Happy Wok in Southampton

Ordered via uber eats although on the delivery apps the restaurant is called Lucky Star. After the hour estimated delivery wait the food hadn't arrived and I was unable to get an update as the phone was busy no matter how many times I rang. Unable up cancel the order, we cooked some quick noodles and called it a night. In bed we got a knock on the door and rejected the order... 3 hours after we ordered with no contact from the restaurant. Still trying to get a refund with no joy. Food could be good though, I wouldn't know

I absolutely adore the Happy Wok. Sure they do have times where they can be late, and I end up having to ring up where the hell they are, but outside of that I love their food and their pricing isn't as bad as other chinese places (especially their fancy deals), and when I do ring up to ask (which isn't a common thing) then he is apologetic about it.

I have never seen that satay like a water, curry like a sticky without flavour. Chilli no spicy even though you requested add more spicy..... Foods always cold and late delivery! Just driver and counter man have a patient for said apologies...nothing other special! You have a lot of Chinese foods be place order. Don't be choose Happy wok there!! One of Hell's Kitchen in the world!

Horrible. Esperó más de una hora para la entrega solo para llamar y que me dijeran que estaban demasiado ocupados para entregar. Fueron realmente groseros

My daughter ordered a Chinese takeaway and paid £27 through Just eat. She waited for well over the time specified but nothing arrived. She phoned to ask where her food was and was told the food had been delivered and not to phone again. She Phoned again and tried to explain she hadn’t received her order. The operator wouldn’t let her speak and told her to stop phoning. THE OPERATOR WAS RUDE AND ABRUPT AND GAVE NO EXPLANATION OF WHY THE FOOD HAD NOT ARRIVED. SHE NEVER GOT HER ORDER AND WAS BLATANTLY RIPPED OF SO BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM EVERYONE.

The food was horrendous, watery, bland and the orange chicken sauce is sickly orange squash. The ribs are watery and don’t taste of bbq, the spring rolls are cheap and frozen. The rice stodgy, the chicken weirdly rubbery. Not a good experience at all.

Food never turned up and after speaking on the phone to the restaurant multiple times asking when it was coming 4 hours after ordering I was sworn at and hung up on. Absolutely disgraceful service.

The menu states Happy Wok is under new management and the effort made by the owner supports this. I ordered through Just Eat and included a paragraph about particular dietary needs which were slightly complicated. Excellent service from Happy Wok as I received a phone call almost immediately which resulted in a helpful discussion and useful suggestions. Food delivered ahead of time and top quality. This will now be takeaway of choice for Chinese food.

Delivery driver was the most miserable anti social fella - earphones in, not smiling, no apology for slight lateness or any social skills. Food was ok. Chow Meon was a bit naff but the ribs, chicken satay and spring rolls were amazing. Not sure if we’ll order again but someone train up your delivery staff- poor advert for the business.
