Have been past this cafe for months but never had the chance to go in due to the parking problems around the area, but it seems a few more parking spaces have popped up ...so i managed to finely .park ...... this cafe is brilliant the staff are very nice and polite the breakfast are named after Shakespeare and hamlet .. well worth a 5☆ rating I had the Shakespeare breakfast and toast plus coffee which was all included in the cost of the breakfast... very good at £7. Will definitely go back to this cafe .......many thanks to all in the Hamlet cafe

I would call this a local cafe . Bus stop is right outside on busy Hornsey road . There is seating outside If you don’t mind the noise of traffic . Caters for all , coffees , beers , light bites and blow out meals . I have done them all and can recommend . Prices and service can’t be faulted .

Hamlet is my local cafe and has always been great value. However since lockdown a lot of thought has been put into a new menu with healthy options at great prices as well as an evening menu. The kebabs here are beautifully grilled and the classic English breakfast options are still great value. Will always be my first choice in this area. Staff are really friendly and it’s well worth a visit.

I've eaten here half-a-dozen times and it's good. The meat's grilled just right, the bread's soft, the coffee's great. What's not to like? Friendly staff, came out fat and happy. It's your basic good old-fashioned kebab style cafe and you get what you expect and... a little more... as they care. It is what it is, and that's great.

I feel like I could spend a day here and have the time of my life. From breakfasts to cocktails to kebabs and steak dinners and so much passion in every dish they serve. Has to be experienced to really get a grasp of how good it is. I don't review often but this cafe is a true hidden gem

The food is fresh and really tasty - nothing too much trouble. Yoggi & Rose really made us feel welcome - & safe - when we celebrated our Mums 87th Birthday. She is a wheelchair user and loves the food there as well as the staff.

Out I went, for a thoroughly intense knees-up with Janto, Chunger and Big Mervyn. After drowning our sorrows with Big Merv’s inheritance from his deid Mam, and ingesting some lighter fluid avec workerman’s glue, we headed to The Joker for a knees up. First in, Chunger got in the pints which were all exceedingly tasty and helped wash down the acrid tang of glue at the back of my throat. It was only after Janto repeatedly and brazenly kept impersonating a couple on a date next to us, by doing the young man’s lovely, soft posh accent that things really got funny. ‘WHAT IS SO FUNNY?’ He boomed. ‘Please let’s just leave, these men are savages and I think they’re on something, they’re out of their heads!’ said his date. We laughed some more and Merv said, too right, we’re out of our heads on good times, and also a heavy dose of my deid Ma’s dosh. ‘You sick freaks’ intoned the gent. ‘You think you’re so funny!’ It was then that Chunger stood up and roared with the strength of a hurricane into his own pint glass - ‘I AM TRYING TO HAVE A LAUGH. MY FATHER WAS NOT VERY NICE TO ME’ We fell about the floor laughing and ordering more pints which flowed as fast as the beautiful currents of the Arno. Things became decidedly ugly when I took a gulp of the young gent’s gravy which was on his plate, but Big Mervyn settled accounts by leaning on the man’s shoulder and whispering a few sweet nothings. Overall, I had a cracking night and the craic was 90 as we Ho Ho Ho’d all the way home with the young couple’s umbrella which they very kindly gave to us, as well as £50, which was very generous.
