Absolutely awful. Terrible service over an hour on delivery and forgot half our order!!!

Waited an hour. No food. Rang. Was left hanging for 5 minutes to be told it'll be another half hour!! Asked for the manager... strangely not available.

Crispy duck was not at all crispy but other than that it was good

Their satay chicken is the best I've tasted!

This is the first time I've ordered from this Chinese takeaway, and what a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, the best in coulsdon and puley. I will definitely be going back. Well done to your staff.

New to the area so it was our first time trying Happy Swan. We are only around the corner so delivery was very fast and food was very good Chicken in satay sauce and seaweed was delicious, and portion sizes were decent.

Awful place. Completely ruined a birthday with there absolutely rubbish service. The food was over 2 hours late. When we rang, no one picked up the phone. Will never ever uses this takeaway again.

I always get a bit nervous about trying new Chinese, usually because they are all the same. We received their menu and thought we would give it a try - we were not disappointed - the sauces were just perfect, well seasoned and it felt like we had someone come to our house and make us these dishes with good quality ingredients. We will be back!!

Sadly, this was incredibly disappointing! I ordered a variety of dishes, ate two mouthfuls and left the rest. £25 of waste! The entire food was bland, and smelt odd... maybe just the cooking oil. Only pro.. the service was quick and the delivery lady was lovely! Sorry.. hate to leave a bad review.. but it was really bad. \_("!")_/

I've got to say, this is the best Chinese food that I have ever had, and I've tried a few. My son has a shellfish allergy, so when I order online I always then give them a quick call to say about the allergy and they are always very accommodating. Very polite and helpful staff (including the delivery driver), absolutely cannot fault them.

The lady taking the orders is very nice, the food comes very quickly and is really filling and tasty. The sauce go perfectly with the fried rice and everythings packaged nice and securely, prices are amazing too. Gutted that I won't be going here too often since moving away bit I'll always come back if I fancy a chinese and I'm near.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway tonight! Didn't feel greasy, everything was fresh and Yummy!!! Perfect portion sizes and very reasonable price at less than £25. Delivery on time too. Thanks Happy Swan! We had Hongkong style sweet and sour chicken, szechuan beef, chicken chow mein, chips and curry sauce.

Supposedly an experienced delivery driver hadnt got a clue as to where my home was. Food arrived luke warm and had to be re-heated. Worst order and delivery I have had from Happy Swan

The quality of the ingredients really shows. Superbly cooked and nicely packed. Excellent portion sizes. Arrived hot and earlier than estimate. First time customer here, but will certainly return and in the meantime thoroughly recommend.

Freshly made and precise delivery. I placed my order online and even received a phone call to clarify the time. Attention to detail, great service and food!

Have been ordering to collect from here for over 15 years. Always been the best in the area and even after the take over with the old cook still there the quality was maintained. Been a while since our last order - as been using Bombaylicious a lot - and its like a different place. All three mains were bland colourless and tasteless. Sauces were so watered down as to be hardly there. Also cut right back on premium ingredients like cashew nuts and shrimp. Plus the menu numbers had all changed so not even sure we got what we ordered! First time we left so much that went to waste. Still got 2 stars as the crispy duck was still good even if less duck. Won't be coming here again which is a shame :(

When I the food was 15 min late, I chased and was messaged food 30 minutes late. After 45 minutes late I phoned and was told my order stated 8:15 and not 7:15. Basically was lied to to cover themselves….not happy. Food was ok but very small portions ie small containers used for Chinese duck and chicken dish. Food also lacked flavour in Singapore noodles and special fried rice dishes. King prawn balls were very nice. All in all not worth the price,

Had our first try - takeaway, ordered direct easily with them & it came quickly. Only a small order and we got extras which was a lovely touch. All good, chow mien was a bit plain, but the rest was delicious. Can recommend you try them- do go direct!

Ordered a take away was told forty five to 50 minutes. Went to shop was ten minutes and they tried to deliver it before. Cold food prawn balls were open and two short ribs were dry and tasteless.Chowmein was horrible. Curry sauce looked like happy waste pricy and dislike

There are only three Chinese places in the area which I will eat from, and this one is reaching up to be my first. They do some good vegan options and are happy to accommodate you. Lady on the phone is always so nice

Absolutely terrible. I’m there client from 7-10 years but not anymore. Old meat, overcooked noodles, our pork in chines style was moulded… second time, that was it.

Off the charts Ribs melt in the mouth,as for the shrimp curry the best Chinese curry I've ever had Arnie said I'll be back.

Newly printed menu, new voice answering calls, higher prices and lower quality food, cooked differently -looks like the ownership and the whole team have changed recently. We have been loyal customers for the last 16 years, but unfortunately the recent order was very disappointing and we won’t be coming back. Missing the old Happy Swan 😥

The Happy Swan has been the best Chinese Take Away that I have ever used for over 30 years! Unfortunately it seems the owners have retired. They may have passed some recipes on to the new owners but you are clearly cutting corners, for instance pre prepared chicken on skewers. Whereas the original was always juicy chunks of fresh chicken. If you wish to remain in business, Please! Consult with the previous owners to bring back what we all used to love. The Happy Swan never had to use any of the delivery companies because their food was THE BEST! And when ordering you knew you would have to wait because they were always so busy!

I have been using this takeaway for nearly 20 years and I have always loved them, I think they have a new cook, I had my usual chicken chow mien with extra onions, I had loads of slightly cooked onions, 3 small pieces of chicken in the whole box and it had no taste - so bland, I am so sad, I love the owners but the quality has dropped. I am not going back - the cost has gone up and the quality has gone down.

Nice chinese takeaway with one or two Malaysian dishes. Good flavours and not too gloopy or salty.

Entered the take away to order food and waited to be served.....nothing happened despite calling out. Phone then rang and proprietor walked out to answer phone completely ignoring customer in the take away. Very very rude. Clearly they only care about phone orders.

Male owner is RUDE! We used to use this Chinese and due to the rude owner we stopped and found somewhere more friendly and much better food. Unfortunately that Chinese closed over lock down. Reluctantly we decided we would give Happy Swan another chance...... never again!!! The male owner is still rude and shouted at me! Disgraceful!

I’ve been eating from here for 20+ Years. I loved from Coulsdon a few years ago so tried different Chinese take aways. Anyway I ordered from here this evening and it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Full of flavour. The salt and pepper prawns were still crispy. The chow mein had tons of flavour along with the egg fried rice. I like my food seasoned well and this lived up to every expectation! Ps delivery was quick too!

Food standard has dropped...prawn balls batter was like cake Veracelli was burnt, I called the shop and they was not apologetic with an "Oh well " Attitude..won't be going there again!

Lovely food but delivery ridiculously slow. Have had waits of 1.5 hours and 2 hours recently. Only one delivery driver as they try to cut costs. If you want to use them, go and pick up don’t wait for delivery

Ribs very dry chicken balls and prawn toast was cooked in really old oil which made them taste burnt I called shop to tell the owner he was very rude and told me I was the only person to complain (really) never use this shop again

Best Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Their rice is fried with soy sauce which gives it a much better flavour than the usual white rice with bits of microwave egg you get at most other placed.

Horrible service, rude staff, over waited by 20+ minutes after time allocated food would be ready and of course nothing complimentary to soak up the embarrassment of their terrible service (despite asking). BLACK LISTED!

Will not be using this take away again. The last 2 occasions i have rung them to order a meal, they have been closed due to holidays. Not the best way to run a business and only the customers suffer.. ..

Meal totally substandard and would recommend not to order. Food was cold after waiting 2 hours. The owner so rude and would not except any critical coments. STAY WELL AWAY. Wok Inn so much better.

Waited 2 hours for our take away and it ended in the bin as ice cold, beef rubbery and sweet and sour sauce so runny. Called to speak to someone where the apparent owner came on the phone started shouting and hung up on me. NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!

Great, friendly, family run Chinese. We have been consistently going there for 10 years and really don't have a bad word to say. Best in the local area, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Give them a try.

Owner is racist and extremely rude. Do not go there! You have been warned. They purposely lie on the phone and state their card machine isn't working over the phone when I paid by card right in the shop. Portions are tiny! Do not go. It's such a shame. It should be called sad swan.

Tasty food but if you order set meal for two do NOT expect a portion for two people - the rice portion is tiny and would really b for one person

This has been out favourite Chinese restaurant for over 15 years. We've never had a disappointing experience. They are cheerful and friendly and the food is consistently delicious.

Been there today for the first time, friendly staff, but you have to ring a bell to let someone know that you are there. Ordered sweet and sour chicken and plain noodles. Wasnt waiting for long. When I got home, noodles looked like they are burned and you could count the chicken on one hand. I will go back to give them another try.
