Less than £10 for complete "De-lux Breakfast " very well prepared and presented, beware. Cash only and ATM charges you to take your money

Road signage offers WC, went in to use the facilities, as we were leaving a man behind the counter asked us to buy something. We replied we only wanted the toilet, he again said we should purchase something. Surely if advertising as a service, a purchase is not compulsory. Really made us feel uncomfortable. I appreciate if signs say customer use only then it's my choice to purchase as well as use the facilities but not to be coerced into buying.

Wonderful local asset - good range of items for grocery, fresh and frozen. Also wines/spirits as well. During the last weeks has also offered a delivery service for those isolated at home for Coronavirus - couldn't have survived without them!

It's been nearly a year since my review of the Stores and Cafe. In that time, much has changed, mostly for the good. Firstly the selection of goods available in the shop has improved. You can now do a weekly shop there as long as you don't want some particularly esoteric item! It's the Cafe that has really come on though: In addition to the homemade cakes, there's fabulous breakfasts made with quality locally sourced bacon, sausages, free range eggs and bread. There are also proper burgers, made by the ladies on site. While you're eating and drinking, have a look at some of the crafts for sale - again made by staff in the shop: There's Jams, pickles and chutneys, beautiful wooden jigsaw animals and a selection of bags, purses, cushion covers and other sewn / embroidered items. Best of all, they're all extremely good value for money. EDIT: Of course the Covid pandemic has seriously curtailed visitors but the shop is offering free local food delivery!

Recently opened the upstairs cafe here. It's accessed through the village shop. Great for Tea, Coffee, homemade cakes, sandwiches, paninis, baked spuds etc. Nice and comfortable with free wifi and friendly service. Take outs available but most people seem to like to stay and chill for a while. Perfect if you want a break whilst driving to or from mid-Wales and don't want a greasy spoon experience. The cakes vary from day to day depending on what the local ladies feel like baking. So far though, I haven't been disappointed! The downstairs stores are also useful for all your essential supplies. Highly recommended!

Beautiful meal last night. The steak was cooked to perfection and the seabass was beautiful. Nikki and Grace were very attentive, as always, ensuring that you have everything you need and always having time for a chat whilst serving their customers.

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far
