Lovely staff, we tried the pistachio ice cream Lovely and very reasonably priced. We will try another on our next visit thanks ladies x

Stopped in today with my partner and dog, huge variety of different ice creams to choose from including lactose free and dog safe ice cream. The staff where very friendly aswell.

Went into happy daze on a whim with my partner, we both had a sundae and got a ice cream for our dog. The sundaes were delicious (really generous with toppings and sauce, they had dog ice cream and a wide variety of items on the menus, including hot chocolates, waffles and some themed treats like iron man ice cream. I wish I took a proper photo of the ice cream sundae before I started to eat it 🍦 The decor inside was also fun and tasteful as it had that retro vibe and the staff were really friendly. They even did me a Reecees sundae instead of a waffle. I couldn't recommend them any higher and will be going back in the future.

£13.95 for 2 milkshakes...really!!!!! Wasn't thick enough to be classed as a shake. Won't be back as far to expensive for what it was! Milk.

It was 7 pound for one milkshake and it was way to sickly it had to much syrup

Stopped in during the Hartlepool Tall Ships Festival. As it was a busy day with rain off and on they only offered window service. It was the only place that had a great variety of options to include hard scoop flavors. Service was fast as they keep the line moving. And I could see kids enjoying all the unique options for ice cream treats. They also offer other options for beverages.

While this place had a good selection to chose from, I felt the ingredients were very cheap. The chocolate sauce was transparent and tasted cheap. I felt for the price, they could use better quality ingredients.

Fantastic choice of ice creams - many unusual flavours/designs. Lots of Marvel themed ice creams which was a bit hit with son. Price was very good for x3 ice creams, especially by the sea. Cafe clean and looked fun. We sat outside as hot - again clean and tidy.

Happy Days ? The lady serving wasn't happy the ice cream was tasteless you expect places like this to taste better than a bog standard McFlurry but it just wasn't for the money paid and the service provided we will not be returning as a family one thing I can say good about the place is the quirky interior but that's it really.

Don’t take Scottish money. Ridiculous in this supposed Union. If my wife hadn’t started eating her ice cream they would have got it all back.

I hadn’t been here in a while but the ice cream is still great with there being lots of options despite not being able to sit inside yet; there is seating outside for customers. They also sell bubble slushes too which are worth the try!

We visited yesterday for some ice cream and debated whether to sit in or take outside on the tables as the sun was peaking out. We were struggling to make a decision and the young girl behind the counter couldn't have been more helpful even though she was in on her own. Superb service, even better ice cream. Thank you Happy Daze!

No better than any local ice cream man very expensive. Staff in desperate need of customer relations training, very abrupt and flustered avoid.

Tuesday 10 September @ 4.00 p.m.My partner & I were on holiday in the area for my birthday and I had been so looking forward to getting an ice cream from Happy Daze after spending most of our day at the Navel Museum nearby but when we got to Happy Daze it was Closed. If there was some emergency and they had to close, it didn't say on the door or whether it is now permanently closed I will never know now as I don't expect to be going over to the North East again any time soon.

This is our second visit.......service slow last time......not the best attitude for business, foolishly called again for an ice cream and coffee......no seats inside....sat outside......tried to order inside.......server would not let me finish and told me to stand in the line outside...... and because of the sharp attitude......we walked and went elsewhere......will not go back and would not recommend!!

Lovely ice cream with excellent customer service

Biggest and best choice of ice creams in the area. Shame about the parking company that manages the car park. Really off putting as its expensive to park. Must be bad for business.

A really quaint place for an ice-cream or waffles, tea or coffee with a 50's & 60's decor. With the old fashioned booths to sit in with a jukebox front on every table and records and posters on the wall from that era. The best public toilets I have been in for a long time, spotlessly clean and tidy and smelling nice for a change. Friendly young girl was on when we visited and playing some great music from the same decades. Well worth a visit and that's coming from a middle aged rocker and his wife. A real eye opener, would visit again when in the area. Come and see for yourself.

This American themed ice cream parlour also serves waffles as well as hot and cold drinks. Friendly staff (there was only one young lady serving) and absolutely immaculate inside and out. Toilets were one of the best we've been to in a public place. Well done Happy Daze 👍 for keeping a spotlessly clean establishment and also playing good music which was appreciated by 2 middle aged rockers 🤘

Ice creams are lush. But over priced. Must be the area.

When we went in there were 3 members of staff, 2 talking and one on phone, we sat at a table and waited, no one acknowledged us on entering nor approached us at the table and so after about 10 mins we went to the counter to place our order. When they were delivered they were 'plonked' on the table and could only be described as ok, when we left we had to wait to pay as we were ignored! Also while there, we observed the servers take orders and pick up cones which had no cover on cone and as she passed them to customer he asked for flakes she put her hand in and placed flakes in, her hand was not covered for touching food and she had used the hand to serve several people and touch money!! Yuk!!

Ordered cheeseburger paid for it waited over half hour went and asked where it was she had forgotten about me got my money back and walked out never to return

I visited happy daze on a very busy Sunday and the service was fantastic. I was immediately greeted by Hayley, we decided to sit inside as it was so busy outside she very pleasently and politely took our orders and our desserts were soon to follow which we were suprised about as the que for food and Ice cream was out of the door and there was only three girls working. The desserts we ordered were delicious and very well presented I would highly recommend this place.

Always enjoy a visit fantastic ice creams n snacks vet reasonable price, staff are lovely and it’s nice inside, can get busy but always get served. Makes a nice little treat for special occasions the kids love it 😊

Quite limited in choice and flexibility as we'd made the mistake of buying a groupon voucher and they won't let you upgrade to a sundae if youve got a waffle. Not sure why you couldn't pay more and upgrade. What we had in the end was nice but way too sweet

what a really nice little cafe. it is dog friendly (has it own area inside for dog, with beds,water ect). it has a little outdoor area 8n the sun out the back (also where the parking is, unless you park at the shopping centre and walk the short walk through to the cafe) . it serves lovley cakes and tea, does afternoon tea for £15 (for 2 but it more than fed us and a teenager and we left with full bellies), it does a proper lunch type menu, serves alcohol at a certain time and has live act on certain nights. well worth going to this little place and the staff are really helpful too

Always go here when in Hartlepool The queue outside were ignored by staff People walked away losing business .Will not be returning

Waffles were delicious but had ran out of lots of things and the coffee machine wasn't working. The staff were brilliant and tried really hard to make up for it. The restaurant was freezing cold too.

So after our lunch we wanted a ice cream. We for some reason thought a mcflury was the answer. Luck has it the girlfriend had a rare moment of pure genius when she remembered about this little gem.

Wife and I stopped here after a meal for a hot drink and sundaes. The drinks were just as good if not better than the big chain brands. The ice cream was some of the best we've had. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Glad we found this place. Would definitely return again!

El sol brillaba (en medio de un montón de duchas de lluvia) así que pensamos darnos. El interior se ve muy atractivo con un montón de opciones de estilo americana junto con el mismo estilo de decoración. No pagar nuestras bañeras, así que no sé el costo por su relación calidad-precio, eran grandes bolas. He tenido mucho mejor y degustación de ron con pasas y helado, el trozo de caramelo estaba bien. Otro en el partido tenía color (aparentemente) comida riquísima altamente chip mint - no bien aparentemente. Dicho esto, es de gusto personal y muchos otros parecía contento con sus opciones.

Went to Happy dazes on a day when it was chucking it down, my daughter and I dropped in for lunch had a nice meal in the American style dinner and finished it off with to delightful ice desserts, I can recommend the gold rush and when over at seaton again will go back.

This place is brilliant,the waffles were the best we have ever had, service was excellent, the young lady who served us was so pleasant and efficient.

My daughter and myself got a waffle each with a drink, they were delicious. I got banana, salted caramel pieces n toffee sauce my little girl got Nutella with chocolate sauce and chocolate bits, we both got cream and vanilla ice cream. Both looked and tasted great.

Customer service was disgusting my children left without ice cream. Definitely just go to seaton in future

I dropped in on a sunny saturday afternoon for a dessert. Totally excellent! The service was briliant, the staff were friendly and helpful, the value was amazing and the ice cream was brilliant (I couldn't finish it all and that is rare with me and ice cream!) I had a banana split, a whole banana, three huge mounds of ice cream, at least half a tin full of fruit salad, a ton of cream, two sauces and 100's & 1,000's, not forgetting the cherry on top. I was not expecting so much - especially for the more than reasonable price. I will be back!

always friendly and welcoming today we had sunshine perfect for a visit, hot dogs are good and cheap too, but most of all I like the ice cream, it is very clean and well run, a must visit if you are down there, great for the kids, and the oldies like it too

Recently been to Happy Daze in Hartlepool. Had a deal from Groupon. Good price. Very like Lockett split and chilled out gelato at seaham. Lovely waffle and hot chocolate, felt very sickly after it. It in a good way. Only fault was it was Baltic, really cold, uncomfortable inside. Staff were lovely.

We visit here with our grandchildren and we love it. The staff are lovely and the variety of ice cream and deserts are s fond to nine ( we also love the popcorn that you get whilst waiting). The kids meals come in little cardboard cars which is a nice touch.The only thing that stops me from giving a 5 is that ( this a personal opinion nothing more) is that I wish the menu featured more than burgers and hotdogs etc. I'd quite like a sandwich or something like that or a jacket spud but hey, it's the theme of the place ( diner like) so I understand it's unlikely to be part of that but, as I say, just a personal thought and would not stop going here, it's too nice!

My wife and I stopped off to have some lunch before we set off for home. The decor is great and very clean. The waitress took us to our table and took our drinks order which arrived very quickly. We both ordered a double burger (I had American Chips and my wife had curly fries).The food was excellent and would have scored 5 if it was not for the TV. We where sat underneath the TV which was showing a Disney film and since there was no children in the restaurant I felt the sound could have be lowered.Overall a good experience

It was our first visit to waffle heaven (Happy Daze). Wow what a great experience. Made all the better because we had a groupon voucher. The lady who served us made us feel very welcome. She gave us a small tin of popcorn to begin with then came our waffles.. absolutely delicious and so well presented. We will return soon.

A good place to take the kids for a treat My only fault with the place is the hot food for such a well fitted out place. I wanted more on the menu maybe American nachos pancakes ect spot on services very polite. Would return

If you're in the marina this is a great option for those of you with kids.We've never sat in the diner to eat, so can't say too much about the dining menu offer and prices - but, have had plenty of take out ice-creams over the last year or so. Our kids love coming here, which speaks volumes - they like the ice cream that they sell, and there are loads of flavour, topping and cone options for them to choose from. Whilst their ice creams are not the cheapest, they are in the kids opinion, the tastiest.

Lovely place for treats for the kids. One TVs has been broken for well over a year. Would be lovely to see some heather food options. Overall it's quite nice.

A friend and I stumbled across this place when I was out for a walk around Hartlepool Marina. It is based on the 60s diner look. It was clean and there was plenty of choice. We had the Happy Daze sharing ice cream with fruit cocktail and hot chocolate sauce. When it arrived there was enough to feed 4 people and couldn't eat it all. Over all with be going again, but making sure that I have an empty stomach when I do back.

Service is always friendly, ice creams top notch, the sundaes are lovely but my personal favourite is the white on white ice cream. Not badly priced.

Myself and my girlfriend came here yesterday for a quick meal. Being a sunny day we opted to sit outside. With only one member of staff on ran off her feet she did her best to make it an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately the menu board outside is out of date as they no longer serve potato wedges but the food arrived quickly and the milkshakes where awesome. It was overall a Happy day all round.

Popped in for chocolate ice cream for our son as after football treat, decided to sit in. The service was really friendly and welcoming. We got complimentary pop corn and they put a movie on while we got settled in the booth. We enjoyed ice cream, waffles, drinks and a cup of tea. All lovely with nice little extra touches. My youngest son particularly enjoyed the mini ice cream which came on the side of my tea cup!! Toilets were spotless which is always good. We will be back

We called in today for a light lunch. Great burgers , freshly cooked and good curly chips. With big cup of T it was cheaper than Mc Donald's etc and much much better. Loved the tiny trial ice cream cones served with the T. Nice touch. Very well fitted out and the 2 staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much bother. Typical of Hartlepool friendliness. We will be back.

My family often visit during the summer for either a snack or just ice cream we are always meet by friendly staff and a great choice

Came here for first time for some quality time with our adorable grandson, place is spotless and has been fitted out to a high standard, was seen by a very polite young lady who was very helpful and didn't have to wait long for our main order with the food being very nicely presented. My grandsons ice cream was huge! and I opted for the Eton Messissipi for dessert and was in ice cream heaven! The place was not that busy when we arrived so we were able to have a table to ourselves but as we were leaving it was filling up. No feeling of being hurried and we were left to eat at our own pace and catch part of a movie. As a previous review stated the shop front is very narrow but don't let that put you off, will definitely come back.

A perfect place when out at the Marina and needing something to cool off. Tons of flavors to choose from. Wonderful decor and spotlessly clean. Great atmosphere. The kids really enjoyed it.

Just popped in here for a take away ice cream. Place was very busy, plenty of choice of ice creams, whippet or scoops. The prices were reasonable and the sizes pretty good. It was roasting inside so everyone was outside. Happy with my ice cream! :)

A decent ice cream parlour in Hartlepool. Well placed on the marina with lots of passing trade, can be very busy at times. Selection isn't vast but is good.

Fantastic themed cafe,top quality fit out.Wonderful helpful,happy lady who served us.Coffees that came with mini ice cream cones attached,plus great tea cakes.So pleased we decided to go into this one , the shop front is very narrow and as such maybe does not make it that inviting ,don't be put off.

I went to Happy Daze for the first time on Saturday and took my little girl for some mum and daughter time....how have I never been there? It was lovely inside and the service was amazing, the 2 girls that were on shift were smiley and helpful and really made us feel welcome. I had a hot chocolate and they gave a little mini ice cream on the side which was both delicious and unexpected. We only popped in quickly but we're enjoying ourselves so much we ended up staying longer. I will definitely be returning and would recommend Happy Daze to anyone.

What's not to like. So many flavours and varieties and the portions are huge. Fun atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful (especially when you're struggling to decide!)

we often call in Happy Daze for a Ice Cream, there are so many home made flavours to choose from, there is also whippy Ice Cream from the machine.this place is quite popular for children's parties as we have seen many in there,they serve Burgers Hot Dogs etc.

Visited here on a warm sunny day for sundae's hardly anyone in which was fine as we never normally get a seat in there. Iv came here quite a few times for meals but it always has been abit expensive especially for sundaes when we couldn't even choose what topping we wanted as one of the staff said it was for the waffles only which was a shame considering theres tons of jars filled with different sweets and toppings that i couldn't resist other than that i like it here :)

Fab 50s diner - we had a last minute weekend in Hartlepool staying at the Premier Inn and called in here for a quick lunch. What a fab little place - lovely food, great service and great cleanliness and value too. We're due a visit to Hartlepool and will definitely call back.

I had been here before and tried their Milkshake and Curly Fries but I really fancied trying one of their meals so I came back with my cousin's and we really enjoyed it! Everything is a reasonable price and the way it's set out looks great! I love it here

Been here loads of time, sometimes for lunch and other times for a quick coffee and an ice cream with the kids. The authentic looking styling is fun and the kids love going there. You have to pick your timing as space is limited if you want to sit in.

Just visited HAPPY DAZE . And what a lovely 50's style diner we had a groupon offer which was waffle,ice cream & hot drink . The food was delicious and well presented. Beth the waitress was very pleasant . We checked out the menu and find that all items are reasonably priced . Unless they've had a refurb recently i don't see how anyone could say the booths looked tired it was spotlessly clean and a nice atmosphere . The only criticism i have is having background music playing whilst showing a film with volumn on at the same time trying to listen to songs from grease & the other 50's music at the same time that said great little place will definately return ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went to Happy Daze with my boyfriend for New Year's Eve brunch. We had a voucher off Groupon which I had purchased for £6 and entitled us to a waffle and hot drink each. There was plenty of options to chose from included in the offer. I opted for a 'Brooklyn' waffle which was topped with banana,  toffee sauce and chocolate sauce and accompanied by vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and my boyfriend's waffle came with toffee ice cream and was topped with pecans and maple syrup.  I chose a premium hot chocolate which was topped with cream and marshmallows and my boyfriend chose a teaser white hot chocolate which included maltesers. I would definitely visit Happy Daze again even if we didn't have a voucher. There was loads of things on the menu thay we liked the sound of and the sundaes sounded delicious!! I also thought it was a nice touch that popcorn was brought to the table while we looked at the menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're after a nice treat!!

A lovely little ice cream shop that is very inviting and welcoming especially to families! Often has Disney films playing inside! Delicious ice cream! :)

Visited here today after discovering it hidden away at the end of the marina.Very friendly and helpful staff, who were happy to offer a taster of icecream to our 2 year old before making a purchase!Good selection of icecream, and a large choice of sundaes, waffles and milkshakes also available.Having previously visited a similar establishment in Seaham, we found Happy Daze to have the upper hand....spotlessly clean and well maintaibed decor. Added extra of Grease on the TV's and Dirty Dancing soundtrack playing. Will definitely pay another visit soon!
