Ding in Hartlepool

Ordered through tapptakeaway, confirmation email said the food was being delivered at 6:37, it arrived at about 7:30 instead. Tried to ring the phone number 10 times to find out what's happening and it wasn't answered a single time. When it eventually did arrive, they'd missed the chicken tenders off the order as well which I didn't realise because the dips were inside a box so it looked like them. Rang again and had no response. Foods great, service is disgraceful, even now I'm out of pocket for them, not to mention one of the lads had already left assuming it wasn't coming. There's simply no way to speak to anyone when things go wrong, I've spent a fortune at ding and hot club over the last few years and won't be bothering again, the food could not turn up at all and you'd have no way to get a refund through the tapptakeaway website. I even tried emailing the tapptakeaway contact but had no reply from that either. This isn't the first time it's gone wrong for me but it is the last, had a couple of other similar bad experiences but ultimately the fact I couldn't get even get a response has been the tipping point for me, too much hassle.

Waited over 2 hours for my food and did NOT receive it there’s £30 down the drain I won’t be order from there again!

Waited 30 mins for it to be delivered a 10 minute (maximum) drive away. The food was Awful and not worth the wait. Had the bacon mac n cheese which had almost raw bacon on it and the mac n cheese itself was disgustingly bland with no flavour, an issue that persisted with the chicken tenders, the batter was okay but the chicken itself had no flavour at all. Overall extremely disappointing. Per the reply- I ordered through hartlepool eats and am just going off the time I was told the food was on the way.

They used to be spot on but you can’t guarantee consistency now. Our last two deliveries; one they forgot one of our burgers and promised a refund which we never got, and the other time the food came cold. I messaged them but got no reply. £60 all together which isn’t ideal for the service you get.

I love smash burgers and this place has to be one of the best in the town in my opinion. Keep smashing the burgers ding 👍

Love the burgers and fries from here. Sooo tasty! The motz fried onion is a firm favourite but tried the smashed hit burger last night instead and wasn't disappointed. Would highly recommend Ding burgers 🙂

Wheres the shop now? It still says its on church street but the building has been empty for months

Normally the best burger I've tasted but last night it turned into the worst tasting burger ever . Different chef ?? Not the burger I had ordered ?

Very disappointing heard good things but left disappointed missed my bacon of the fries just basic fries with a cheese sauce, burger was nothing special soggy bun and greasy for what you pay I expected better overated for me. Probably will not order from here again

Decent burgers and exceptional service. I must have ordered at least 10 times and I can’t find any fault in it. Burgers served hot and delivered by happy bunch. A few more options and this could be the best burger place in town.

Burgers nice forgot chips in 1 order and wrong chips in the other 3 orders and meal was cold , rang them and was told everything is turned off now nothing they could do

The best deliverable item of food in the town, the buffalo chicken burger. I’ve had all the smash burgers from here which are top notch, parmos, kebabs etc from other takeaways but, there simply isn’t a better option. Just had another and it’s as good as the first. Keep it going!

Been ordering since day one. Tonighy iv Waited 99 mins for delivery phoned the shop, he had a attitude and said order hasn't come thru. So I redone order phoned back he said yes it's come thru will be there at 8:30 waited til 9 phoned back he said sorry it hasn't worked waited 3 hours kids have to go to bed. Never order again

Well what ever you have changed over the last two weeks needs to be reversed because I have spent a small fortune over the last few months and always recommended yous untill now something went wrong so you need rewind whatever yous have done

First time order from ding. Waited just sort of 2hrs for delivery, food is alright, but mediocre if I'm being honest. Basically paid 23 quid for a double cheeseburger, 2 portions of chips and 2 tiny (and half filled) tubs of sauce. Definitely won't be ordering from here again sadly, despite hearing great reviews my experience isn't to be repeated

Think she could have had some help ... v But overall we love everything about this place . 1st time my hubbie had been upstairs.and he really liked it x

No I am sorry but this happened when you were at Mary lamberts before you put the names on the food bags . I took the food home opened it and handled it only to see it was wrong. I returned the food and stood and watched the girl give it to another customer waiting

Great comfort food. Good portion of Nachos starter, did four of us. Mains are delicious, boxed up what we couldn't finish. Great Cheese and chill fries. Real strong garlic sauce with chicken tenders. Good table service for beers too. My only criticism was being sat under a loud speaker we could not talk or hear each other! We ate a left due to this. Would have stayed for a few beers if we could have heard each other.

DING was absolutely the best drinks and dining experience We have had for a very long time! Food was perfection, as the wife is American She is extremely judgemental of American staples, she says “the chilli cheese fries were something right out of Detroit, or Ohio, the wings were cooked and dressed so well that if I closed my eyes I would have felt like I was home!” Very welcoming friendly atmosphere, great place for a good drink, and the food is out of this world!

Over priced and overcharged. Definitely a better takeaway experience which is a shame.

As a huge Meat Liquor / Market fan, I’ve been let down a LOT by burgers in the NE. These guys understand fat content. Hands down the best burger I’ve eaten NE. Almost had this as 4 stars for the “Billingham Forum Chips” - but they were eaten, and the burger was such a cut above the burger places that have come and gone over recent years I had to give it 5.

Waited an hour for a very mediocre burger which was cold, couldn't really see as the lighting is poor, been dying to try it for ages On the plus side I've been told numerous times the takeaway or home delivery place is amazing

Visited on Sunday a few weeks ago, staff were lovely and the decor was cool in places, great selection of ups on draught ... but I didn't rate the burger it felt greasy and chips were partly cold.

A great place for food mostly burgers but lovely. Addded bonus play decent music and red stripe on draught! Staff are friendly will be visiting again!

The BEST burger you'll ever eat!!! Great selection of beers too

Went tonight for the first time, there was a delay and a mix up with my order, however the staff were all fantastic, bringing round free shots for everyone for the delay and the manager/owner gave myself and my partner the whole meal for free for the mix up. The food was absolutely fantastic, highly reccomend the smashed fried new potatoes starter, perfectly seasoned and the garlic sauce is 10/10. I got the cheeseburger fries and the portion size is easy enough for 2 people. The crispy edge bits of patty are stunning too but the star of the show was my partners patty melt burger it is served between 2 slices of toasted sourdough bread which is a cut above any burger ive ever had as i got the cheeseburger fries as i didnt want a stodgy bun but this smashed seasoned burger and cheese with the toast is complete QUALITY and id reccomend it to anyone. Even with the mixup i was happy to pay as we both enjoyed the food so much but the manager/owner wouldnt let me, told me i can pay next time, and i will certainly be back

As a cherished member of the FAT community I just had to try this.. and OMG imagine the best thing you have ever tasted and forget about it . This is absolutely out of this world .I literally felt the diabetes kick in straight away just by looking at the burgers. I don't even mind that there £10 each I'd happily pay more knowing how mouth watering these are . Honestly if you want the best food coma ever definitely try these .. I wish I could personally thank the maker of the burgers and owner of this buisness. You have personally fulfilled what I was missing in live . ❤️
