A dont know what happened to this place but it's went completely down hill, food is horrendous!! I am now put off Chinese for life.

Placed order while at work come home 30 minutes after food was delivered to find our order was wrong phoned the shop order was rectified food delicious great customer service well done

We are very regular customers of the Happy House and have had very little to complain about. Tonight is however different. Called for take away to be advised 50 minutes for delivery, called back on 2 hours to be advised been busy and “our slip had fallen down the back” and the delivery is now on its way. Two hours 30 minutes later and still nothing, no communication whatsoever. Very very poor, will be trying another Chinese next time.

Loved the food great service and fairly quick . Also chips fried rice and curry sauce in the one container, under £4 for a great quick munch

Happy house usually is a nice takeaway. Never had anything bad to say however sometimes they forget some parts of the order

we have waited over 2 and a half hours and 3 phone calls for our delivery. our first call after an hour they said it was out for deliver. the second call they said they would check it out and call us back. 15 minutes later we called again and they said it was out for delivery. 15 minutes after that we have put a frozen pizza in the oven as we are ever so slightly peckish, will deffinately not be using the happy house again

Popped in on a visit to parents in Musselburgh. Very pleasant girl on the phone took the order. She clearly read back the order to confirm. The estimated time was 25 minutes and that was pretty accurate. Good was hot and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Good size portion, which my sons commented on.... 'this is more than we get from the Chinese back home.' A resounding endorsement!

Brilliant hot food best Chinese

Ordered chicken curry fried rice and crackers. Got toast triangle things they say we asked for, don’t even know what they are so how can we ask for them? Never recieved the rice & asked for further money even tho we had already paid for it. Terrible service. Won’t be back & will spread the word

Absolutely terrible 2 hours for an order that would be ‘50 minutes’. Food was stone cold and driver was very rude. Worst experience I’ve had.

Awful service!! Was told 50minutes, still nothing after 2 hours. We got a call 2 hours and 20minutes after we ordered to say our food was at our doorstep!! It was cold, no doorbell was rang. Then said no refund until they collect the cold food back lol

Absolutely shocking service tonight! My daughter placed an order but only half it came. Called the shop to ask what happened and the manager said that they would send the rest out, after waiting another hour (two hours after first ordering) we called the shop to cancel but the rude manager refused to refund the items. A delivery driver turned up later with the rest of it but we refused at the door because it had taken so long and after another call to the shop the woman actually started arguing with me then hanging up. I have paid £40 for a munchie box and chips 😡😡😡 Please avoid!!!

I've ordered a few home deliveries now from Happy House and each time the food and service has been great. Very polite girl answers the phone to take your order and the quality of the food is spot on!

Ordering 2nd week in a row as it is absolutely lovely, I'm really fussy with Chinese food, usually disappointed but not from this place, best chicken curry and shredded beef in chilli sauce, this place is the best I east lothian, highly recommend!

Stay away!!!! Discussing Attitude been ordering food for 2 years from here ans tonight the food came cold we phoned and asked for our money back ir was the first time we weren't happy in 2 years. They've always had Good money from us as its our Friday treat. When I phoned she said for me to come down with food and she would give me my money back when I Came down she refused to hand money over. It went on for 1 hour in the shop before she only gave me half my money back which I refused. When I left I spoke with delivery driver he said that the are going though alot of stress at the moment due to a mice infestation!!!! Never again will I order from this shop. Not after the bad experience & finding out about the MICE infestation. Please stay clear if you want to stay healthy. She never once apologised after the 2 years of service we have giving them. All I can do know is advice people and hope they take our word.

First time I had tried this takeaway and certainly wasn't disappointed, food was delicious and the person who took our order was so friendly and cheerful, she even gave us one of her chocolates while we were waiting 😊 will definitely be back

There is not a better takeaway for Chinese food. You can order off menu if what you want is not available. Very well priced and quick delivery. Strongly recommended as great quality off food.

Used to use another takeaway, but just moved house and thought we'd try 1 nearest to our new home. Was not disappointed. Best chinese meal we've had for a very long time. Will definitely be using again and i will definitely recommend.

Best Chinese in the area, food is always good. Collect if you can though, deliver always takes a long time.

Best Chinese we've had in ages. Good quality meat and prawns, fresh vegetables, excellent fried rice and noodles. All delicious and beautifully cooked.

I go here everytime we have Chinese food ,usually the best salt and chilli chicken bites ! Tonight I was very disappointed the chicken was very dry and the bites were hard ,but if you tell the staff they will defo resolve the problem with no hassle x

This is amazing place to have a meal and enjoy yourself for the night, staff were really nice, polite and gave us good service, the food was just out of this world, I would would recommended this place to anyone in East Lothian looking for a local restaurant for the night, plus does not close till 11pm so there is another bonus

Poor service. Delivered the meal short, then delivered short again. They tried to blame the driver then when I put the driver on they hung up. I’m going to get my refund tomorrow. What food there was, was good tho.

Always look forward to my meal from Happy House. Food is great and staff are really friendly and helpful. Nice to have such a good Chinese on my door step.

Quick delivery service and lovely food. Not cheap though

Excellent food however delivery driver is very rude. Called mobile as struggling to find address, I go downstairs to be told "this is stupid, there is no door number, so stupid" there is a door number and I also made it very clear on the notes which is included on the receipt the door and what buzzer to ring. He really let the restaurant down the tonight.

Good food fast service you should try it!!

Friendly staff and great food. But I hate special Frid rice, this one of the worst food in the menu. All are reasonable price and as usual chinese food taste.

Rank rotten, first and last time I'll be using them, chicken looked anemic, noodles just well enough said, chips hard and burnt. Had a more enjoyable experience changing my 11 month old granddaughter's nappy!!!
