Happy Palace Chinese and Thai Takeaway in Aberdeenshire

What a gem of a place! We come to this area on holiday regularly and always look forward to a take away from here. The food is excellent and probably the best Chinese take away we’ve had. The lady who runs it is delightful and the girls behind the counter are great. Can’t wait to return.

Really quick service after my order was taken by a super friendly lady at the desk. All meals were superb quality, piping hot and really flavoursome. Would highly recommend.

Although we’ve visited Banff numerous times on holiday we’d never tried here before. So glad we did this time, three times in our two week stay! Good and service was excellent

Ordered food from here for the first time tonight. The lady who answered the phone certainly puts the 'happy' in Happy Palace! Very cheerful and helpful. I ordered Kung Po King Prawn with egg fried rice and it was delicious. Nice and spicy, with thin slices of green chillies, water chestnuts, mushrooms and other goodies. There were plenty of king prawns, although they were in batter which is why I haven't given 5 stars. I know this is Scotland, but must everything be battered?! 😂 Definitely the best Chinese takeaway I've tried in Banff/Macduff.

My husband & I went for a meal on Friday 21st Feb. The meal was delicious & service was fab! Would definitely recommend! 🌻xx

Terrible quality and a rip off, £7 for Singapore Rice and sauce which ended up having the wrong sauce on it that I couldn't eat as it was sickly sweet and I would nearly have needed a magnifying glass to find the chicken and pork and the 3 tiny prawns. So basically £7 for a tub of sickly rice

I maybe took the wrong thing from the menu..... but it was awful.... chicken in white sauce was terrible, seemed as if the chicken was boiled and the sauce was terrible, like white water!! Ended up in the bin as i couldnt stand the texture. Wont return

Very good takeaway, at a reasonable price, impressed by placing an order for a specific time we were a couple of minutes early and the food was being cooked as we arrived so food very hot and fresh.

Had a takeaway from here on Friday. Food was good, nice taste and spice. Ordered prawn crackers as I didn't realise they gave them away free, but they gave us some free spring rolls instead. Happy with the overall experience. Would order from here again.

It's a takeaway that does Chinese and Thai food, not much more to add. Tasty and good value. The gentleman who takes the orders does so in a rather clipped manner which is quite amusing. Recommended.

Server very efficient. Asked for a portion of Prawn Crackers. Was given two by server who refused payment, saying he was happy to have us as customers.

Ir aquí regularmente. Siempre con el orden y el teléfono normalmente 15 - 20 minutos de espera. Creo que ha sido más larga de 30 minutos. Solemos ir por la misma comida cada vez y no me puedo quejar de lo que hemos pero no podía comentar sobre el extenso menú.

No podía ser molestada cocinando en la víspera de Navidad, así que optamos por la mejor comida china en la zona. No me defraudó.

Despite the abrupt telephone manner of the owner the food more than made up for it. Honey chili chicken is a personal favourite and very tasty. Best Chinese in Banff

Regularly visit here for Chinese food and it never lets me down. Usually go for the Thai side of the menu...always good quality and pretty tasty. The Szechuan dishes are also pretty good. Prices reasonable and service good.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area, the Thai food is lovely. I am a regular customer and would recommend to others to go there

Have been a few times. Good enough but spicy beef wasn't spicy. Chicken wings were great. Service good with an awesome Scottish chinese accent.....

The red Thai curry is very good and can't be faulted. This place seems to be improving but the chips are still only so so. We will be back

The food tonight wasn't as good as advertised. But I felt uninvited to the shop tonight- the guy at the counter wasn't nice, he showed we forced him to do the order. No English language, no smile. I should leave this shop quickly but was hungry.... Lesson for the future: guy lost his income because I will never ever ever again go thru his door...

Always go here for Chinese food. Never been disappointed either. Sometimes have a longer wait at a weekend however the food is always to a good standard. Only gripe is the quality of the chicken however normally go for beef which has never let me down.

Only been here once for a take a way but it will be my last. Food was so bland that it was tasteless.Even though I was very hungry, I could not eat it. I mentioned going to the happy palace to a friend and they were appalled that I went near the place as it is so bad

Always fab! Fast service. Shredded sweet chilli chicken is amazing! Food is always piping hot, never cold. Very tasty.

Not as good as it use to be but ok for a fast food take away. Food sometimes tastes the same. lovely ribs though.

Yet another successful visit to Banff's best Chinese. We are yet to be disappointed by the food and I would 100% recommend a visit

Order tonight was crispy beef chow mien look to see what it contains no mention of noodles, but when I get home it full of noodles vi think they just make it up what they put in second timeive noticed this. Also salt & pepper ribs just taste of chilli time to go somewhere else

I love the Kung po chicken from here, also the sizes of the meals are amazing. I've tried many in aberdeen but Banff's Chinese takeaway is a lot better and also cheaper. The waiting at the takeaway is reasonable - probs 15 mins max.

The salt and pepper chicken is a must for food lovers. It is simply majestic. This place has come on leaps and bounds in the last year

An ok Chinese but it can be a bit hit or miss. Past couple of times I have been in it has not been the best. If you are in the area there are other chinese take aways.

We have been a few times for takeaway food it wasn't very good to start with but has improved significantly over the last year or so they normally do a lovely feast

Popped into this fast food spot with a comprehensive bill of fare. The front of house had that takeaway look about it, but looks can be deceiving. We took three main courses between the two of us and enjoyed everything. Very tasty and fresh, ample quantities, in fact, what we didn't eat that night, was consumed the next day after a spell under the microwave.If we had stayed in the town a bit longer, I'm sure we would have sampled different items on the menu.
