Great burgers - quite easily the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had - my meat eating partner couldn’t tell the difference!

After waiting almost a year to finally get to Brixton for a halo burger I can tell you it's worth every penny. Don't be put off by a slightly higher price than other fast food brands, Halo is very much a case of you get what you pay for and the experience was nothing short of amazing. Would highly recommend. A hidden gem of Brixton.

Tried to order from the Hackney store says it closes at 9:30pm on delivery app waited to order at 8:30pm for dinner & orders already switched off early! What’s the point in having an order closing time on the app if you turn it off an hour early!!

Great burger, great vegan choices. Used to get a lotus milkshake which was INCREDIBLE but they've taken it off the menu sadly.

Great burgers even if you’re not vegan. We had the garlic parm spesh fries and burger and sweet Carolina. Pricey but tasty, if getting take out - bring plastic bag as the paper ones leak grease / oil from the special fries sauce. Gutted they don’t do the milkshakes anymore - said they prob won’t be back. Service friendly and nice. Can get lucky with parking right outside but can be tricky sometimes.

The quality of food has dropped since opening. Especially the fries. The fries used to be AMAZING. Now they’re like oven fries .

Looking for a vegan burger at 9 on a Sunday night isn't easy, but on my route home, Halo Burger popped up on Google maps. Late night parking available outside, I went into the small but well laid out establishment. Looking at the menu, there are a few options such as vegan cheeseburger & quarter pounder, but off of the menu on a separate poster was the Garlic burger - this needs to be added to the menu as a permanent option. (my partner loves garlic on pretty much everything so this sounded like a winner for her). I also ordered the garlic/cheese fries which was a generous portion. Staff were quick and friendly, nice atmosphere too. I drove home with the bag closed but that did not stop the entire car smelling like something that could ward off the most determined vampire!!!! My partner rated the burger amongst the best vegan burger she has ever had, 9/10 for her, would've been 10/10 if the burger was larger (for the main menu, most if not all burgers can have extra patties added). There are also shakes on the menu which we would like to try so a return visit is on the cards.

Had a tasty cheeseburger at Halo Burger today (£6.45) and shared some pink salt fries (£4) and a pot of signature sauce (£1) with my husband. The beyond burger - with violife cheese, gherkins, lettuce and chopped onion - was juicy and smoky. Friendly service. A decent place for vegan fast food.

Very good vegan burger, the beyond patty is super tasty. The bun is nice and fluffy. The chips are just like mcdonald's chips. I had the BBQ burger which had really good crispy onions in. Took about seven minutes to cook and two burgers with drinks and chips was about £25, very reasonable. Definitely one of the better vegan burger joints.

I mean, there are just no words. The new Christmas burger with the sprouts are a game changer. Even my boyfriend who is a dreaded meat eater (ew) loved it so much and went as far to say that it was one of the best burgers he’s had. Genuinely, if I had to choose what my last meal on this planet would be, it would hands down be a halo burger every time.

I warmly invite you to try it and I appeal to both vegetarians and carnivores, the best vegan burger I've ever eaten, almost identical to real beef if not better (and I'm a first-rate carnivore) and waiting for the burger becomes a pleasure when Wilmar is there to serve you, he is a really nice and professional waiter. all really excellent to try

Staff were fantastic. Got a small error on our order but fixed it immediately, were super friendly and helpful. Smokey Carolina burger was great. Definitely worth a visit if you're around.

Halo fries were abysmal. Vegan “cheese” was nothing like real cheese - had the creaminess but not the flavour. Burger was average at best. All in all, I would only recommend it to those who are crazy McDonalds fans. At £15 for Big Mac knock off and loaded fries I expected something more. My personal take on this concept is - I don’t understand it and I don’t need it in my life. Plus for staff who all were extremely nice and informative.

Okay, hear me out . Wow, just wow. I have never tried a so tasty burger ever in my life. And let me let you I have tried a lot of fast-food. I was skeptical at first, but I would never recommend another burger brand but Halo Burger🌱🧡🍔 Vegan food is hitting it hard as it should. Staff is kind and everything seems so clean ✨. If you love burgers like I do, do yourself a favor and go and try this out of world fake-amazing meat burger, oh and the onion rings are SO GOOD try them too it won’t disappoint🤙🏻😊. I can’t recommend them enough. Vegan burgers are more “burgers” than the “real burgers”. What else can you ask for when going to eat a burger. Sweet and kind staff (thank you Melani 🙏🏻) amazing food , nice time. As I always say 🌱 great food, great memories🌱.

I’m not vegan but this burger is better than almost every beef burger I’ve ever had. Had the Halo burger and didn’t disappoint. Get the fries too. Portion sizes are good for the price. Ordered via Deliveroo and food was hot when it arrived.

In all honesty the best burger I’ve ever had. Including beef. Reminds me of In’n’Out LA - simply delicious. I first had it a tipsy but subsequently completely sober and every time it’s the most delicious thing. I don’t know how they do it. Superb ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

Delicious food! Really tasteful burgers BUT they are tiny. It is so small that for £12, this is plain daylight robbery. The sides are substantially portioned and that prompted a third star from me. Places like this give people the wrong impression about vegan food. Update: Thank you for the response and explanation below. I hope you do build up to match the big names.

It was easy to order the burger but it was requested that the meal arrive at a pre determined time and this did not happen and arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. This would not have been a problem but my companion had ordered their meal through a different restaurant and their order did arrive at the agreed time so my meal was left until the other meal arrived. So the burger was not eaten as hot as it should have if it had been delivered at the agrred time.

I regularly come grabbing some food in here. I like the speedy service and well cooked dishes. I recommend this place.

The food tastes good but seriously how can you justify two tiny burgers and 2 tiny sides for over £30... I dont believe the pricing reflects your ingredient/sourcing. The "double patty" is more like a normal vegan burger sliced in half and the £7 chicken nuggets are so small you could fit all of them in the palm of your hand. Its shame most vegan places are over priced but this one really takes that to the extreme. I'd have given 4 or 5 stars if I didnt feel so ripped off

My god these are good, I’d have thought it was real beef and cheese if I hadn’t been told otherwise. Both me (veggie) and my (meat-eating) friend alike loved this. Deep fried jalapeños were a great side too. Would much recommend.

The Halo burger was solid and what you expect from Beyond. Fries and crispy onion strips had flavour every square mm. My gf had the Christmas shake and was in a taste coma. Would recommend.

I love Halo Burger! The burgers are amazing. My favourite was the Katsu Burger, then came the Flame Burger and it's even better! I've just tried the Christmas Burger and it's absolutely delicious too! Please never move away from Brixton <3

Had the flame burger. Real tasty. Deep-fried chillis on top was a good addition, chilli cheese. Don't be put off though, a good temperature, not too hot!

Love the place and love the pop brixton where they are in basically. Is like a community place full of different businesses in containers, i think is one of the best meat alternatives the one the they use for their burgers. Bring your non vegan friend,it would be shocking for him to believe that is vegan

I was assaulted on Sunday 4th October at 12.43pm when I went in to place a takeaway order. The male member of staff told me to get out. My hand immediately went to my face but to my relief the mask on my face hadn't disappeared. My confusion set in and I told the man I simply wanted to place an order to go. He basically got in my face as I quickly backed away out of the store and told me that they don't offer takeaways. Apparently customers are only able to order via the app and eat outside in the designated seating areas, even though I'd placed an order to go two weeks ago. The man barricaded the door as though he expected me to rise to his level of aggression. If he had simply told me that they weren't doing tale away orders that would have been fine. Instead he felt it appropriate to assault a woman. To make it worse when I was leaving the area at 3.43pm I saw a man eating inside the restaurant and from his attire it was clear he wasn't an employee. I guess the man assaulted me only welcomes certain types into the restaurant. Hmmmm..... Response from Halo Burger below: Thank you for taking time to write us about your experience at Halo Brixton. I am really sorry to hear that the experience was not to the standard we thrive for. Pop Brixton has high restrictions and do not allow costumers into the stores to place an order for eat in or take away option, therefore I have contacted them to inform them of this accident that occurred yesterday as it is their responsibility to have someone on the front gates, take track and trace information from each customer and take you through ordering process via their app ordering system. Additionally, the person of Asian appearance you referred to in your second email is part of our team. Due to health and safety reasons our team is required to change their cloths while on break. I would like to apologise for our team member's behaviour which was completely unacceptable and I want to assure you a proper disciplinary hearing will take place. Good if you're craving vegan fast food, but it is pricey. The don't have a cow fries were great but the quarter pounder wasn't very memorable so I'd get the halo burger next time. I ordered by scanning the QR code on the table and paying through the app and it all worked seamlessly. I actually hope they keep ordering that way at Pop Brixton as it's much nicer to stay at your table and have the food delivered to you!

First visit to Halo. Probably the best Vegan burger in London. We tried Halo burger, BBQ burger and Flame burger and all of them were good. Visiting Brixton Pop up is challenging in Covid times with officious door people but that is life.

Since discovering Halo Burger, I’ve ordered it three times and my boyfriend (a fully devoted meat eater) has once ordered it sneakily alone. It’s fair to say that Halo Burger is causing issues in our relationship. Faultless burgers paired with cheesy fries that I’ve been searching for my whole life, this is vegan fast food at its best. Pop Brixton with new COVID-19 measures was airy, organised and spacious.

it feels so amazing to eat such delicious guilt free food. you absolutely have to try the "chicken nuggets". they charge £1 for sauces/ ketchup which i think is outrageous so i cant give full marks but everything else is great!

Unbelievably good. This vegan joint takes the burger game to a whole new level. I ordered the signature Halo Burger and was beyond impressed. Two succulent faux beef patties fused with melty cheese. The first bite left me speechless. Can't wait to go back and wallow in ethical deliciousness.

Yesterday was the first time we went to this magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the generous service, with the high quality meal and booze and with the modest charge. We will absolutely return there again.

Incredible burgers! We de-toured to here on the way back from an event in London and I am SO glad we did. I demolished the burger in under two minutes and the fries were equally as good. Thank you for creating this masterpiece! Please deposit more restaurants across the UK so I don’t have to travel to London to have them!

Ok I’m not vegan but... I LOVE halo! I actually would choose them over many options, even being technically an onmivore. I LOVE the flavour of the Smokey Carolina burger, the fries are epic, and the ‘nuggets’ are unreal. Yes, even as a an occasional meat-eater I would CHOOSE this over over other outlets 😍

We’d read the reviews about the burgers being expensive before we went so we were expecting that, but as soon as we’d finished eating we both went “yeah, not worth the money”. They’re a good imitation of a McDonalds style burger, nothing fancier. They’re tasty but basic and not worth £9. And then the fries, well I’m sorry to say they were amongst the worst I’ve ever had. There’s no need for them to be that bad; dry and cardboard-y. We don’t regret going but we wouldn’t go again.
