I don't normally write reviews but thought that when the man that served us had a chance to cool down, he might read this review and adapt his behaviour towards customers. We came in and ordered three cream teas and when we received our scones, they were hard and not warm, the jam was in a peel back pot (with that cheap jelly style jam), and butter. We waited and called the waitress over and asked if our clotted cream was coming, and she said they had ran out, so called her manager over (who originally took our order). He reiterated that there was no cream left, and we said that we wish he had told us when we ordered and decided that we didn't want it without the cream. He said "Fine! Well you are paying for this scone because you have cut it in half!". I said that it was because we were expecting clotted cream, and he said "I don't have time for this, pack up and leave here as soon as possible". He shouted after us that we also got our teas for free as well - which never did arrive. It was really bizarre behaviour and almost comical in how bad the service was. It must have created a bad atmosphere when we left as everyone was looking at the situation unravel. All in all, I wouldn't return on the basis that the food looked awful and you might be chucked out in the first 5 minutes of sitting down.

Llego a Hampstead Reino Unido siempre, ahora, y luego desde Texas. Voy a PAX LODGE, un Girl Scout / Guide World Center.

No volveré a visitar. Demasiado asustado para usar el inodoro.

We waited almost an hour for our food and it was not worth the wait. After half an hour the waitress came to tell us that they had lost our order and asked us to reorder. We would have left at that point but we had already paid and were just very hungry. We were told it would be 10-15 minutes. It was then almost half an hour before our food arrived. We had a panini and a sandwich which were both very disappointing.

Welcoming staff added to the friendly atmosphere. There were quite a few tables available for two and it was nice and cool inside as this was a very hot day in London. The food was decent value for money considering the location. The menu varied from breakfast to lunch food and the usual drinks. I had the club sandwich which came with chips and salad. Impressive presentation came with great succulent taste and all round satisfaction. The other meal that was ordered was a tuna melt panini that came with salad. The service was decent but could be quicker as the it wasn't particularly busy. The food all round was very tasty. It is an old, quaint building but could be refurbished slightly in certain places. Nice people watching location and tap water free! Family friendly and was nice and quiet inside with outside seating available. To conclude-friendly, chatty staff, yummy food and good menu choices. Delicious range of patisserie and bakery items by the till also! Would recommend to families or anyone passing by.

Good little tea shop however I hate how it is changing over time. They are making it more modern and I miss the old style tea and cakes.

I was at the Royal Free hospital for an early morning appointment and afterwards was looking for breakfast. In the area are the glamorous coffee shops etc. This may not look pristine but so glad we gave it a try. Lovely cup of tea for my wife and I. I then had the porridge and we both opted for the scrambled egg with toast and fresh cooked tomato. I would recommend this as a good venue to eat in the local area.

I had bought a grouoon for afternoon tea for my friend and have honestly never felt so embarrassed to take a friend somewhere. The ‘tea room’ was more of a kebab house/cafe and absolutely not the setting the groupon picture portrayed. My friend had called the week before to ask if we could book a table for a Saturday afternoon and the manager had said “no need” which raised initial worries. She called the day before to ask for gluten free bread and the manager said he would let the chef know. Upon arrival the waitress had no idea about the groupon deal and said that “my manager usually deals with this” so I felt sorry for her that she’d been left in a position where she didn’t know what to do. We had to describe to her the afternoon tea at which point she asked us to take a seat. No gluten free bread was available. Upon looking at the menu I noticed I had paid £17 for an afternoon tea deal in groupon and at the back of the menu it was priced as £18 anyway - so not sure how I got a great ‘deal’ here if that’s the price they advertise on day to day basis. The chef appeared and asked what cakes we wanted but not to choose the ones in the glass cabinet as “new ones are coming” a man then walked through with two big boxes full of cakes and we chose. These cakes did look amazing. After 50 minutes of waiting patiently we finally got a cup of tea. The waitress did apologise for the wait being long. We asked to swap to coffee but were told “you can only get what the groupon says” on arrival both cups and saucers were dirty and stained and the waitress replied “yes they are coffee stains we can’t get them off” the second cup my friend had, had lipstick on the rim and when she complained the waitress said “we’ve just cleaned this in the machine”. The sandwiches came after 1hr and 15minutes. After this and being there for one hour we were asked what fillings we wanted in the sandwiches. We could “only choose one each” not a selection. The bread was white and stale. My friend ordered egg and said the mayo tasted like mayo and very cheap and she couldn’t eat it all. Although at this point we were really hungry. The fresh cakes were the only saving grace and were nice. The scone had been microwaved and then left to go cold and did not taste good - the small Rhoddas cream pot had clearly been microwaved too as the ‘cream’ was runny and yellow like melted butter. I felt so unbelievably embarrassed that I’d taken my friend here for a lovely time and felt very dissapointed. Although the waitress tried and I felt sorry for her that she didn’t have her manager there to take care of these problems in what one would have expected to have been a busy Saturday I don’t think in general I’ve ever had such a bad experience as this one. I shall never go back and neither will I get my money back or the two hours of my afternoon.

I took my Mum to Hampstead when she was visiting and I wanted her to get an Afternoon Tea. I chose the most expensive option: Afternoon Tea (as opposed to cream tea) with Prosecco. For a place call Hampstead Tea room I was expecting a proper posh tea room, but we arrived into a Khebab place/café that was just trying to look posher than they were. When I asked for Prosecco, they said they didn't do Prosecco anymore, they hadn't for over a year and served us a glass of their house white wine. The food wasn't bad but the experience wasn't great.

Stopped off for some lunch after visiting the hospital. Had a meal which was lovely and coffee. The coffee was really nice and we were given a complimentary cup by the manager having mentioned it. Clean and friendly. Definitely be returning.

My mum and I popped in late July. Had a lovely milky coffee (trad caff order!) and we shared a few fresh pastries. Staff were polite and helpful and gave us a bag to take home what pastries we couldn't finish.

Criticise Starbucks all you like but serving a decent cup of coffee is the one thing that they do well - loads better than Costa amongst others. The only better one is Roasting Plant Coffee in the Strand but then that place is several rungs up the ladder

Llevamos más de 45 minutos esperando La comida no era fresca Sabor poco divertido La sopa estaba congelada en el medio, así como la comida congelada.
