretty decent. Ah well to each his own.

Short wait before being seated. Friendly welcome. Pretty good menu although limited vegetarian options. I went for the panini with mixed peppers and smoked cheese. Tasty and the side salad was really good. Hubby went for chicken and sweetcorn panini. Chicken used seemed to be leg, not breast, and awful texture like it had been reheated in the microwave. Cappucinos were grim. Tasted like machine coffee and we couldn't finish them. No milk alternatives either. Wouldn't recommend sorry.

Decided to try Cafe Rossi this morning for breakfast. My wife had the omelette.....with cheese and mushrooms ..very good and good portion size. I had the mini fry which was very good and filling. Service was quick and efficient.

Perfect & not pricey. Breakfast was lovely. Lovely place to stop for a bite to eat. Not to keen on how the milk was presented, a little messy to use.

Three of us had a get together at Cafe Rossi Great table spacing and really felt safe with Covid regulations Good menu choices Big big portions Chicken gougons were yummy and served with salad and criss cross fries... enough for two Great service and we will be back
