I was born and raised in Camden and have seen it change. This is the best place to eat a takeaway in the area. You can tell it truly is authentic and healthy! Great price for the portions too.

as a tourist from germany i wanted to try indian food since london is pretty famous for it and this place looked really cute with reasonable prices, the food was great and it being halal makes it even better! the sweet lady also gave us some spring rolls for free, i would definitely recommend this food stall to anyone who is in london!

One of the best place I can say in Camden it’s Sonitas kitchen.. Because she have a positive vibe and everyone feels good at Sonitas kitchen. One of the best food point is this.gravy with Indian masalas taste osm. I recommend everyone to go there once and taste them you will go again and again

Staff was nice but however …. Paid 15£ for this. Was ok until I tasted it. Tasted very bland. Sorry but worst Indian food I’ve had to be honest… I have no idea how this place got 4.5 stars with this below basic chicken curry at this price. I don’t know if it’s because it’s made for Caucasians who can’t handle herbs and spices and who never had indian curries but I would not consider this curry. Never. It was more like chickens in watered down tumeric sauce. On the other hand, if you have never had Indian curry before, if you can not handle foreign spices and herbs, this could be alright. It was ok if I thought of it as source of protein and carbs. I was very disappointed because I was expecting CURRY. You can have a decent meal at different restaurants for this price. Don’t think I’ll ever return or recommend this place unless they improve with their recipe.

Unfortunately extremely bland Indian food. Absolutely no spices included. Ordered the Roti wrap and it wasn't even a roti, it was a tortilla which was barely heated! Too expensive for what was given and the resulting food was boring and tasteless. Lovely people but unfortunately not good good.

Great little corner of Indian street food in Camden! We had a delicious vegetarian curry and fries with chicken and red pepper curry on top! Ideal for lunch break! Prices are reasonable for London: 9-12 pounds. We had a blast! There are small bubbles at Camden Market so you can settle in there.

Got fries here. They were not fresh, very oily (maybe double fried)and cost 5£. Though the Service was very nice and you could’ve probably asked for help if there was a problem.

Had a lamb and a chicken curry both absolutely fantastic, can't recommend their food enough. Take time out of your day and enjoy great food from great people you won't be disappointed.

I could eat Sonita's curries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serious hankering for the lamb curry today. I'm not sure what the secret is but the curries are nothing like the greasy takeaway/restaurant ones, they are so bloody moorish without being fatty or full of sugar. Hurry up and come back!!!

Was visiting Camden market came across this fantastic taste of Indian food sonitas kitchen and it is vegan, vegetarian, but if you like meet l would highly recommend there lamb it was out of this world .

Great customer service and lovely healthy fresh curries covering a range of meat and vegan dishes. There is nothing like a mixture of these delicious curry dishes in a box and with any leftovers you can eat more the following day.

What a gem of a food stall in Camden Market. There are a lot of Asian same-same-but-not-different salty Chinese food stalls posing as Thai food etc. Not authentic. Sonita's Kitchen really nails it in terms of Indian flavours, quality and authenticity. Sonita's recipes are filled with glorious real spices, full cardamons and cloves as well as mouthwatering relishes to pack on generously. I often try the free tasters around Camden Market and am usually disappointed that the flavour is usually MSG and optional more MSG. Staff have always been enthusiastic and even offer me a quid off as a regular. For me it's a complete nutritious meal for the entire day as well as I love meandering around the location.

Amazing healthy Indian food, always fresh and always tastey. Definetly recommend it, if you haven't already tried them. I've tried all their options and can't decide which is my favourite. Top marks from me.

It's not the first time nor will it be the last time I eat this delicious curry! It's an absolute must for all. Sooo good, full of flavour it's not greasy, no scrimping on ingredients if your a meat lover!! What's also great is you can get veggie and vegan options too. Visited Sonita’s Kitchen with friends during our afternoon tour in Camden. Great and friendly service, very warm welcome, great food and great value for money. We would recommend this lovely place and definitely hope to go back.

Sonita's Kitchen did fantastic catering for 70 at a recent birthday party. Guests raved about how fresh, healthy and tasty it all was! Even curry sceptics loved the subtle but vibrant spicing and terrific home made chutneys and garnishes. Chilli fans had plenty of extras to spice it up. We chose chicken & red pepper curry and chickpea & spinach vegan curry, with veg samosas and pilau rice, so all gluten free & dairy free - and very reasonably priced. Sonita's team supplied everything: urns to keep it hot, biodegradable dishes, cutlery & napkins. Lovely food, lovely people, can't recommend them highly enough!

I had the chicken curry and chickpea curry, and both were good. The food was quite flavorful, but not as spicy as I was hoping. There was also quite a wait because they had just put the curry I wanted on the stove, so heating up took a while. The two women working there provided good conversation though!

Touring London we ended up in the Camden markets food area. What a treat this find. Small street type food vendor. Good healthy non oily curries. Price a bargain as well.

Alright food, but barely any rice with the curry. Blonde curly hair lady was quite rude. She barely looked at me while filling my plate and asking me what I wanted. Finally she added a bread I didn't ask for and charged me extra. I insisted I didn't ask for it and she made a rude and ironic comment. Her colleague was professional and gave me the money back. It's a pitty as she definitely gave a bad impression of the place.

I went to the sonitas kitchen in box park and I was so disappointed I went and got a falafel instead after 2 mouthfuls. I got the chickpea and spinach as well as the mixed vegetable curry. The Dahl wasn’t ready at 12.30 (?!). I have literally never tasted a worst Indian meal, the flavour was so bland, even of he rice, with the exception of the ridiculous about of salt that had clearly been added. The vegetables were also either frozen or tinned and made me feel sick. For a small portion at £7 I would have expected a LOT more. Can’t believe the “passion” paragraph written on the restaurants website because the only way passion was put into that food was if it was labelled salt.

Today me and my best friend went to visit Camden, hungry after having spent the day simply strolling, shopping and enjoying we stumbled upon the most amazing two ladies I have met for quite a while. The friendliest, most open, happy people having this cozy curryshop where they within seconds not only dished out the most superb vegan dishes, but managed to put an even brighter smile on our faces. With several dishes that would make anyones mouth water and an openess and service-mindedness anyone in the bussiness surely could learn from I were full of expectations when I had the plate filled with a mix of three strictly vegan dishes and a bread wich made my meal a culinary discovery. I sat down and began eating. I really dont have words for this. The amazing atmosphere that is Camden market, coupled with these two magical ladies, could this really be true? This amazing taste had me thrown into the present moment. The curries melted in my mouth, the tastes not only mixing together amazingly, the heat was completely right, a few driplets of sweat on my forehead and the coldness of the last winterdays simply vanished as I enjoyed, the bread complimenting the heat and the placement of their shop, straight in the sun. To me this experience was something I haven't felt for several years. The kindness of the ladies, the amazing tastes of their amazing food and their placement. Simply amazing, simply brilliant, simply love. I will make sure to stop by here everytime I visit Camden, and if you're a sane person so should you. Best regards, the swedes. ✌🙏❤🌟😊😇

Authentic and Healthy Indian cusine, great care has been taken to perfect every recipe of this delicious menu, my personal favourite is the absolutely delicious chickpeas. This is the closest to homemade cooking served in a restaurant 10 stars to the wonderful team!

Underwhelming. I bought the large box. Most of it was filled with cheap veg fillings. Meat portions were extremely thin on the ground. Salad wasn't bad but all in all represents poor value for money. Taste-wise, rather bland and lamb definitely gamey, but this will appeal to a non-desi clientele. The owner is keen to point out there is very little fat used, but alas dear reader she is behind the times. Ghee, the traditional Indian butter for cooking curries is not only now recognised an excelled healthy fat, you simply cannot make a proper curry without blooming your spices in it. Sonita's Kitchen is not authentic but it's acceptable if there's nothing else around.

This stand may well have had a 5 star rating if there was not the unfortunate incident of the senior member of staff publicly chastising her junior trainee. It made both him, my friend and I uncomfortable and slightly changed our view of her friendly exterior. As a manager staff morale is key and humiliating staff in front of customers would never be my practice. Overall food good. Low in oil. Too much chilli though.
