Happyfamilychippy in Oldham

Just had to throw away most of our £40 order as the food was largely inedible. I don't know if someone swapped out the salt for sugar but everything tasted too sweet, especially the chicken and sweetcorn soup and the vermicelli. A real shame as the menu was put through the door and definitely piqued our interest, but there is no point in having a good set of dishes if they taste like this. We will not make the mistake of ordering again.

This is the best Chinese chippy I have had but it changes one week from the next, Friday night is takeaway night in my household so we order regularly from here but sometimes it's gorgeous and others yuk, the chips are the real problem, sometimes lovely well cooked chips and other times there either squidgy pale and under cooked or over cooked so much they are so hard you can't even bite them, which obviously they are old chips been re fried disgusting. It's such a shame as the curries and sauces are delicious and the soft fried noodles come with onions and soy sauce delicious. Also there is no point ordering the prawn crackers I literally got 5 small crackers in a big bag very disappointing for the price. Just could do with being more constant on the quality and bigger portions of the prawn crackers.
