Happy Valley in Winchester

Chicken Satay…..no taste of peanuts just a white bland tasteless sauce Sweet & Sour Pork Balls like concrete. Horrible. Szechuan Chicken. Tasteless Chop Suey. Tasteless We’ve had good food from here in the past but this was a total waste of £34 and will not be back

i ordered three chicken chow meins for dleivery and some other stuff they came one hour late it was cold so i went to the takeaway for some more food. they should know a pandemic is happening rn no form of socail distancing in the takeaway saw the chef coughing in the kitchen no mask or gloves absoulouty disgrace no wonder cases are surging never eating chinies food again STAY HOME!!!

Took 3 hours to get our meal delivered....when I called I was told it’s being prepared....called again 35 minutes later and it wasn’t really prepared and it would take another 15 minutes....usually I’ve been pleased with their food but I don’t like it when a restaurant isn’t honest.....when I complained I got a simple but not really convincing sorry, suggested I wouldn’t be a customer again, and just got a ‘so what’....sorry not impressed

Great family owned takeaway. Never disappoints and certainly the best in Winchester! I would recommend the sweet smoked chicken.

Ordered a Chinese for myself and the family yesterday, after phoning for order it had arrived within 10 minutes. The delivery guy was rude. The food tasted greasy, and today (the day after ordering) we have been sick multiple times throughout the day and its only 1pm!

Our number one choice for chinese takeaway. Service is always very quick and food is always hot and tasty.

The food here was at his usual standard. I personally prefer this takeaway for chinese food. They are always friendly and if you order a takeaway they are very prompt.

We had previously always used a different Chinese takeaway but had been disappointed by the standard of food recently. This was the closest alternative so we tried out a couple of dishes. Both were hot and tasty - the vegetables still had a bit of crunch in them so were obviously freshly cooked. We'll certainly be using this takeaway in future.

Loved the sweet and sour chicken balls, which were huge. Other dishes including duck, beef in black bean and sesame prawn toast were good, along with egg fried rice.

Regularly order from Happy Valley and they are always happy to amend dishes for food intolerances. Food arrives hot and on time. Would recommend.

Me apetecía una comida china y es el más cercano. No he tenido para llevar desde aquí durante años como la mayoría están lejos cada noche, pero esta noche no me decepcionó.

We use this takeaway every couple of months and have always been happy with and enjoyed the food. The service is good and delivery usually matches the time specified to wait, if not slightly quicker. A good varied menu and fairly priced.

Recomendaríamos este llevar para recogida y entrega. Los precios son muy razonables y la calidad de la comida es en general coherente. La señora de la barra está siempre alegre y parece contento. Servicio de entrega normalmente es mucho más rápido que el tiempo estimado. Hemos intentado llevar la mayoría de los chinos en el distrito y éste nos pareció un sustituto adecuado para el tristemente perdido Kam Wah.

Still having takeaways from Happy Valley every few months and they're still very good. Delivered on time and the food is so good! Definitely recommended. If the phone line is busy it's a good sign! Just do "ring back" ;)

Aunque no la comida peor mi marido no podía comer su pollo al curry como el pollo estaba de muy mala calidad y se podía ver que sin degustar. Huevo frito arroz era sosa, patatas fritas eran bonitas no es el lugar peor, pero probablemente no lo recomendaría o volver!

Their delivery service is awful. They say they're open 12-2 most days but they don't answer the bloody phone. Crap service

6º tiempo llamando para una entrega pero de nuevo decepción por esperar 5 minutos para obtener ninguna respuesta. Sólo para más tarde recibe una llamada de ellos horas más tarde después de haber comido algo...

We have used this takeaway on a regular basis and were very disappointed yesterday evening with the delivery which took just over 2 hours. After booking our order I was told it would take between 45 minutes and 1 hour to be delivered - which is ok. After it got to 1 hour and 15 minutes I rang the restaurant and was told our order would be with us within the next 10 minutes. After a further 20 minutes I rang back and was put on hold for 5 minutes and I asked to speak to the manager. She then apologised and said our order had not been given to the kitchen, hence why we had not received our food! I did say I would like to cancel but she promised our food would be delivered in 30 minutes. I did agree but said I would cancel if not received by then.I was given 10 per cent discount - which isn't much all things considered. Our food did arrive after 30 minutes but we didn't enjoy it as much due to how long we had to wait. I was told earlier how busy they were but as a customer that is not my concern and perhaps they should employ more staff to cope with demand. We have always enjoyed the food and service before but now we are considering using another Chinese Takeaway due to this bad experience. It is such a shame as the food is good but we've been put off due to waiting more than 2 hours for our order to arrive.

Takeaway from here is good. It's not exceptional and often needs a little bit of reheating but the quality is consistently reliable and the staff are friendly. Recommended :-)

Never have I ever had such a terrible experience with a chinese takeaway, terrible telephone manner from both staff and management. Waited over an hour and a half for the food to arrive and when it finally did the food was stone cold. Management were very unhelpful on the matter. Being busy is never a good enough excuse! Will never be using again!

All is good here without anything being outstanding. It is relatively quick and the food is always hot.

Always great service, they remember you and your preferences, I've no carrots! Been using them for years and will continue to do so. Delivery is great as well.

As someone mentioned, the chow mein was terrible, dry and tasteless with tough meat (beef and chicken). Crispy duck ok, but greasy pancakes. There must be betger options for a Chinese in town.

Always very polite, helpful and, accommodating to change items in set menus, The quantities are generous, the meal for one is plenty for 2 reasonable portions. Has never failed us, always a freebe as well.

Not knowing this part of Winchester very well looked a Chinese found this one. Had new to their menu as advertised mixed chow main. very dry not to good nothing mixed in together it was as thou the chief cooked every thing separately noodles on the bottom, veg in middle and meet just on top with very little source. pancake role very small just fell to bits very oily. batter soaked not crispy. ribs however was nice.over all very expensive for a Chinese takeaway but i guess i was on the out skirts of Winchester.

Very friendly staff, free parking for collection... And very good food my husband and I have used the take-away several times now and have not been disappointed, we would recommend the vegetable curry, the crispy duck, salt and pepper chilli prawns, chicken chow main, chips, ribs and prawn crackers... But am confident the other dishes will be fab too.

We tried this takeaway today because the one we usually use is closed on a Monday. We were very pleasantly surprised - really nice food and great service.

The food is consistently good and there is a very wide choice. The staff are friendly and efficient. Free delivery within a certain radius, depending on order size - a useful service.
