Hans & Gretel in Camden

Visitamos ayer para la gruta de grinch con nuestro niño de 10 y 12 años. A todos nos encantó. Me duelen las mejillas por reírme tanto. Dijeron que es la mejor experiencia de gruta que han hecho (y hemos hecho mucho a lo largo de los años! ) ¡Muchas gracias! Gracias especiales al grinch que fue muy rápido ingenioso e hilarante, su duende era brillante también! Muy recomendable

Experiencia Grinch absolutamente brillante, perfecta para nuestro niño de alto octanaje. Las sonrisas duraron horas después y ya está pidiendo volver el año que viene. El actor grinch es fantástico.

Tuve un día con mi amigo y visité Camden y me sentí seducido por la mirada de cuento de hadas del frente de Han y Gretel y arrastrando a mi amigo dentro. Nos encantó y tardamos siglos en elegir lo que queríamos y las dos personas que sirven no podrían haber sido más serviciales, amables y encantadores y nada era demasiado problema, ya que querían que disfrutemos de la experiencia completa, así que tuvimos muestras de varios helados y el cono de la chimenea. Después de mucha deliberación me conformé con el gofre de burbujas con rosquilla rosa y helado de mantequilla de cacahuete salada y todas las coberturas estaban absolutamente deliciosas y disfrutaban a cada momento. Muchas gracias fue un punto culminante de nuestro día : )

Ho provato questo gelato a Camden Market a Londra e l'ho trovato davvero buonissimo, il posto è veramente carino a tema fiaba e lo staff è molto gentile e cordiale. Il gelato è molto grande e si possono aggiungere diversi topping più se si vuole delle caramelle gommose

Fui ayer en el día más caluroso del año y fue bienvenido para ser honesto. X 2 helados (uno de los cuales era Chimenea uno muy ott) era 13 . 50 que me pareció bien como regalo. El personal era excepcional y educado. Las colas estaban bien y hay bolsas de asientos. Creo que este lugar necesita locales más grandes.

No pida ni compre nada aquí. Una gran trampa turística con precios ridículos. Pedimos 2 tazas pequeñas de helado y era increíblemente caro. ¡Sólo es helado!

On a girl's trip to Hans + Gretel, we were served by the friendliest worker James ! he was a star ! so chatty and kind ! the desserts were amazing, fresh and so tasty. 100% worth the price and a must-try in Camden :)

You want an ice, do you really need to have candy floss wrapped round the cone, covered in sprinkles, sauces and sweets? It will look amazing for an Instagram picture but it's far to much for anyone to actually enjoy. Massive que for nothing

We came yesterday on my son’s 10th birthday and we were really impressed with the theming of the place. It’s really beautiful inside. Lots of things to look at and while waiting there was a lovely member of staff who was entertaining the queue. He noticed it was my son’s birthday and he made a real fuss of him. Making lots of jokes, singing and shouting funny things out. He was hilarious and a real credit to them there. Thank you - you made Henry’s day (or Steve’s as he kept calling him!) 😂 It’s a little more expensive but the whole experience was worth it. It’s no average sweet shop!

As someone with a massive sweet tooth I can always find room for dessert and this place hit the spot after lunch in the market. Whilst it was busy, the staff didn't mind me tasting a couple flavours before making a decision - I settled on the snickers flavour which was low-sugar to my surprise! The staff were kind and helpful and I very much enjoyed my indulgent dessert. It was also nice to see that they had other things to buy other than the what's at the food counter. Bought a few snacks for later before I left :) Would recommend for anyone looking for a sweet treat, whether you're a kid or adult!

Had some family visiting from abroad and after some lunch in the market decided to try this place out. Even though we had to wait a little in a queue, they had entertainment in the form of an elf who was so funny and really added to the experience. They had a really good selection of sweets and pick n mix, and some little gifty bits that my family took back with them as presents. The staff were very friendly and had very good service in general! Would highly recommend if you're after dessert or just want to grab some treats for later!

My daughter loves Hansel & Gretel (and sweets) so we visited for the novelty. There are a dozen stalls in Camden selling the same food probably cheaper. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the sweets were stale and hard.

Painfully slow service, no organisation, dirty looking shop! The ice creams were very over priced and just tasted of pure sugar. Some of the staff looked horribly miserable and customer service was lacking. Worse still, we saw insects inside of the pic & mix sweets. My son and I were so disappointed. We will not be visiting again. There are far better and cleaner places to spend your money.

Absolutely amazing ice cream, great friendly staff that was incredibly busy but trying his best. Gave us a free ice cream as an apology for delay which was not needed at all. 100/10

much ado about nothing. Ice cream was not that special to make the trip to that place. my grandson 98 yrs) - had not even finished his cup with just 2 scoops, which were pretty small.

Blatantly racist staff member. I will NEVER visit this place again after a truly horrendous experience there. We purchased ice creams and pic n mix sweets for our 4 (black and mixed race children) and the boy that served us did not offer our children a free lollipop, although he had given one to every single child before and after us in the queue. We called him out on it and asked why he had declined to offer them one. He lied and told us there were no more, then said he was only giving them away as they were broken, then said that the lollies we could see on the table (which he had offered to children before us) were not complimentary. Instead he went into a box under the table and produced one that was broken and falling apart. He told us that was all he had left. 1 broken lollipop to share amongst 4 children. When I demanded to speak to a manager, he quickly dived back under the same table and miraculously found a large box with lots more lollipops, and had the cheek to smirk and say, oh I have more. We were disgusted!! The ONLY thing separating our children and the others he had shown kindness to was their skin colour. The manager on shift (woman- didn’t catch here name) was super unhelpful and instead of listening to our concerns, she brushed them off, denied them, excused his racist behaviour because he was on work experience and apologised to HIM. She apologised to him when he was the one who had been racist towards children. Make it make sense!!!! Her customer service skills were far below par and she is not nearly qualified to run a business. She pulled the ‘I’m mixed race’ card and failed to explain what that had to do with the situation. From where I was stood, it was irrelevant. If you are a person of colour, DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IN THIS SHOP! They do not value or respect you

My family and I went to visit this shop on Saturday 16th July. We were so excited as I have wanted to visit for a very long time with my children, nephew and niece. Unfortunately our experience was completely ruined by a very blatant racist customer assistant. He was a young boy and sounded European. I was waiting in the queue to buy my kids some ice cream. There were 2 families in front of me. Now I have to mention that I am a black woman and my children are mixed. My niece and nephew are also black. We were the only people of colour in the shop. So he served the 2 customers in front of me and was very jolly. He offered the children a free lollipop (it was huge). When I got to the till, he completely ignored me until I had to say that I wanted to buy some icecream. He didn't smile, just spoak to me in a very flat tone. I told him twice that it was my daughter's birthday and nothing. So I paid and moved to the side to wait for thier icecreams. Low and behold, when he served all of the families behind me in the queue, his jolly voice returned and he also offered EVERY child a free lollipop. So clearly there was a problem with us. I was fuming now. I told me sister what had happened and she went to speak to him. We observed him 1st to see how he was with the customers and it was exactly as I had said. My sister told him very politely that he forgot to give our 4 children free lollipos as well. He then had the audacity to lie to our face and say that he didn't have any lollipops left. We refused to believe that so then he bent down to look under the counter and pulled out a really broken one and said that's all he had. We asked to take the ones on the counter (there were lots on display) but he said they were not for sale! We had seen him previously give them out to other customers so he was blatantly lying to us. My sister demanded to speak to his manager and then he moved so quickly and pulled out a box of brand new lollipos from under the counter.... The same desk where he previously said there were none left and where he could only find one broken one. A whole box of new lollipos. I was so shocked. Such blatant racism and extremely spiteful to the children... All under 8....just because of the colour of their skin... There was absolutely no need for it. How dare he. Why would he choose to work in Camden where it is so diverse if he is racist? The manager was ridiculous too as she was trying to stick up for him and made excuses for his behaviour. She said he was on work experience but I don't understand how that would effect him treating all the customers equally amd with respect. The blatant discrimination amd racism was obvious. The manager then had the cheek to apologise to the racist boy as we were leaving like he had been done wrong! So my sister had a go at the manager too as she shouldn't have done that. I will never ever step foot in there again and I will be telling everyone to stay clear. The manager needs training and that boys needs firing or at the very least, training. Absolutely disgusted and outraged. How dare they. It's now not even about the lollipops, it's the principal. They should be ashamed of themselves.

This is one of the most immersive sweet experience. This has scintillating decor. To start with you are welcomed by life sized statues of Hansel and Gretel. You get to see bright, giant sized p, mouthwatering lollipops and candycanes. There is the Candy Cottage too. You can have interesting chimney cakes and ice creams too. But this place is more of a visual delight for the Instagramers.

Came here recently after a recommendation from a friend. Have passed this store several times but never been inside. The interior vibe is very vibrant and colourful! The queueing system is a little confusing, as is the collection system. First, you pay for what you want and scoops etc, and then you can customise with syrups and sprinkles. The ice cream itself is decent, and great for Instagram. Its quite pricey for what it is, but that is Camden Market in general so its not out of place. Overall, a decent experience

Ice cream is fine, really nothing better than a tub of Haagen Dasz. However, the queuing system is awful. I have never seen. People scoop ice cream into a cone so slowly, it is glacial. Avoid unless you are actively trying to waste an hour of your day

Please don’t waste your time going to this place. We wasted at least an hour queuing to order & pay and then waited in a crowd of bored kids and angry parents to choose what we wanted. The pay and order system doesn’t work so we ended up in the middle of a huge crowd! The staff looked just as fed up as the queue. The food is nothing special really just an expensive gimmick and a huge waste of time. The owners need to come up with a better system as the current one doesn’t work…at all. Definitely won’t be returning.

We were told after queuing for 15 mins that the candy floss would be another 20 mins. The had no chimney cake. The shop was dirty, overcrowded and the most of the sweet shelves empty. Hugely disappointed. Ice cream was delicious though to at least make up for it. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

We waited in a massive queue for 25 minutes. When the queue ground to a halt we left. Given the cost of these desserts - ice cream, bubble waffles, chimney cakes etc, which all sounded tasty enough - you'd think they could lay on more staff. Perhaps there are just too many options and this slows everything down?
